Granted we were here the week of Christmas but we practically had the beach to ourselves. At the "retreat" it's just as they advertised a large gravel parking area designed for a class A camper to pull in (leaving the entrance on the right side of the unit). Pulling a trailer in will mean you back out, it also means that you may have to do a little fancy stuff to get your tow vehicle out from under your unit to run into town. We are about 48' combined and we fit without any issues. It's about 15 minutes to the closest fuel spot but just about 5 minutes to a great restaurant and general store with average selection of supplies.

We took our coffee to the beach early each morning before breakfast and took a stroll on the beach with our dogs every evening (yep, the beach is dog friendly). This site has colorful chairs around a fire pit and mature palms giving it a tropical vibe. Short drive to downtown Port St Joe where we enjoyed live music by Chris Godber at the Sister's Bistro. This was just one of the dining spots we tried, all good. This was the most relaxing vaca I've had in years. We will definitely return.

I know…read moreeverything is going up in price but to charge $45/night which comes out to $42 when minus disc fee and adding processing fee is way too much for this overnight facility with no amenities. They are working on making it look better by mulching beds when in reality they need to work on the RV sites. The sites are getting worse and worse and need maintenance. Most of not all sites need to be leveled, remove palm trees to make it easier for big rigs to get into a few spaces, and several water spigots at sites leaking and making it muddy. There also appears to be quite a few full-timers living there. Host was very nice. Unfortunately, we will not be back. No longer worth the money.

This tent was so beautiful with a fire pit, picnic table, and lights outside. Sadly due to the weather we weren't able to enjoy it. There was lots of privacy as well. Inside the tents there are heating and cooling units so that you can feel comfortable. We really appreciated the outlets because we always have so many different things to charge. We love that the fancy camp is actually located in state parks. There are two state parks to choose from : Topsail Hill State Park or Grayton Beach State Park.

They had real beds, soft sheets, beautiful décor and heater/AC in the tent. There was a fire pit with wood just outside the tent so we sipped Champaign around the campfire and had a blast. The public bathrooms which are just a quick stroll away were very clean. Us girls felt completely safe and comfortable spending the night. It was a total blast and I can't wait to try out their other camp sites over in Grayton Beach and Topsail Preserve soon.

If you value being near the water in a super casual setting, it's for you. I do love the place but there are downsides. It's not exactly inexpensive and you have to pay in full at time of reservation. I have never had to do that at any establishment before. Some of the camp sites are extremely basic...just a spot of dirt and a picnic table. Some have almost no shade. The management doesn't really do anything except have the dumpsterss emptied and clean the bathroom. There's no landscaping or flowers, benches or amenities, no one rakes up all the dead leaves and tree parts. I don't think a real carpenter, painter or electrician has been here for decades. Wooden railings are rotted, stairs and floors on the bathroom and laundry deck are mildewed, decayed and mismatched. It all just kinda looks forlorn and a bit abandoned. Campfire rings are nothing more than scrap chunks of old concrete with no grilles, lending to the abandoned and zero-maintenance atmosphere. The water system was broken when I arrived and now the water tastes like drinking from a swimming pool. The bathroom is extremely primative,many decades old, and worn out although reasonably clean. The laundry machines are new and work effectively. Overall, they are totally relying on the location and seem to be investing almost nothing into the property in terms of facilities maintenance or appearance and upkeep. So....mixed review. The beach and fishing so closeby is wonderful. It isn't, and doesnt want to be, a manicured resort. I get that, and I appreciate it. But with some energy and enthusiasm, and some basic property maintenance, it could be a really great place.

Tent campers prefer not to be lodged between two big rigs.The host moved me to the beautiful spot and I actually received a credit since tent site was cheaper. I am going this weekend, mid November 2025 and Victoria, the same woman who helped enhance my experience did it again, and secured the perfect spot and applied my credit some 8 months later. I have a free, beautiful camp by the river for three days. Manatee visit you below the deck, the wildlife refuge is across the street, the biking is great there, and the kayaking is wonderful! I find the campground to be well managed and always clean and safe especially for older women. The angry woman's comment was due to the fact that she did not follow the posted rules, and I guess it made her angry that she was asked to follow the rules by the responsible camp host.

We have stayed here twice this year and loved both times. This is definitely a no frills park off…read morethe interstate highway so you will hear the interstate. People should remember that before posting a bad review after choosing a park right off an interstate. That being said the further away the site the less likely you will be bothered by the noise. Vonda the owner is a very hard working person and does a wonderful job maintaining the grounds. She has a few pull through sites and three of them open up to a beautiful grassy area with shade trees. We chose one off these. All with full hook up. We are lucky enough to trust that our dogs would behave if off leash for short periods while we were outside with them. We have stayed three nights both times and just enjoyed the simplicity of the park. If you are looking for laundry facilities, showers and a pool this isn't your place.... If it is reasonable prices in a lovely setting is then give it a try.

I haven't been here since the hurricane of 2018 and it was good to see the recovery has progressed nicely knowing that these catastrophes aren't easy to come back from, it says a lot of the people in the area that adversity is only a minor setback for most that call this area home. I don't like arriving at any campground after the sunsets especially when I'm unfamiliar with the set-up but I ensured everything I needed was communicated clearly long before arriving, the staff here was very accommodating and did exactly what we agreed to so life was pretty good even though we arrived after 9:00 PM. You'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful setting, this RV Resort is nestled in a quiet area just outside the town of Carrabelle and directly across from Carrabelle Beach. Anytime you can enjoy a well crafted cocktail at your campsite and can see the gentle waves of the Gulf lap the sand on the mostly secluded beach between sips means you've found a little piece of paradise. The campground is well maintained and all the amenities added to the experience. The sites are clean and spacious even for my forty foot MotorCoach but maneuvering into your spot can be a little challenging. The pads are set ninety degrees to the entrance roads so a watchful eye and a little patience will pay dividends and keep any frustrations at bay. All the neighbors were friendly and helpful and always eager to assist, this is one of the parts of RVing I really love. I was happy to see the electrical, water and sewer hookups were well maintained and the grounds are immaculate. Once the setup is completed the fun can begin and whether it's a serene walk on the beach or a drive into town there are plenty of things to enjoy here, but honestly RVing provides a level of enjoyment that doesn't require a lot of outside interaction, meeting new people and enjoying cocktails with people that share the same interest is always part of the adventure, but sitting in a comfortable chair with the grill going under the shade of the canopy is something that's hard to replicate. It's more about owning all your own time and spending it with people you love to spending that time with. We encountered no issues with the amenities here, the prices are reasonable and I never had to interact with the staff being all the business was conducted online, any trash I put roadside disappeared each morning and it was very quiet and peaceful it's not surprising to me that so many people return here year after year. This area offers a lot of things to do and see but best of all it provides a great atmosphere where doing nothing at all seems to be the most enjoyable times...
