Yep, the shop's managers will prepare for you two containers, each holding six samples, your requests, so you're allowed to wrap your tongue around 12 different items. Now, you may not care for all them -- there were a few not for us -- but for the rest we explored and adored the flavors, especially anything blueberry. We found the staff chatty and funny and very helpful as we looked around. The shop is just steps from the Harpoon Brewery, and is well worth your time when you're visiting this area. BTW, we didn't find anything that seemed seriously overpriced, either, not when you consider how tasty these products are whether for you or as gifts.

And DO try the recipes they have online- they are fantastic! I am such a fan of their jams and of their pie filling. Their pie filling is full of fruit and so fresh tasting! Maybe it's because they don't use cornstarch and fillers- or just because of the wonderful fruit they use- but they have the best commercial pie filling I've ever tried! Whether you live in Vermont and want a fun place to visit, or if you shop online, I do not see how anyone could be disappointed with these jams. They are simply delicious! Be adventurous and try some of their more exotic combination- I do not think you will be disappointed.

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!

No other syrup…read morecompares and I always go out of my way to visit anytime I'm anywhere in the greater New England area! Sadly this year I didn't get to visit New England - but lucky for me Sugarbush ships nationwide!! So I tried it out and ordered some of their syrup and my fave cheeses. Ordering online via their website was super easy. I ordered my fave dark variety of their maple syrup and 4 cheeses: horseradish cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, sharp cheddar, and Monterey Jack. Their horseradish cheddar is my absolute fave - a wonderful kick of the spicy horseradish blends so well with their rich cheddar. I really love the jalapeño cheddar too - packed full of flavor with just the right amount of kick - not overwhelming but enough to taste it. The other two were great as well - you can definitely tell their cheeses are made fresh on site - flavors are just next level compared to industrial-manufactured cheeses from the grocery store chains. And the maple syrup is also in a league of its own - nothing mass-manufactured from any grocery chain holds a candle to the rich, complex flavors and velvety texture. The syrups also last quite a long time so I'm able to keep my stocks full yearly! Since I was ordering cheese with a long way to travel, and it was still quite warm in parts of the US, their website suggested adding one of their insulated shipping boxes for an extra fee of $8. I didn't want to risk ruining my cheese so I did and all arrived in excellent condition! They pack it in extra insulated styrofoam with ice packs. So it's definitely worth it imo. Next year I'll be in Maine in October so I'll definitely be planning an extra day or two to pop over to Sugarbush on my way back out haha!! See yall next fall!

We came here because they were the closest spot that sells Cabot cheese since we couldn't get up to the actual Cabot factory. All the reviews talking about the miles of cheese samples were not to be found. They sold some cheeses in the back but it wasn't a very big selection. I also found them to be no different than the Cabot cheese sold in my local grocery store back home in CT. Is that just what Cabot does? Is there nothing special about Cabot when you get it in VT? Cabot signs all over making it know they're an official retailer of Cabot cheese but then no different than a grocery store selection. They have miles of maple syrup to select from but you pretty much just have to blindly choose one since you can't taste any samples. Was really excited about this place but a letdown for sure. May not be any fault of theirs, but I would skip this shop for one that allows samples unless you know what you're buying.

It's both a way to learn about old-fashioned manufacturing techniques and also, a good place to get food. Win-win. Downstairs they make the cheese and customers can watch (that's my understanding, they weren't making cheese when I went) and upstairs is the old equipment for contrast and a small exhibit for additional information. Though the equipment is modern, the process is the same (along with any additional safety/food inspections). It's a great living example of bringing the past to life and promoting making local food as they also use nearby dairy supply and create in house. The cheese is on the more expensive side compared to what you can get in the grocery store, but they had several different Vermont Cheddar flavors. They had samples out, and the smoked cheddar won us over. We also got some beef jerky to pair with it, and the cashier gave us a plate and bamboo knife to eat right outside at a picnic table. I would definitely recommend a metal knife in the situation to get through the wax covering, but the wax is nothing a little sawing can't break through. The cheese is fresh and creamy with that great layer of smoky flavor. It's an upscale cheese and very flavorful. If I was able to take more to go, I would love to try a lot more of the flavors. I'm not cheese expert, but if you want that authentic Vermont cheddar, it doesn't get more real and delicious than this.

The sweetest souls work here and the animal feeding area/petting zoo is incredible! When you arrive at Taylor Farms, you step into the cute little country store stationed at the beginning of the farm. I stumbled upon the "feed our animals" station near the store exit. You can buy the farm animals food and feed them yourself! The store associate welcomed us to go see the animals even if we didn't buy any food for them. You could tell she really loved them. We bought a variety pack for the animals which consisted of carrots, an apple, a bag of homemade cheeseits, and chicken feed (corn meal?). My daughter had a ball feeding the donkey, cows, chickens and cat! We had a ball watching her experience new things and support a local farm! We hope to come back someday soon!
