This was my first time in Lodi and I couldn't imagine a better way to get around. Getting picked up and dropped off from our hotel was great. They even gave us some snacks. We did the three winery package and it was a lot of fun. And even better my group was the only one on the tour that day so it was like having a private party bus! We had an amazing day with Coche Vino Wine Tours this past weekend and honestly, I'm still shocked at what a screamin' deal this is. At $160 per person, we got a private tour that included transportation (hotel pick-up / drop-off), four winery stops with all tasting fees covered, charcuterie boxes, and a catered lunch. Our driver Nicole was fantastic! She was fun, engaging, and made the whole day feel like we were touring with a friend. Getting our own private 18-passenger bus for just the three of us was the cherry on top! Jesse met us at our 3rd winery with lunch from Papapavlo's... it was so good, and the carbs were appreciated after two winery stops. Nicole had maps on the bus, and I was so excited to discover how many Lodi wineries are dog-friendly -- denoted by paw prints on the map legend. Now that I know Coche Vino will happily accommodate my doggo on the bus, I am one thousand percent scheduling another tour to bring him along! I would have appreciated a little more communication around the itinerary ahead of our tour. We were asked about our wine preferences, but we didn't receive any winery suggestions and our confirmed itinerary didn't arrive until 6pm the night before our tour. As a Type A planner, it would have done me well to collaborate a bit more on the perfect day together. That said, where they took us was spot-on (Lucas, Michael David, m2, and Heritage Oak) and now I have some baseline knowledge of the Lodi Appellation to proactively make suggestions for the next tour. Coche Vino Wine Tours is such a great company! My friend and I booked a wine tour back in November 2021 for $130 per person. First off, we were picked up individually at our homes. It was super convenient. I met Jesse, who was our tour guide for the day. We stopped at a total of three wineries: 1) Michael-David Winery 2) Oak Farm Vineyards 3) Peltier Winery Jesse also ordered our lunch from the Towne Corner Café and Market at Wine & Roses. I selected the French Dip sandwich with French fries. The entire meal was so flavorful and tasty. Finally, the inside of the bus was extremely spacious. This is the review you need to read. Maggie, our driver, and one of the owners, was nice. She picked us up and dropped us off at all of wineries in a timely manner. She was a good conversationalist and her demeanor was fine. But, let's get real. This company Is an absolute ripoff. Like, beyond ripoff. We had 4 girls. We all paid $167/each after taxes and processing fees. Let me explain to you what we got for this... To start, don't think you're getting picked up on the "party bus." She picked us up in a Honda Pilot. We were never told this was a part of the package. During the tour she was doing what she called "hop scotching." So she'd drop us off then go get another couple to drop them off. This occurred all day. One of my gfs is a newer mama and she had to take her bag of pumps with her at every winery due to this. Inconvenient to say the least. Maggie made us a super cute charcuterie box. We weren't expecting that! Nice little bonus. We stopped at Durst winery first. Beautiful grounds, awesome wine. $20/tasting. Maggie paid for it (included in our package). We then made our way to Jeremy wine, again, great place. $10/tasting. From here we went to Macchia where they had some live music. The tasting at macchia was $10, plus they charged another $10/person for the "music." Here, Maggie laid out a nice lunch for us from pappapavlos. Absolutely delicious! However, we did have to share with the "party bus" Group that was tagging along a few places with us. So, We all got 1 plate of food. Fine, it's lunch, just a little odd that they ordered food for 12-14 people and didn't seem like enough for everyone. Lastly, we went to calivirgin winery. Beautiful place! 3 of us got the $15/tasting and one just ordered a $6 sangria. So, let's do some math together... 1st winery cost $80 + 2nd winery $40 + 3rd winery $80 + 4th winery $51 + charcuterie board approximately $25 + lunch approximately $100 (being generous here) + gas approximately $40 (remember honda pilot) = $416.00 $667.50 - $416.00 = $251.50 Throughout the trip Maggie kept talking about gratuity. We are all big tippers, but, sorry, getting charged this much for a Honda Pilot tour was not in the cards for us. Also, there were 2 conversations we overheard, one in particular, that really rubbed us the wrong way. Something along the lines of, Maggie ans Jesse (owners) use their "free tastings" for people they take on tours (like maybe they're members), but they obviously get paid by us for them so they're "double dipping." The manager at the winery was very upset. She continued to get loud and say, "but you're running a BUSINESS, you HAVE to pay for these tastings." So, all in all, they may have even made more from us. I mean, good on them, they're making bank running people around a few wineries. On the way home she told us about their "$75 package" that includes lunch and charcuterie board still, just no tastings... so, in all actuality we could have done that, picked 4 wineries with $10 tastings and got away with $115 vs $150. Be prepared for all of the above. Again, Maggie was nice... but be prepared to pay way more than what this is worth. read more

