I went here about an hour before close, and they were friendly and kind! The food was so good, I was a little bit worried because I haven't seen too many reviews about the chicken, but I wanted to try it because it was grilled chicken and I love focaccia bread and to say the least it was wonderful!! I would skip the Aperol spritz here and try something else! Not pictured stuffed chicken, it was also so delicious.

I had lunch here and had a wine tasting and it was so good! The food was good but the wine was amazing! It was really cool too seeing all the artwork on the walls. It gave it a very medieval feel. I would definitely go back here even if it was only for a tasting!

Food, ambiance, service top notch. Loved everything about this spot. We had lunch and and did the wine tasting after. Food was super fresh and delicious. Service was 10 out of 10. They all seemed happy and to love the family and working there. Portraits/artwork was stunning . The woodland fairy vibe was everything I'm originally from the Bay and visit my besties annually. Their wines are amazing. Loved the sparking raspberry wine. Got 3 bottles. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely and enchanting experience

I was really excited to try The Dancing Fox. This was our first visit, and we arrived right as they opened, so the wait wasn't an issue. Unfortunately, the first impression walking in wasn't great. The servers appeared unwelcoming and exhausted, and there wasn't much of a greeting or warmth. After we sat down, that seemed to be the overall tone. Our server was very dry--maybe it had been a long night, but the energy felt low from start to finish. The food came out on the greasy side and lacked seasoning. The standout dish was the calamari--the pieces were large, meaty, and satisfying. The fish and chips looked great in photos, but it didn't taste fresh and had an oddly papery texture. I also tried a cherry cider wine, which leaned very sweet--almost like a port, and not quite my preference. One of the most disappointing aspects was the lack of wine flight options. When I asked about tastings, I was told I'd need to sit at the bar next time, which felt a bit dismissive. Overall, it wasn't my best restaurant experience in Lodi. I had high hopes, but this visit didn't quite deliver.

Thiss place is huge, and has outdoor seating options. It was a beautiful first Sat in Oct, we opt to sit outside. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered 2 beers in opposite spectrums. A light pear cider and a dark Stout, Barrel aged Yeti. Both were great. For food, we had a tritip sandwich and a Cranberry Walnut Salad. Both were tasty with house made bread. After our meal, we walked to the back for complimentary wine tasting. We asked for reds, and were poured generously with so many bottles. We ended up buying the new blend and the port.

One of the best veggies burgers! The patties are house-made with many fresh ingredients. The patty holds together well. Big portion. Highly recommend. I prefer the onion rings over the fries. I heard the chicken caprese sandwich is really good! I also want to try their fish and chips. I haven't done their wine tasting here. The service and restaurant is real nice. I love the decore. Bathroom is clean. They do have a parking lot as the street parking can be hard.

Stopped in here as part of the wine and chocolate journey. The tastings and service were great and so was the complimentary food provided. The winery was beautiful and overall a great stop for sure!

First visit based on a recommendation and it was worth it Food - all the food ordered was delicious. The portions were huge. We shared among the table as it was overwhelming for one person. Ambience - we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. Very relaxing vibe Service - at first our sever was a little rigid but as time went on he relaxed and become more friendly and smiled. He was on top of things though Overall great experience. Look forward to the next visit

Lodi-After a long day of winetasting, we were ready for some snacks! This place fit the bill. Very dark and moody inside and super inviting. Our waiter was awesome and our appetizers were delicious. I will think about that hummus until I have it again someday! The bruschetta was garlicky and delicious too.

I love the apps here! Great pairing with the drinks. Bruschetta, calamari and the sliders were soooo on point. Highly recommend those. We didn't get entrees but the burger looked good. I'd get that next time. I loved the one and only beer lager on their menu. It's a brewery so I'd expect more options for the lager but didn't find any. Also my partner who is a self proclaimed wine connoisseur, stated the wine was slightly watered down. I thought it was alright from my one sip. Seating is awesome tho! I liked the outdoor seating patio style. Great private and romantic as well. Good indoor seating for those who want it too. Parking right outside. They have their own parking lot. Staff are friendly and prompt with their service.

