    Original strap length

Fantastic service and super easy to work with! I was able to start a project through Yelp to get real time responses/quotes. They determined they needed to see my bag in person (which I preferred) and when I went in they were extremely helpful and solved my strap issue right away. Maybe took 5 minutes to discuss, drop-off my purse, and pay. I picked it up within two days which was great too! I brought my purse in with a long strap that I wanted shortened in order to wear the bag as a shoulder bag without having so much of the leftover strap hanging out. They were not only able to shorten the strap but also added extra holes to change the length if I wanted it even shorter. They also sealed off where they cut the strap so it won't fray. I'm obsessed with my bag now!

This shoe, purse and luggage repair shop located in Davie is a family owned business. I brought my purse in because the strap hardware was not connected. He repaired by going through the lining and when I picked it up two days later it looked like a new purse after he cleaned and shined it as well. The cost was $20.

It's never fun to try on a pair of boots just before a vaca to find a heel tip is broken. Nearly in a panic, I looked up local repairs shops and since this one had great reviews, I drove over with my boots not knowing what to expect. WOW! I got superior assistance with professional work and couldn't be happier! I will absolutely do business here in the future and HIGHLY recommend this location. Thank you so much!

Repaired on the strap to my MK purse

I needed my leather MK bag handle sewn back on and didn't want to donate the bag since I love it so much. Also, trying to be more conscious about how much is thrown away these days. I did a quick Yelp search for a few repair shops. There aren't many shoe/leather repair places around anymore so I called the few nearby to get some pricing and decided to go with Cobbler's West. I dropped my purse off on a Monday after work with AJ. He quoted me $15 to repair the handle and re-sew the other handle just in case. Amazing price! He said it would be ready by Thursday. When I came by on Thursday after work to pick-up my bag (assuming they'd be open the same hours during the week day) they were already closed. I later found out that they close 30 minutes early on Tues/Thurs which is sort of odd. I called the next day (Friday) to confirm their hours for Saturday and also confirmed that my bag was ready for pick up. When I showed up Saturday and spoke with John - he said that my bag wasn't ready and that he was waiting for me to come by so he could ask me something about the re-sew on the handles. He said it would only take 45 minutes to an hour to complete the repair but I was kind of irritated that they hadn't called before then to confirm this and that I was previously told my bag was ready to pick up when I called the day before. I'm very happy with how the repair came out but still a bit disappointed that I had to come back so many times, especially to find that my bag wasn't ready almost a week later. I think they need to work on communicating better with their customers. I definitely know the right questions to ask now that I've been through this experience. They otherwise did a great job and I saw a few different people dropping off their shoes to be repaired as well. Will definitely be using them in the future and hope that the communication is much better next time.

    Halo R.

My first experience here and definitely won't be my last! So helpful and friendly, not to mention the amazing job done on my high heels.

Recently after moving, I had to find a new shoe repair place in my area. So fortunate to have found this cobbler down the street from work. I came during my break and the cobbler was professional and personable! He offered to take care of my tips for $10 cash versus $12.95 with a credit card. Makes sense when you cut out merchant services from the transaction! I waited for less than 5 minutes as I looked over all of the wonderful merchandise they also sell; including handbags, plantar and heel pads, and other goodies. This cobbler does it all--pretty much!! The place smells terrific too. I could smell the leather through my six surgical masks. I look forward to giving them more business soon!

Got my suede shoes cleaned here for a decent price and they fixed a pair of heels that were too small. Great service.

She seemed more concerned with getting me out the store quickly than listening to the particular issues that I needed resolved. But I stayed until everything was written down. I was told items would be complete by Saturday. I would be out of town and told her, "that's fine but I won't pick up until Monday at the earliest." The following Monday, I take a lunch break to run errands and pick up shoes. Shoes are all over the place? I had given her 3 pairs of heels. But she had to hunt them down. No clue why they weren't together? I grab the items and rush back to work. That is where I noticed that most of the work that I asked wasn't done. I return and point them out. (I'm told they will be ready in another 3 days :-/!) When I go to pick up this time I deal with a some what more personal man. This time I look over the items in store and notice that there is still some work incomplete. He debates this with me - but that task was written on the receipt that was already paid and on the tape on the shoe! Two of the social heels look decent. Thankfully in time for graduation. The one pair of salsa dance shoes looks like a bad glue job. At this point I consider those shoes a safety hazard. The heel feels like it could come off in one quick turn. When deciding on repairing a shoe verses replacing it, you think about cost, quality, and time. This place was below average in all three areas. I wish there was at least a listed price list for repairs.

But when I finally brought the coat home after my 5th time there in 2 weeks, I found another button broken. At this time, I've had it! I'm just gonna resolve this myself. I'm sure after reading this review, the owner would say why didn't I bring it back. I'm sure had I brought it back they would tell me "you took it out, it's not our responsibility anymore..." And plus after dealing with them for over 2 weeks, I just don't want to anymore. I have 3 kids under 5 and work a full time job....no time to go back and forth. (TIP: good customer service would've offer to drop it off.....) On top of that, owner was rude and patronizing ...worker was rude---she actually SNATCHED my clothes from me when I wanted to use a Yelp coupon (I had the clothes in my hand). Said I didn't show it to them when I dropped off clothes. So she won't take coupon-that I'd have to pay. I told her to call the owner. She did. Owner took coupon. SO NOT COMING BACK AND DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO ELSEWHERE.