They company made all our wine tasting reservations and handled the logistics. We started at Bokisch Winery, where we were given a large charcuterie tray as well as many delicious Spanish wine samples (our personal favorite). From there, Nicole drove us to Sorelle Winery, where we had more amazing wine and were served a delicious lunch of chicken, salad, pasta, and fresh baked bread. After Sorelle, Nicole told us she wanted to change our tour a little based off of our taste and took us to Klinker Brick Winery, where we had another charcuterie board and more wonderful wine. I definitely would not recommend this company. They were just very unprofessional an hour 30 mins late. He had ran a stop sign right when we left the pick up point and few in Lodi. It is simple straight drive down the 99. He would exit off the freeway a few times not knowing where to go. On top this his gas light came on And fuel on our time with passengers/ pregnant ladies on board. As he only put in 15 bucks in gas! Which knowing that this is a violation of DMV rights which is prohibited! As it states on DMV handbook! 4.5 - Prohibited Practices Avoid fueling your bus with riders on board unless absolutely necessary. Never refuel in a closed building with riders on board. Do not talk with riders, or engage in any other distracting activity, while driving. As he continuous to turned around to stare at the girls causing the bus to swerve and in his WIFE BEATER/Tanktop and making comments that girls are distracting him. one of the passenger had to stay behind because he over heated due to non-working AC! We also had to fuel up the second time on the way home. At the end of tour he went into our personal ice-chest trying to take the wine bottles that was included in the tour. He was relying on his tip for gas money to make it home. read more

We had exactly the type of day we were hoping for. Highly Recommended. My wife and I booked Coche Vino for our anniversary (first one away from the kids so we had one shot to make a good day.) We booked Coche Vino and they rose to the occasion. I was a bit worried about the 'no refund after 48 hours of booking' policy, but this made sense as they begin planning our day and booking our tastings for us soon after we book. It was so nice to meet personable people who knew the area, would introduce us by name to the owners of the wineries (and their dogs), and put so much effort into making our day exactly what we needed. This was my second booking with Coche Vino. The first was in 2021 and was FIRE, the latest in 2024 was ICE. This will be my last booking. For the 2021 booking we got picked up in Oakley and were treated to a curated multi stop vine tour with a fun, personal, and professional guide. (Unfortunately I learned she is no longer with the company...too bad for Coche Vino.). We left a raving review and shared our experience on social media. For 2024 I booked the tour 3 months in advance and had a conversation with Jesse. We went over the pickup location and the details of the trip. 2 days before the event I received a text from Jesse stating Oakley was outside of their pickup area and asked if we could drive ourselves to Lodi. The whole point of using Coche Vino is to avoid drinking and driving so that made absolutely zero sense as we would have to drive back from Lodi after drinking. I told Jesse that we had been picked up in Oakley before and that his site doesn't list a maximum range, not to mention the fact that this issue should have been raised at the time of booking, not 2 days before the event. Jesse agreed to pick us up then complained about the drive and paying a $7 bridge toll. IMO he should have kept that to himself as it soured me on the impending experience. I still had hopes for a fun birthday, but in hindsight I should have cancelled and asked for a refund for my group. We were picked up on time by Rick who was personable, however Rick took us on THE LONGEST route possible to avoid paying that $7 bridge toll, which got us to the first location late. Jesse was calling Rick questioning why we weren't there yet. Rick handed us over the Jesse, Sara, and Sara's mom (who was in training). The experience went down hill from them. Jesse lacks the interpersonal skills to be in the hospitality industry. The interactions were inauthentic and robotic. It seemed as though the venues weren't expecting us and we were treated like walk ins, whereas our previous trip we were treated like royalty. At our second location we had to actually provide our credit card because Jesse and crew left and said they would pay when they got back. They did pay, but it didn't seem right "fronting" payment at the venue for a tasting that had already been paid for to Coche Vino. Rick told us he would be driving us home, but it turned out Jesse and Sara drove us home. I wanted to tip Rick, but I was stuck with Jesse and Sara, I didn't want to tip them, but I felt obligated. I hope it made it to Rick, but I doubt it. There was a lot more small things that were troubling, you add it all up and it totals a bad experience. I cannot recommend the 2024 Coche Vino. read more

