We have taken our family here about 6 times since we moved into the area. First, the food is outstanding. Its excellent. But that's where all the goodness ends. Waiters are not very attentive, and we find that we have to get up and go find someone for drink refills. Also the food is very slow to arrive. Its almost like they only have one cook in the back who is constantly on break. This is my biggest complaint. We waited over an hour to get our food on Friday nights. Even though the place is packed on Friday evenings, they seem to have enough staff. There are many staff members usually. The atmosphere is nice. It usually is loud and bustling. So if you want a nice quiet dinner, this is not your place. Prices are a bit higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area. But again, the food is excellent (once you get it). The restrooms are horrible. Not dirty or anything like that, but for the size of the restaurant, the available restrooms are not enough. There is only room for a single patron at a time to use the restroom (one men's room and one women's room, that is). So there are often lines of people waiting to get into the restroom. This is not only a restaurant, but also a bar. So restroom availability is pretty important. You can choose to dine inside or outside on the patio. That is nice. If you choose to dine here, make sure you schedule at least 30-60 minutes more than you would have allocated for the dining experience since it takes an exorbitant amount of time to get your food. read more

I've visited this restaurant 10-15 times. Sometimes the food is excellent, sometimes the food is just middle of the road Mexican. We have never had a bad experience and that is why we keep going back. Texas margarita is on point. read more

Good flavors, good drinks but the prices are a bit high. In addition to my Togo meal I ordered extra salsa & large cheese dip. They only gave me one bag of chips and were going to charge for a second bag. If someone is paying nearly $10 for cheese dip and extra salsa then you should throw in extra chips for free. Also they shut down their grill a good hour+ before they say they are closing. It could be an amazing restaurant with a few changes. Charging for extra salsa, chips (when you are purchasing a large meal & large cheese dip) and closing your grill down extra early is bad business in my opinion. read more

This is my favorite Mexican food in the area. I am a Texan and think I can judge good Mexican food...so here goes my opinions. Food, all food here is great. Portion and price are just right. I do not drink much, but when I have, the drinks have a kick. Staff is freindly. They just renovated so there is plenty of space. There are a few drawbacks that I have had, the tortilla chips have been a little extra crunchy from sitting out, the guacamole is mixed with fresh and has a weird taste at times. And there is just one waiter there that is slow......my wife and I go often, there is just that one waiter....lol. Note: Weekend nights are packed, expect a wait. I went in for dinner, just me and my two year old toddler. The waitress was not very friendly to begin with but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the enchiladas supreme which was supposed to come with one of each- beef, chicken, cheese, and bean. I asked for two chicken instead of the beef which she said was fine. I had already eaten one enchilada and started a second when I realized all four of my enchiladas were chicken! I couldn't even tell the waitress my order was wrong because she never bothered to come check on us the rest of the meal. I never saw her again until she plopped the check on the table. Didn't stop to speak to me, just dropped it on the table and kept walking. I had to ask a different waitress to take the check and bring me boxes. I realize I am just one person with a child, so my bill and tip were not going to be as large as other tables. But it's not fair to ignore me because of that. Though the food did taste good, it was not what I ordered. Very disappointed in my wrong order and total lack of service. read more

This is the best traditional Mexican restaurant in Walton County. Service is quick, polite & attentive. Meals are served promptly. Nice range of beers and a pretty good salsa. Free chips are just OK. The Menu is extensive and prices are reasonable. Place can get a bit noisy & is always busy but,except for the occasional large groups of teenagers, tables turn over at a pretty quick rate. The staff in general is very polite. As I said; this is by far the best traditional Mexican in the county and well worth the price. read more

Great food as always. On a Saturday night we were in the booth by the front door, and covered by people coming and going, because there is nowhere to wait, our server totally forgot us. Our food took about 30 minutes, weird I know for a Mexican restaurant, and we ran out of water for a very long time! We kept watching our server hit a table two down from us about 7 times, and in the time never made eye contact with us to check on us and see that our food wasn't out yet and that we were out of drinks. Very disappointing. But we will be back because the food is good. Hopefully by then they will take out the table by the front door and just use that as extra waiting space!! First, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday they have all day happy hour. $2.50 lime margaritas. And they are good! We have quickly become regulars and everything we have tried on the menu is spectacular - the menu by the way is HUGE. Something for everyone. Our favorites have been the steak and cactus, shrimp with garlic, chicken soup, and the quesadillas. But truthfully nothing has gone wrong when ordering. Just your normal Mexican restaurant with a very extensive menu. You can get dishes here that you might not see at other places. If your feeling adventurous and like new flavors then this is the place for you. Usually pretty crowded at peak hours no matter what day it is, so go early if you want to beat the crowds. read more

I've been here 3 times and they have the worst service. The hostess is rude because we had a big party and after we were seated told us we had to be moved. She said because we have a big party and this was after insisting we had to all be on separate tickets. Seems easier to do all on one but whatever. We were driving back home on Sunday and decided to try a new place. Cocina Fuentes got good reviews and as we approached we could see the parking lot was full and they had outside seating. In spite of the crowd we were seated immediately and our chips and salsa were delivered right as our server arrived. We ordered guacamole and the half pitcher of margaritas. Tables are small and for some reason they love to place all items on individual plates which fill up the table quick making for an uncomfortable meal. The ratios are good but change from day to day and that inconsistency is very irritating. Some waiters are too friendly and cross the line between customer and client relationship. read more
