The owner who is 75+ years old gave me exactly the haircut I wanted, in a very short amount of time (with no errors, nicks or gouges). They also offer straight razor shaves! Very fast and efficient. Very skilled with all the tools of the trade. I was in and out with a basic cut and beard trim within 15 minutes. Been going to these old school places all my life and this one is not a let down. Only issue was the price. Very disappointed. I never go to salons because I fully support the "old school" barber shop scene, however, the cut I received today was by far the worst I've ever received...anywhere. We're not talking about a complex cut either...1.5 on the sides 2 on the top faded together. I wasn't happy about the cut and seeing as it took him a total of 3 minutes to cut and trim I expected a standard $15. Nope, $22!!! This Pacifica branch is apparently addition to SF shop, (lady said due to being new, have not set up credit/debit card yet, but are working on, but cash is good for now). Was able to show up with no appointment, Saturday, in & out within 20 min, no complaints on haircut. $25 bucks plus tip. Compared to prices, wait, anywhere else, figure they're bargain. This is an old school barbershop. It's open Tuesday through Saturday; Sunday & Monday being the traditional days off for barbers. Glen (the owner) and Sam are the barbers that are there most often. There may be a third barber. They were closed during the latest COVID-19 restrictions but opened again this week. Unfortunately, they are permanently closing on February 28, 2021 according to the sign on the door. That's a Sunday so maybe Feb. 27 is their last day. The lease is up and I don't think they couldn't come new terms. Sad to see them close; I have been going there exclusively for several years. read more

I have had the pleasure of spending time in this barber shop and it's everything you would want a barber shop to be. I went to this place once before. It was fine. He shaved my head. No problem. No nicks. no cuts. This time he chopped my head up like a head of lettuce. I'll probably have permanent scars. I have been coming here for a couple of years just when I need to clean up the sides with a fade. They are nice but this last time that I went I asked for a 1.5 fade on the sides. Then the next thing I knew he was buzzing the top of my hair! He said "I thought you wanted me to" I asked him to clean it up best he can but I ended up with a horrible haircut. It was long in the back middle of my head shorter then long in the front. I was expecting him to offer it on the house to keep me as a consumer, but he did not. Lost loyalty. this is a pacifica institution. it's been here 55 years, and so has the barber. while that does make the owner upwards of 70, his hands are steady, and his eye is good. he's extremely friendly and can talk your ear off, but not bored you with his chatter. this place looks like what you expect a barbershop from the 50s or 60s. the price is reasonable. he listens to what you want. and he's efficient and friendly. what more could you want from a barbershop? read more

WOW! I hadn't been in here in probably 35 years, LOL My mom used to bring me here when I was a kid. Walked in with no appointment at 9am on a Saturday. Was greeted and treated like I'd been coming there for 20 years. I explained what I wanted and Glen proceeded to be a perfectionist while Frank told stories to everyone else. GREAT atmosphere! I was expecting Glen to pull out a steel rule and measure each one of my hairs for the proper length, that's how meticulous he was being! I don't think I will ever go anywhere else again. Fucking horrible, I go in for a specific beard and fade haircut and he completely butchered both of em, all my hair is uneven, seemed really lazy didn't ask questions just cut "some" hair and called it finished. The guys that run this place extremely friendly, professional, and give a good hair cut for a decent price. Only negatives is I feel that the hair cuts could be cleaner and I walk away with a ton of lose hairs forcing me to take a shower. I brought my son there he had a gift certificate. It took him a while to warm up to the chair. he hates to get his hair cut.