I booked a tour with this company and unfortunately had to cancel due to covid exposure and the manager would not give me a refund. Her cancellation policy on the website and on my receipt said full refund within so many hours of the start of the tour. I pointed this out and she argued. We corresponded back and forth for several days. She eventually changed the cancellation policy to say refund within so many hours of booking the tour instead of the start of the tour. So it was quite a misunderstanding. I canceled 8 days in advance, and she did not refund me my money. Very bad business practices, would not recommend. read more

My husband and I took a tour on Coche Vino Wine Tours today and we had a blast. The bus picks you and drops you off at your house. The tour guide welcomed us on the bus and gave us each a menu and pen so we could order what we wanted to have for lunch. The menu was for "Wine and Roses". The driver had music playing but low enough so you could have a conversation with other people on the bus without yelling. The drive drove very carefully and followed all traffic laws. The air conditioner was perfect. The tour guide was very interactive. She explained where we were going today. She would tell us about each Vineyard we were going to and information about downtown Lodi. She told us the history of some of the vineyards. It was neat to learn about how many vineyards are in Lodi as well as information about Lodi. The first place we went to was Peltier Vineyard. She explained the vineyard to us on the way to the vineyard. We had a tasting at Peltier Vineyard. The tour guide and driver did not rush us with the tasting. After the tasting at the first vineyard, the bus went to "Wine and Roses" to pick up our lunch. The second vineyard we went to was Jessies Grove. The tour guide explained this Vineyard was the 8thone in Lodi. We ate our lunch here and had a tasting. After we were though with lunch and the tasting, the bus drove up to Michael David Vineyard. We had a tasting there. After the tasting, we toured the Michael David's outside area. We got back on the bus after touring the outside area, and the bus took us to downtown Lodi. The Tour guide explained some of the shops in Lodi that we were passing. When they dropped us off, the tour guide and the driver thanked us. This was very worth the $130 + tax and processing fee. This price gets you tasting at 3 vineyards and lunch. I really like the fact that even though Coche Vino Wine Tours is just starting out, they support local businesses. Lunch will only be from Lodi Restaurants. I highly recommend Coche Vino Wine Tours. This is a safe way to get to the vineyards because nobody is drinking and driving. Would rate this business a ZERO star. The overall wineries & breweries were great but the bus driver Jessie was VERY unprofessional. To start of, we were told the driver was picking us up at 10:30 am, Jessie the driver didn't arrive till an hour or so later. Then not even 2mins into the bus ride, he ran a stop sign almost causing a collision, on top of all that he drove like a maniac on the freeway & let's not mention he used OUR time to pump gas. That bus should of been fueled and ready to go before pick up. Secondly, we weren't even provided all the items that was stated we were going to receive for our lunch. During our second location a few friends stayed back due to the fact that they were overly intoxicated, which was fine. But as we approached our last location, 2 drink tickets were given to each person & as he was handing them out, he obviously had an extra 6 because of the others who stayed back. We kindly asked him for those extra tickets bc rightfully we paid for it, he then proceeds to rudely assume we were asking him to get us our drinks. Those words never came out our mouth. In addition, Jessie has wandering eyes, so ladies watch out. He made a sly comment to one of the girls saying "I've noticed you don't have a wedding ring on now but you did earlier". Like why is that any of your business? Lastly, as we arrived home, Jessie went out of his way to dig in our personal cooler to retrieve the complimentary wine that was given to us. This business overall was a red flag. The bus driver, rude. The bus, HOT!! Ac blew nothing but regular air and mind you it was over 100 degrees and there was over 15 heads. After everything had went down, trip was over, Jessie goes out of his way some more to reach out to us to tell us not to book with them ever again.