I've been wanting to trying Dancing Fox for years! WOW! So cute. Love that they have beer and wine! The place is very cozy and warm. They have a wonderful bar and outdoor patio! The service was top notch. The drinks were awesome, we had the pear cider and the Luna Morta(?), basically the sour! So yummy! We ordered the fish and chips! The fish was very tasty and the batter wasn't too thick making the fish nice and crispy. The fries were to die for! The French dip was amazing! The bread soft and the beef slices were very tender! Can't wait to come back!

This place is so beautiful and rustic! Wine cellar vibes with pretty greenery. I really enjoyed my birthday lunch here and always have good experiences when I come: I had the veggie patty - what's awesome about it, is it is actually made with black bean and real ingredients. Loved the seedbun as well. Everything here tastes so unique and flavorful. Fries were nice and crispy. We had some wait time for a table so they gave us some complimentary samples of wine in the tasting room. Service was great all around. Definitely a must visit if you come to Lodi!

Ask the Community - The Dancing Fox Winery & Brewery

    Take dinner reservations?

Their site says they do not. I've never needed one but haven't gone during a street fair or event.

Is there any sweet wine and cheese 🧀 platter?

Are you open on Thanksgiving Day?

I would think not but you can always call or get on their website

Do I need reservation to have Brunch?

They currently do not take any reservations. It's first come first serve.

Question for the winery/restaurant: Are both the restaurant and wine tasting dog friendly?

I have brought my dog here many times! Super pooch friendly. Seating outside, and I'm very sure they will accommodate your wine tasting outside too with your doggo!

    Do they take reservations?

Only on Easter and Mothers Day

    When is their expansion done?

Hopefully sometime in early 2020. The bureaucracy within city limits is a pain in every city.

Trivia master is def a movie guy. I would come back for this trivia format, yes. This was also a good spot to watch the niner game a few weeks back. Back when we were winning. Sigh. TVs everywhere, lots of seating inside and out. That said, it's a busy popular spot full of regulars so if you want a seat for a game or event, come early. I want to come back for music bingo or vinyl night. Bring your own vinyl. Color me intrigued. Not sure what music people listen to here but I have options. They have a lot of cool stuff happening here. Mostly friendly vibes, great beer selection on local craft AND imports. Bathroom report: it's whatever. Reminds me of midtown with the jankiness but I may just be prior-homesick. I wandered into a nearby storeroom for tp one night but there was ? more tp inside the b room that I missed. Oops.

Now was a good as time as any! As we entered, there was a sign to meet at the bar for seating. The waitress/server came out after a bit of a wait and according to my friend, it's usually a longer wait time around lunch for someone to come out and seat you. I was recommended to try the pork schnitzel by my friend and it did not disappoint. I got my sandwich with a side salad. We also ordered the deviled eggs to share. My friend has never had the deviled eggs before and pleasantly surprised and delighted that the eggs were absolutely delicious. They're very smooth, eggs were cooked perfectly and the touch of bacon was just right. It does come with a small helping of mixed greens topped with pickled onions. The pork schnitzel was crispy & crunchy due to the breaded pork loin, came with pickled onions, slaw and the chipotle aioli sauce. The sauce does have a bit of a kick to it but it wasn't too spicy, well, at least for me. My salad was very good too. It was colorful and had an interestingly tangy dressing on it. It paired well with the sandwich. One was spicy and the salad was tangy but refreshing. My friend also ordered the pork schnitzel with beef tallow fries. I tried some of her fries and they were thin but still crispy. Overall the food at West Oak Nosh was so good and delicious! Service was good, prompt and our server was attentive despite being by herself. I think this place is great for the summer to have a drink and eat. Will have to come back for the drinks!
