This place is a complete freaking joke first off I was referred to them by my local dentist yes I asked him how long it would take to get the referral and was told a week to 10 days and they returned and told me that I should call the insurance company to try to get it to speed up faster to do their job and to get my referral quicker it will be a guy should I call and not them second the day I went in to get my tooth pulled they can't get me Nana Nam and because I have denticle it doesn't cover anesthesia doesn't cover putting me out so that I don't have to feel the tremendous Amount of pain because they couldn't get me numb so they said that they wanted me to come back the next day and they would try it again if there is a doctor there that could put me under and get the tooth pulled but when I returned the next day they wanted to do local anesthesia again after I was already put the all they have saw the local anesthetic the day before and was already numb the day before and in so much pain that I couldn't get through it so once again I got turned away didn't get my teeth pulled and I'm still in amount at tremendous amount of pain so now what do I do he told me oh well maybe you can get apply for credit yeah well if I had good credit don't you think I wouldn't be on dentical, I'm on dentical for a reason , it's cause I'm broke and I'm in need .worst experience ever they are very very rude and heartless and all they seem to care about was getting paid , they didn't care that I was in A tremendous amount of pain and I'm still in a tremendous amount of pain with the pain shootingThroughout my tooth and into my ear hey but oh well thanks for nothing! read more

Coastal Orthodontics cannot get anything right. Seems like every time we leave there we have to make another appointment within two or three days to return because something broke or a wire came out. We must've been there 30 times in the last 12 months. It's just ridiculous. The last episode is when we go in for an adjustment and for make us wait for 30 minutes outside to get access to the building and then they take our forehead temperatures which of course is hot because it's a 95° day out and they won't let us in. They are utterly ridiculous. read more

I felt some of my appointments were fluff, archware out - no adjustment other than new o rings - same arch wire put back in, obvious Dr wasn't interested in finishing my treatment on time. Two brackets continually popped off where I have crowns and in the end I had to just go without them and it looked odd, but there has to be a limit to how many times you have to go back and have your brackets put back on. I've since learned other orthodontist don't have any problems keeping brackets on crowns. read more

They explained thoroughly what each appointment would consist of and finances once I started my care. Dr. Lautt and his entire staff are wonderful!!! My son, Christopher, got his braces off yesterday! This was no small task as my son has a crazy gag reflex and panics about it a bit. Even through all his tears and all the breaks we needed to take, davawn and all the staff, stayed calm and relaxed and encouraged him on!!! Dr. Lautt did an amazing job giving my kiddo an even better smile then he had to begin with just in time to start 4th grade!!!! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed which is needed for the stressed parents and nervous kiddos!!!! The next step was getting impressions done which has to be done with sedation at the dentist. Dr Lautt and his staff are so understanding of my kids needs that they have been willing to meet us at the dentists so we can do the rest with as little stress as possible!!!!! Dr Lautt is exceptional! I have known this office for approximately 10 years when Dr Lautt worked wonders to correct my smile and now he is doing the same for my youngest son. He has an excellent friendly approach which works very well with children. He works tirelessly to make sure you get what you want and keeps you updated with the progress of your child. I travel over 20 miles just to get my son to his office. There are others closer to me in Thousand Oaks but none better in my opinion. read more

My daughter was under his care for several years, including braces, headgear and retainers. She religiously followed his regimen. After it became apparent that her teeth were not looking as they should, we took her to two different orthodontists, both of whom said that the damage that had been done to her mouth was probably not repairable! They recommended immediate removal of the appliances that Dr Lautt had installed. Never has he acknowledged the problems she had, or made any attempts to compensate us for the thousands of dollars and the years that my daughter endured wearing the appliances.
