We had a very pleasurable visit to this winery and tasting room. A bit remote it is worth the time to visit. The grounds, buildings and tasting room are beautiful, a sophisticated rustic cabin appeal with manicured landscaping and a craftsman style main building. We stood at the main tasting bar to try four wines. The Chardonnay and especially fhe old vine Zinfandel stood out as excellent to us and we ended up getting some bottles. As there weren't many folks doing a tasting on a weekday we got VIP treatment and had a deljghtful conversation, and education about the wines, from the person pouring for us. We really enjoyed our stay and the surroundings made it extra nice. Compared to the hype of Napa and Sonoma this winery and others in the Lodi area are down to earth and affordable in comparison, especially for tastings. This place very much is worth a visit. Sitting outside to sip a bottle must be delightful too. read more

The place was beautiful our tour guide was amazing Travan not sure if this is the correct spelling but he was knowledgeable about the place he was super nice to all of us. Treated us with respect and kindness the whole time we were there, this would be our first time going there. But the two ladies behind the bar !wow! talk about purposely making you feel unwelcome, giving us side eyes... like if they were above us. I didn't like or appreciate that kind of attitude towards ANYONE this is a business there are certain protocols that need to be followed, regardless. We weren't being disrespectful or loud! In my family We are taught very early on to be very RESPECTFUL. Anyways, I put my feelings aside and I didn't let the two females ruin MY day. We had a wonderful time, Because we chose to dust off the bad vibes. And make it a memorable day with my sisters and friends. I probably will be going somewhere else, the next time I want to do wine tasting again. IMPROVE; I would say maybe a lesson in bedside manners for the 2 ladies behind the counter. My friend and I enjoy exploring new wineries in the area, and this one came recommended by a fellow wine taster we met at Bokisch. He mentioned the grounds were nice, the staff was decent, and the wines could be hit or miss, so we decided to give it a try. The property itself is decent, with a mix of indoor standing tables and outdoor seating. There are smaller seating areas under trees and near a small fountain, which could make for a relaxing setting. However, during our visit, the atmosphere felt more crowded and noisy than expected, and the seating; particularly the backless bar stools and old barrel style chairs, wasn't especially comfortable if you plan on hanging out for a while. Service was probably the biggest issue for us. As first-time visitors, there wasn't much effort to make us feel welcome or guide us through the menu. When we asked if they had sparkling wine, we were told yes, but it turned out they were referring to spritzers made with sparkling water. After clarifying, there wasn't much follow-up or attempt to help us find something closer to what we were actually looking for, which felt a bit dismissive. We ended up ordering a bottle of Albariño to drink on the patio. It was okay, but unfortunately not something we'd go back for. It tasted noticeably bitter and lacked the brighter fruit notes typically associated with that varietal, making it less enjoyable than we had hoped for. Between the underwhelming service, the wine not really landing for us, and the overall atmosphere, we chose to leave early and head to another winery. read more

Harney Lane Vineyards is just one of the many family wineries in Lodi. My big lil sis brought me here as well because she likes a couple of their Pinot Noirs and Zins. I enjoyed the wine flavors here a bit better. I'm more for the lighter white wine selections these days. They gave me good options. The outdoor garden area with patio seating is pleasant. Their venue has a more modern and clean feel. It seems pretty relaxing. Some of the cutest pumpkins and gourds were displayed at the entranceway. The expanse of the vineyard itself is amazing in the forefront of blue skies and sunlight. Lots of parking is available on their gravel lot. What I do know, cuz of my sis, is that they're a dog-friendly establishment. (Please remember to bring appropriate snacks and drinks for the pups.) read more

While I was not able to do a tasting today, I wanted to give a little shoutout/ some appreciation to the staff I encountered today Sat 5/2. I was unaware that this was a 21+ only winery and brought my new baby in, I was met with kindness and recommendations as to where my friends and I could go that was family friendly. One of our favorite wineries in Lodi. We walked in around Saturday 3:30pm and it wasn't too busy for Memorial Day Weekend. If you buy wine bottle, you can sit outside where the club members sit. Or else you just stand at the tasting room counter. The lady who helped pour our wines was so nice. It was a more personable experience. Our lady explained the wines and helped us with finding wineries that we need to try. Now we know we don't like family friendly wineries. It's just too busy and the staff just pours the wines and leave. Tasting fee: classic flight and red flight are both $20. It was nice that our lady let us go off menu for the ones that overlap in the flights. The reds have some tannins, but not terrible. There's both fruity and earthy reds. Some whites were better than others. It's a good variety. There's also no tip button on the checkout iPad so it doesn't create pressure on customers. You only need to buy 1 bottle of wine to waive the fee. We came here after attending the wine club party at another winery that we are members of. We had to pick up my husband's friend's wines for her. So we decided to do a little wine tasting so we can try out their wines. It is on Harney Lane....how convenient lol It's a very nice winery with lots of places to sit and enjoy the outdoor scenery. Absolutely beautiful estate. It's perfect place to chill with a group setting. They have very good wines. Good enough for us to buy one of their best wines. My husband and I are members of several wineries, but Harney Lane is our absolute favorite. Why? In addition to the wines being amazing, we love the atmosphere, the fact that we can bring our dog, being able to bring our own snacks that meet our diet needs, the seating choices, and the service. We love their red wines, especially Grace and Lizzy James Old Vine Zin. One aspect we thoroughly treasure is being able to enjoy wine and conversation in an adults only setting. read more

