I'm very grateful to give my testimony on how my life changed so much for the better upon meeting…read more Dr.Wayne Cooper I had been diagnosed with COPD in 2016. Having been treated by several Drs, my condition was worsening as the side effects of the inhalers were awful. I had made a referral and was introduced to DrCooper by phone. He called me prior to our first visit and informed me that he was not comfortable with results of the most recent lung test done by another physician, and ordered a new set . His opinion was correct, the prior test results were wrong, I was unresponsive to the prior treatments because I was allergic to some ingredients in the medication prescribed prior. He took the time to explain what was going on, what he was doing, and told me he hoped to see me in 1 year. I have not had a bout with emphysema or bronchitis since I've been under his care. Much gratitude for you I'm eternally gram

Dr. Hooper seems very thorough, although there were a few mistakes on his consultative notes. He…read moresaid I don't have asthma, but years ago I was diagnosed with both exercise-induced asthma AND cough-variant asthma, both of which continue to reoccur but improve with albuterol. Dr. Hooper thought my chronic cough was likely due to post-nasal drip, but my ENT disagreed and said the problem was more likely due to allergic-caused cough-variant asthma. My pulmonary function tests showed some deficiencies, but nothing major. Chest CT was normal except for some port-surgical scarring after left pneumothorax x2 surgical repairs and pleurodesis. I'm getting mixed messages from my doctors, but my cough is much improved after discontinuing Singular.

Went here today. Been here before. Both times the front desk workers have been bad. They have…read moreattitude. They insist on me filling out things or doing things that are unnecessary or that I've already done and then do petty things to mess things up. So, before my appointment today I filled out everything about me and my medical health online during a lengthy checkin process. It took me 30 minutes to fully complete it. When I arrived today the woman helping me wanted me to manually fill out paperwork with all of the same information and I refused and said you've already got it all and I'm not filling out duplicate information. She insisted on me giving them my insurance card when I don't have an actual card. I have my info. I've never needed my card. They always have my insurance number and company and info and do not need my physical card or a copy of it to bill the insurance company. But she was insistent and i told her the above. I asked her to cancel an upcoming appointment with another doctor there about this point. In fact I asked her twice to cancel it. She said she would. I got called back for the pulmonologist and he was actually fine. No issues. Come back out to make a followup appointment before I leave per the doctor. Make it with another lady there. I then asked her if the appointment with the other doctor there was canceled like I requested and she said no it was not. I told her to cancel it. She did. She set the followup appointment with me. I left. The previous lady did not cancel it like she said she would. Sigh. I get a text after I left saying the appointment I just made had been moved to the day prior than what I just made. I suspect the First Lady with a bad attitude moved it just to be petty. This is awful customer service. Just not a good experience. She was power tripping. Had an attitude and did things to be petty and to screw with me and my medical stuff. It was a lot of unnecessary friction. A simple check in at the front desk of any medical office should be easy and pleasant. I'd give zero stars because it was that bad. But one star is for the doctor because he was ok. Also, Dr. Hsing their sleep doctor is not a good doctor if you have a circadian sleep disorder like DSPD or DSPS or Non-24 or other. His treatment of me and my condition was the worst I've ever encountered and I've seen many sleep doctors over the years. He is completely backwards about treating those type of disorders and gave bad advice and no realistic help or treatment to me at all. I am extremely knowledgeable about Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder and treatment protocols and he is just absolutely wrong. Attached is the plan he came up with that if he tried to follow it himself he couldn't. It's an impossible plan. If you have DSPD or N24 I'd run to another doctor and skip this place. He's their only sleep doctor. Unfortunately. He may be ok for sleep apnea but not for circadian rhythm sleep disorders. He covers all of their locations. Anyway. Front desk is a real piece of work. I will not be going back after I'm done with the pulmonologist I saw today and the stuff he ordered to get done. In the future I'll find somewhere else to go. I would probably advise the same to anyone reading this.

No visiting leaves a person feeling very isolated and the family feeling helpless. The nurses and other doctors at Scripps Encinitas have been wonderful this week. Then today... Dr Eismans first day seeing out father. Our father prior to pneumonia was a full time volunteer at Brother Bennos daily. He lives independently and drives. He is an amazing 96 year old. Dad has been battling pneumonia and is losing, as of today. This is the first day we were told that dad would not recover. Up to now there has been hope from all nurses & doctors. Dr Eisman called and asked "what are we doing here? why all the tests and scans? why the antibiotics? he has a zero percent chance of living so why do this?" Yesterday was totally different, it changed overnight. What a horrible thing to hear in a horrible way. There are other ways of saying the same thing. Every professional that I have spoken with says the minute Eisman shows up everyone is on edge. He is full of himself, domineering and uncaring to say the least. That's pretty telling when your peers believe you need to quit and that's exactly what I've been told. Dr Scott Eisman, if you ever had a desire to help you've lost it in your ego. And you & your ego are a killer.
