I had a last min business event come up, needed a barber as my main guy was closed. Tried to call handcrafted at 450pm on a Monday when the shop closed at 6. I asked if they can do a last minute walk in. The guy asked what type of haircut, I said skin fade.. he replied he didn't have time for that. I called the next shop, went 5 mins to Burlingame.. that shop even though they only accept appointments walked me in and I was the last customer after closing. I tipped that shop $100 btw. ** Review is strictly for Drue Mac ** I scheduled an appointment for 12pm with Drue on 8/31/23. He texted me 30 minutes before my haircut appointment that he needs to push my appointment to 12:30 due to a client running late, totally fine. I get to the shop at 12:25 and I see he has another person on the chair so I assume he's going to wrap it up shortly. I don't get to the chair until 1pm even though my appointment was for 12:30 after he had originally pushed out my 12pm appointment. In my head I am wondering why is it taking so long and how am I not on the chair yet. Turns out, the person running late before me brought in a buddy, and it was suppose to be the person running late, then me and then the buddy. He definitely messed up the rotation on who will be next and mind you I was on my lunch so I was short on time - Drue did not even apologies or care that he had messed up the rotation, shrugged it off like it was nothing and cancelled my appointment via Booksy(still got the cut though).. Overall, very disappointing from Drue as it seems customer service isn't what he upholds. He also messed up my cut, cut my top hair as I did not want my top hair length to be cut. Every time you call to see if they have time you get, "Umm, I can't, but someone will be in in half an hour or so, can you call back." Call back and get the same thing. Tried multiple times to get in. Finally get someone who said they can take an appoint for the next day. Made an appointment for noon, arrive a few minutes early and there are two others waiting for their appointments. Their appointment times were well before mine and the barber wasn't even there yet. No way to run a business. What is the point of making appointments if you're not even going to show up! I'm amazements this place stays in business as poorly as they run this place! I was referred to Handcrafted Barber Shop in Millbrae, Ca. by Brothers Barber Shop in Burlingame. I was able to call and make an appointment. That was all great. Upon arrival I was tested for a fever and given a shot of sanitizer. Also very good. Once I sat in the barber chair, I was asked how I would like to have my hair cut. I told Jose just above the ears, leave side burns and showed him how the top is typically cut. As soon as he said OK, he shaved and shaved the back and sides that were so short and not what I asked for. Cut the top of my hair to about an inch long when I asked for 2 1/2 long. Bottom line, I would never go back as it clearly shows that Jose does his own thing and doesn't listen to his customer VERY UNHAPPY!!! read more

You are a Barber who appreciates his clients and in return, the clients come back to appreciate you. That is what I call f*cked up. UPDATE - Eddie got in touch with me and apologized for the mix up and to make it up to me he trimmed my beard on the house.
