I honestly cannot say enough good things about the guides at Jetski2Catalina. From the moment we…read morestarted, they were incredibly positive, supportive, and attentive. I felt completely safe and genuinely taken care of under their watch the entire time. They handled a large group with ease, and remained attentive to everyone's safety. When there were a few more rambunctious personalities in the group, they handled those situations effortlessly while still keeping the experience fun for everyone. I was continually impressed by how aware they were of everything happening around us. What really pulled at my heartstrings was what happened toward the end of our trip. During the last 45 minutes or so, the guides received word about a pod of bottlenose dolphins, and they went out of their way to make sure we got to see them. When we did...I cried. It was absolutely majestic and one of those moments I'll never forget. I'm sure these guides have seen thousands of dolphins. It's probably something they encounter regularly as part of their job, but what struck me most was how genuinely excited they were for US to see them. They could have easily treated it like, "Yep, there's another pod of dolphins," and moved on. Instead, they were just as enthusiastic about us experiencing it as we were. That really stayed with me. It showed me that they don't just do this job, they care about the experience they're giving people. They haven't become so accustomed to these incredible things that they've lost the excitement of sharing them with someone experiencing them for the first time. I appreciated that more than I can put into words. One more thing I really want to say... I did this entire excursion by myself. I have plenty of friends, but for one reason or another, nobody was able to join me. Some were nervous, some had previous injuries, and some just couldn't make it work. I almost let that stop me. I'm SO glad I didn't. If you're waiting for someone else to be available, waiting for a friend to feel brave enough, or waiting for the "right" person to go with you, just go. You could be missing out on something absolutely incredible while waiting for someone else's schedule, comfort level, or circumstances to line up with yours. I went alone and never once felt alone. The guides made me feel safe, supported, and included from beginning to end. The Catalina experience itself was incredible, but the guides are what made it unforgettable. And seeing those dolphins while watching the guides get excited for us to experience it...that's a memory I'll carry with me for a very long time. 10/10 experience. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

If you're on the fence about booking Jet Ski 2 Catalina, do it. This was truly a bucket-list…read moreexperience, and our guides, Drew, Zack, and Phil made it unforgettable. They were professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. They took an incredible adventure and made it even better. Before our trip, I spent a lot of time reading reviews trying to figure out what was actually worth bringing. Here's what I found compared to my own experience: The most commonly recommended items were sunscreen, gloves, water shoes, and goggles. I completely agree. We brought all of them just in case and ended up using everything except the goggles. I wear contacts and expected the ocean spray to be an issue, but it never bothered me. That said, I'd still recommend bringing goggles, you may appreciate having them depending on the conditions. I also saw quite a few reviews mentioning the smell of the wetsuits. Honestly, ours weren't bad at all. We wore them on the ride over to Catalina, and on the return trip they weren't required. If you do wear one, I'd recommend leaving the top half down around your waist when you're not in the water. It gives you a little extra padding on the seat while still keeping you comfortable. The ride to Catalina was smooth, and we were able to really open the skis up and enjoy the speed. The ride back was a little choppier, making it more technical to navigate, but it was still an absolute blast. The jet skis are also surprisingly practical. There are two storage compartments: one large enough to hold two or three full-size backpacks, and a second waterproof compartment that's perfect for your phone, chapstick, wallet, or other small essentials while keeping everything easily accessible. We made three scenic stops on the way to Catalina, which gave everyone a chance to rest, take photos, and enjoy the views. The highlight of the trip, though, was the wildlife. We rode alongside a massive pod of dolphins, and it was one of the most breathtaking experiences I've ever had. Being out in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by dolphins in their natural habitat, is something I'll never forget. We also saw seals, which made the experience even more special. I can't recommend this adventure enough. It's more than just a jet ski ride, it's a true ocean adventure and an experience I'll remember for the rest of my life. If you're considering it, book it. You won't regret it.

It's a great adventurous experience just you wait and see, believe me. I'm gonna come out and say it, I'm afraid of heights but I do these activities to conquer that fear. So for me it was an amazing experience. Booking is easy and you can choose a picture option if you like. The crew members are chill and they give clear cut instructions on what to expect. Their playlist adds to the experience making it fun and a lot more enjoyable, if you like Reggae. I'm inserting this emoji =P. LoL. My only problem was the picture package and I didn't feel it was worth the price. If I were to do it again I would definitely bring another person to take video and pictures. It's also kinda hard to download the pictures if you don't have a Zip Drive? I thought those did not exist anymore. And that's my take on this memorable adventure, Peace.

Thankfully I didn't book for the other family member who also reserved a jetski. After booking I read the Yelp reviews so I started to call them 2 days before to make sure they were going to show up. They have a 48 hour cancel policy so I just missed it but I don't know if it would have made any difference. No one answered the phone number listed 562 273 2723 and after many messages no one had the courtesy to call me back and let me know THEY WEREN'T GOING TO SHOW UP! My friend was from Japan and really looked forward to it. We drove from Santa Monica and arrived 35 Minutes early and stayed 30 minutes after our reservation time. I'm going to have to contact my bank tomorrow and try to get my payment back. Don't try to save money just go to LONG BEACH WATER SPORTS OR BEACH CITY WATER SPORTS. They were there with extra Jet Ski's and offered to let me rent them out but I needed to wait so unfortunately after waiting for an hour we left. They also said this was common with Big Wave Inn so believe all the negative reviews that are being written about this issue.

Jetski Fishing the Pacific Ocean...heaven indeed! Definitely booking another trip soon!…read more The booking process was a breeze and the marina was conveniently accessible from the parking lot at the Hotel Maya. We were quickly checked in (make sure you arrive early), suited with our gear, and briefed on the plan for the day. Renting gear from Jetski Fishing was perfect because we didn't have to haul extra stuff to/from the parking lot. Our guide was very knowledgeable about fishing locations and provided great guidance throughout the trip. We hooked some keeper sand bass within the first hour. After 15 minutes or so of inactivity, our guide had us start up the jetskis and we rode at 40 - 50 mph to our next location (you don't have to go that fast, but when in Rome...). Our group fished around a couple of spots at the second location, but the catches had to be released due to species restrictions. We then bolted to our last fishing location where I hooked on to a thresher that snapped my line. And just like that - our trip went way too fast! Some recommendations: - Read the info email from Jetski Fishing after you confirm your trip (everything you need to know is in it) - Bring sunglasses (because the future's bright), sunblock, snacks, and drinks - Bring a fully charged phone, connect to the Bluetooth speakers, and play some tunes (fellow AT&T users: I was at one service bar most of the trip, so I wasn't able to stream itunes or Pandora) - There is plenty of storage space for a backpack, jacket, and small soft cooler - Take advantage of the 'filet your catch' option - Don't forget your GoPro (the views and marine life are incredible) Catch some 'Fresh Ones' and tip your guide!
