This was my first time in Winder and I was pleasantly surprised with all the amazing businesses, this place included! First of all, I'm from California. Secondly, I grew up in Los Angeles and Fresno and worked in the bay- so when I am in the mood for tacos here in Georgia, I prepare myself to be disappointed. Well- this place did NOT disappoint. In fact it tasted like the type of Mexican food I grew up eating with my family. The tortillas were not dry and not too oily. It was odd at first seeing one tortilla per taco because it's just a built in expectation for two, but this worked! My tacos didn't break surprisingly especially because the amount of meat within each taco is perfect. Not too much and they are definitely not stingy. Very dialed in. The carne asada has a great chargrilled taste to it and is balanced with fat to meat ratio. It wasn't dripping with oil, or soppy- just right. The pastor was so tender I was lucky my husband even gave me a bite! The shrimp taco was my favorite! The shrimp was seasoned people!! Amen! It was also paired with the right amount of cheese to make it hardy and delicious. The service was above average with the manager offering a wonderful guava cheesecake that reminded me of summer in L.A. when the guava is all around. Our sever also was very attentive and gave us a punch card which the manager did as well. They invited us to the weekends where they have closed the street in front to Open up for more seating and dancing. We will definitely be making the drive here from SW Atlanta just for this amazing food and great company! read more

My parents were visiting today and I decided to bring them here for a late lunch. I raved to my mom about the spicy margartias that they made for me knowing that we both love spice. Also note, I have been here several times before with my husband with great service. Long story short, our waitress was a hot mess. I asked for FRESH jalapenos and she brought us pickled jalapenos and tried to say they are fresh. My mom ordered a jalapeno margarita and I reiterated she loves spicy. Marg came with one fresh jalapeno on top and it was not spicy at all. We ordered shrimp tacos and I asked for grilled shrimp on CORN TORTILLAS with fresh onion and cilantro only. This chick brought me actual corn. The tacos were on flour tortillas with pickled onions and garlic sauce. We ordered chicken flautas and said we only want the flautas, nothing else on top, on the side, etc. Of course they arrived with greens and cheese on top. When the bill arrived, I was charged for the margarita my mom did not drink and $5 for the side of corn I didn't ask for. We asked that the margarita be removed. Genesis left and came back and said the "manager" did not want to remove the margarita from the bill, but she convinved him to. I still gave her a very good tip even though she was the worst waitress I have ever had. We will not dine here again. read more

Thumbs Up!!! We like! Adorable little restaurant, what an awesome addition to the Winder area. We ordered the rice bowls and a burrito. YUM!!!! Make sure you get the garlic and cilantro sauce, and also the social sauce is pretty good, it has a different little flare almost like soy sauce with a little spice so if you're looking for something different, you should definitely try that. I also ordered a guava Mojito, it was really good, but could've used a little bit more mint. Service was awesome, I didn't get his name, but he has really great tattoos. The place was very clean, really creative decor.. if you're in the area, you should definitely try this place out. read more

The food is always fresh and prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is amazing. Very relaxed scene and easy to enjoy dinner conversation. Our service (thank you Cass) was a 10 out of 10. Love love love!! We ate here for brunch/lunch and everything was wonderful from the service, to the decor, and most importantly the food and drinks. We ordered the Chilaquiles Verde and kinda shared that among the table, highly recommend! We also got all kinds of tacos; pastor, asada, pulpo zarandeo (which deserves an honorable mention as octopus is notoriously cooked wrong and therefore chewy but this was perfectly grilled!), shrimp, chorizo, and birria, and the refried beans. This was my first time visiting Tacos N Social. My friends & I were at the coffee shop next door, when we walked by, the music and colorful decor set such an inviting, fun vibe. We were seated by the manager. He was incredibly attentive, and thoughtful. He absolutely contributed to the positive experience we had. He brought us a complimentary slice of tres leches cake, which was the best I've ever had. I'm very picky with tres leches due to how watery some people make it. But this was 10/10. As for the food, I ordered the shrimp taco and chicken taco. The chicken taco on its own would've been a little dry, but the jalapeño salsa it came with was perfect. The shrimp taco came with pickled onions and a garlic salsa, and it was absolutely delicious (though I personally would've loved a little more pickled onion, but that's just preference). My friend tried the birria taco, and while the meat itself was tender and juicy, it didn't come with consome or cheese like the birria tacos we're used to. She said it felt like something was missing, but still enjoyed the flavor. The manager also informed us they have live music on Saturdays. For us this was good to know, considering Winder fun is very limited. I highly recommend stopping by. Me and my friends will all be returning soon to see what else they have to offer. read more

The hottest Mexican spot popped up in Winder Ga. You might ask, Another Mexican restaurant?!? Yes, BUT this one sticks out from the rest. This restaurant has been aesthetically thought out. From the moment you walk in, the music you listen to, the murals of unique art to the beautiful crafted food. This is quality and quantity. This isn't your regular chips and salsa and get out. This is the date night, this is a niche dance spot, this is networking and letting loose while having a bite. The service was phenomenal. Everyone was attentive and so kind. Food was great salmon was cooked just right and great value. Service is always very good. We sat in the patio so we could bring our dogs worked out great. My only complaint is I asked them if they use actual real cheddar cheese on their nachos, the server said they use to but people complained, so they went back to the liquid cheese crap you get at a baseball game. Not the restaurants fault but perhaps you could have the option for people who enjoy real Mexican food. read more

Chose this place on a Saturday afternoon for a girls lunch with my sister and was not disappointed! Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by our server Luca, who is the son of the owner we learner, which made us even more happy that we were supporting a family business!! The ambience was everything. Vintage posters covered the walls and it really made you feel like you were out the country. That's the vibe I like when I go out! Service was great and although we were hungry, the wait for the food was no match for the taste! Seasoned to perfection and beautifully presented. Our drinks were delishhh and let's just say all I needed was one and I was good for the road. Needless to say, this is our new favorite spot and we will be revisiting if I am ever in the Winder area. The food was good but I expected tortillas with my $24 dollar carne asada plate, but did not come with it. I asked for chips it was a separate charge and that's fine but no salsa !!!! I'm suppose to just eat dry chips!! There are a few things that need to come with the food but apparently not at this restaurant. My server was nice but not attentive and brings me the credit machine to pay and I had to ask for the bill first I like to see what I'm paying for. We went right before a wedding party arrived and the guest were so rude- kicking our chairs and stuffs the staff ignored us for 30 minutes. We are super nice and patient. They had a stand outside the restaurant for the festival/event going on mar 14th, I'd never been there yet so I wanted to try it out. I got two margaritas and two tacos. Margaritas were in a cup half the size of a red solo, it was a good amount so not complaining about that, no salt rim but whatever I guess. The tacos were literally just steak and a mini taco shell and the cost? 40$....... Yeah I'm never going there again. I was tempted to be like uhmmmm are you sure that's right??? The service needs help. I have been here 3 times and it is the same so now I am leaving a review. Maybe since every employee is on their phone, they will see this. Myself and everyone I know that have gone here say the service is lacking. You get seated and look around and all of the employees are talking to each other behind the bar. The food is good not great, I like the bowl. This is really one of the few options here now. I hate that poor service is consistent. We were one of 3 tables in the place last time and I asked for a beer when I was seated and got it after my food.