We met up with a friend out of town for a birthday celebration bringing our son along. Due to a lot of other Lodi wineries being very Inclusive of children/babies. We had already sat down and put out our food and were kicked out due to having our child. If you have kids/babies don't bring here. Enjoyed an amazing wine & cheese pairing this afternoon in their lovely garden. The staff is very knowledgeable & friendly. The tasting began with the whites: the Vin Rosa started the tasting and such a pleasant and welcome surprise. The Chardonnay was as good as expected. The Winery has a fine eye for detail and the cheeses selected with each wine was excellent. Next was the old vine Zinfandel and a Cabernet Sauvignon which were excellent. Of course in Lodi the old vine Zin is tops, and this one didn't disappoint. Just one last thing- the Vin Rosa was amazing and one of the best ever. A must try. Truly a pleasant way to spend a couple hours and support a local business. read more

Harney Lane Winery is located on the southeast side of the Lodi Appellation. A friend, who happens to be a member here, hosted a group of us for tasting. We sat outside on the patio area next to the tasting room and a waitress brought us wine menus and a carafe of water with cups on the side. I started with the 2021 Albariño, which was green apple crisp and refreshing and it's finish was reminiscent of honeydew melon. I also tasted their Chardonnay, which was smooth and buttery. I ended up staying with the Chardonnay and I ordered a full glass and bought a bottle to go. The grounds at Harney Lane are beautifully landscaped, and provided a peaceful serene surrounding perfect for tasting wine and having great conversations. The flowers on the salvia next to our table were attractive to hummingbirds as I saw at least 3 hummingbirds while sitting outside. read more

We didn't have this winery on our list but glad we were able to go here!! My Sister had bought me 3 bottles for my birthday a couple years ago and had them shipped to me, they were wonderful and wrapped so well with a beautiful personalized card! We happened to see the name on a sign and excited to visit! Their winery is gorgeous with vines as far as you can see and beautiful gardens with intimate seating areas and a big fire pit with wine barrel chairs. I'd love to just sit there with a glass of wine and enjoy the gardens but we came to taste and had an agenda so went inside. The staff are super friendly here and we were able to taste as walk-ins as they weren't too busy and had several people to pour. The atmosphere is great inside and the wines did not disappoint! We enjoyed every taste and as most wineries here our fees were waived with bottles purchased. Great gift shop area and some pictures of the winery founders and history which was very interesting. My girlfriend and I visited Harney Lane Winery for our 10 year anniversary and we had so much fun! this is probably our second or third time visiting and each time we enjoy and of course love the wine. The staff are very attentive and kind. The winery grounds itself is absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. I feel very relaxed and the atmosphere is very calming. Many places you can sit and enjoy your tasting. Lastly, they are dog friendly which is great since we take our 4 legged baby everywhere with us and he was greeted with treats. We got there a little late, an hour before closing and we didn't feel rushed at all. We look forward to going back for sure. read more

We arrived on a Saturday, just when they opened. It was just me and my friend. We needed a wine tasting place close by that we could do without having to drive 3 hours to Napa. I would of never thought Lodi would have decent wineries, but Boy! Was I wrong! This place was gorgeous, serene, peaceful! They had beautiful grounds here, lots of trees and shading. Tables were set up outside for wine tasting. We had 5 tasting and our favorites were their white wines. We picked up two bottles each from their popular selections! The only minor thing was that they didn't have any little breadsticks to munch on between each tasting. They had ice cold lemon water avaliable, which helped cause it was a warm day and it was refreshing! We drove by a few other wineries in Lodi, definitely going to try new spots! read more

The wine was good. The venue is beautiful. The service, however, was sub par. The tasting room was pretty empty; there were about 3 or 4 more parties aside from ours with 3 people working. We decided to sit outside. The people working at the bar were friendly but would not serve us outside; we'd have to come in and get our own tastings. I understand that when a place is busy, it'll be difficult to serve people outside. When it's slow, and there are multiple people working, the service could be be done at the table. I ended up buying three bottles: the dry rose, the old vine Zinfandel, and the Tempranillo. All of them were really good! read more

My very first Lodi winery and it was wonderful!!! Suzanne is an amazing hostess. She's from Sonoma and knows her wines. We're very particular about what we drink and love reds so we went for the red flight. Our absolute favorite was the Tempranillo!!! So we bought TWO!!! The setting is very, NOT LODI-ish. Quite surprising. It felt like a little get-away break from the Sonoma hustle/bustle. No rushing. No crowds. No stress. We could totally appreciate the trees (note the pic with the cork oak tree) and the pit. Planning a tasting for a large group of 20-somethings. I use to belong to about 20 wine clubs the last couple years I've dropped them all but this one. First and what's most important in a winery is great wine. Next the staff is awesome. The ambience is great. Not as opulent as some of the Sonoma/Napa/ Paso Robles tasting rooms but beautiful grounds to enjoy a fabulous glass of their wine. But top of my list is the Family , my beautiful friend Kathy the matriarch, her daughter Jorja, and always smiling son-in law Kyle make you feel like you are part of their family. Even when medical issues made me quit drinking wine for a while I kept my membership and gifted wine to friends. This will always be a keeper for me. read more
