This was such an exciting and amusing activity for anyone! You could go here for a date, with friends, even with family. There were multiple paths that you could explore (see map). The kayaking itself was such a workout that I personally enjoyed. (I barely paddled , my sister did the work) Our arms were definitely toned after almost 2 hours of kayaking. We went during the summer so we were able to see the moon jellies that were swimming there for the season. Staff were all so friendly & helpful with guiding us as to where to go. Only $14 to kayak. $35 to do paddle boarding, although that includes the whole instructor teaching shabang thing PLUS a certificate! All succeeding visits would be $10, per that staff member I spoke with . Might try that next time!

Best place to renew kayaks/SUP boards. Easy check in and you pay for the first hour then by time after (not full hour just by minutes) which is a super good deal. Rental for kayaks was $16/hourly per person June 2025. Simple and efficient the best!

This is my second time here...Great place for some kayaks, solo or group, beginner to expert. Friends want to checkout so here we go again. Great neighborhood to do this.

We had such a fun time with a lot of arm exercise! They charge $14/ hr. After the first hour, they charge by the minute if under an hour so you don't have to worry about going a whole hour more. We spent 3 hrs. on the water. We're beginners and it took us a little bit to get in tandem with each other. We went to see the jellies that don't sting and you can touch them. They show you where to find them on the map. Afterwards, we kayaked the Naples Canal. On 4th of July, bring big squirt guns for the water fight and prepare to get wet!

My friend and I came here on a Thursday morning. We rented a two-person kayak and set out to see the canals. We were able to lock up our bags at the desk and leave our shoes in a cubby, which was much appreciated. There wasn't too much information provided (other than the mandatory safety video to watch before you get in the boat), but the staff member was nice. And only $12/hour, too!

I had such a great time! It was my first time and my arms were killing afterwards but would absolutely do it again. The price is really the best I have seen. A lot of other places are overpriced. It was jelly fish season when we went but I couldn't make it out that far to see it but still cool, I was able to see other little swimming critters so loved that. Also All the people working were really nice. Will be back

ALL OF MY CREDIT CARDS WERE STOLEN! Kayaked here a week ago, 9/11/25. While we were kayaking someone unlocked the trunk of our car, took out my purse and stole my credit cards! Filed a police report immediately! Ironically it is the policy of this establishment to either leave your ID or keys with them while you are kayaking. Not hard to see what happened here.

I went July 1st and saw So many moon jellies, it was a lot of fun to see them in a natural habitat.

Great customer service! The people working here are really chill. Two people ran over to help a person nearby when she fainted. This was our second time here and renting a paddle board is very easy and straight forward. You can sign up for their speed card and have free training sessions/tune ups. The area to paddle board is nice to. You can go around mother's Beach and naples

The trip there takes about an hour and a half and was quite pleasant since it was an extremely hot day in LA. No wetsuit was needed, but we did take the ones they offered with in case we needed it during the trip. - this is a high impact sport. We definitely didn't realize it until we were on the water, but even though the water was relatively calm on the way there, it's a workout holding on to the jetskis as the bounce pretty hard over swells. - getting there was a workout, but getting back was HARD. Muscles were tired and bodies were sore from the way there, and getting back was windy and cold and choppy (even though it started as a very hot day in LA). If I had my way, I would do the trip on the way there and take a ferry on the way back but I doubt that's offered. - they have wetsuits which are not mandatory to use but if you don't want to use it when you leave, it is probably a good idea to take anyway and store in your jetski in case you change your mind. I do regret not putting it on for the way back as it was cold (but hot on Catalina). People have mentioned the wetsuits were gross. They seemed fine to me. - others have mentioned to bring gloves, watershoes, goggles. Those would probably all help, but I didn't have any and it didn't affect me that much. Gloves might help the chaffing between thumb and forefinger when holding the jetski which bounces up and down a lot, but I didn't find chaffing too bad. Watershoes would help chaffing on feet due to said bouncing and wearing sandals. Again, I didn't find that too bad. Goggles help if your eyes are sensitive to the salt water constantly splashing in them if it's windy. I wore sunglasses and got a lot of water in my eyes, but I guess my eyes aren't that sensitive to salt water. Overall we're glad we did it as a family as it makes for a great story but once is enough.

That said, this trip was both exhilarating and disappointing at the same time. Similarly to what I've read elsewhere, some small adjustments (like a one way jetski trip to Avalon and come back on the cruiser) may have made this a 4 star experience. My husband surprised me with this for my birthday. I'd looked into it previously and had been interested in doing it but the pricetag is substantial so I hadn't taken the leap. As such, I did not have much time to prepare for this in advance. NOTE TO MEN: DO NOT SURPRISE YOUR PARTNER WITHOUT ANY HEADS UP - NOBODY WANTS THAT UNLESS YOU HAVE THOUGHT OF AND PLANNED FOR EVERY NEED & CONCERN THAT MIGHT ARISE (you probably can't - give your boo some advance notice). This operation is super low direction and guidance. The most important things I heard were: stay between 30-35mph to glide best on water and that this would be an adventure. And an adventure it was... Arrival and check in were easy enough (I cant speak to registration and information sharing before arrival). We were given wetsuits and lifejackets and then we were all loaded up on jetskis (which is when those two nuggets of wisdom were provided). The direction from there is minimal and you really have a lot of slack to get out there and have a blast. That said, holy mother was that intense! The way there wasn't so bad. I flew off the jetski once and one of the two guys with us helped me back to my jetski. He (Zack) was definitely the more communicative of the two (the other was Jet) but it definitely felt like they were there to check off some boxes (get us there and back, take some pics, etc). I was tired and had blisters on my hands by the time we were heading back, the water was choppy - more choppy then I expected. I was so scared. It's intense and I was terrified of being flung back into the (busier) ocean. I wish that there had been some dialogue, some acknowledgment of the challenges of the journey, maybe some tips to get through it the best possible. There wasn't any of that and I spent the whole way back praying I make it home safely. That, coupled with the fact that the harbor and surrounding ocean in Long Beach is so disgustingly dirty, will make this a one and done kinda deal. The blisters on my hands were several skin layers deep and the bruising (pictured) tell the story of just how intense this really was.
