Mind you it's only 1:30. No comes and it looks questionable. I take a bite and it taste like school lunch. I took a closer look at the sun and I tasted it after my cousin said it looks like marinara sauce. In fact was marinara sauce. I ordered a cherry Coke thinking it was 299 like the other drinks. It was 3.50. I didn't realize that the cherry sodas cost more so this was my fault. The beans and rice are all right mid. Now me and my cousin are just sitting here thinking about what other food we could've gone to.

Almost reminded me of a small western town. Parking wasn't plenty nearby but there is parking all along the strip. The inside is not that large and consists of mostly booths (with wooden seats). Big enough for maybe 35 people to eat in. For the tiny space, they make up for it with big portions of everything. My friend ordered a skinny Margarita and it was the biggest one I had ever seen. Humongous skinny Margarita. And the way the waitress described the size of it prior to it coming had us both cracking up, bc we were confused until IT came. I had a big Corona for my drink. The chips/salsa were so-so. My meal, chicken quesadillas, was HUGE but overall just so-so. They coated it with melted cheese and overloaded it with onions. It could've used less of all that, and just lots of pico/sour cream. My friend seemed to enjoy her meal. No complaints on the visit. Very much a hole-in-the-wall type of place with large portions and ok food. Come here for the drinks, if anything.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is a local favorite. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the menu offers a great selection of traditional Mexican dishes, along with a few Salvadoran influences that make it even more unique. One of the highlights of the evening was meeting the owner, Antonio Ramirez. Throughout the meal, he made his way around the restaurant, stopping at each table with a smile to ask how everything was and to make sure guests were enjoying themselves. That level of personal attention is becoming increasingly rare and speaks volumes about how much he cares about both the food and the customer experience. It's also obvious that the local college crowd has discovered this gem. There were plenty of students enjoying dinner, and it seemed like the margaritas were especially popular--particularly when Mom and Dad were picking up the tab! Fortunately, the margaritas are well worth it, with generous pours and plenty of options to choose from. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Most importantly, the flavors felt authentic and homemade rather than the typical chain restaurant version of Mexican food.

I have been a fan of their carnitas since my very first visit almost 10 years ago and it's still the dish I will order 80% of the time... either as a meal or as a bowl. My wife almost always gets a veggie burrito or chimichanga and we definitely ALWAYS get their chicken taquitos either by themselves or as part of the sampler plate. They've had a few fails over the year, like a few occasions when the taquitos were served cold in the center or when the carnitas over a bed of onions came out waaaay too overcooked and dry. But by and large they have always given us an excellent, clean and consistent dining experience with wonderful servers. To their credit, I don't think we've ever had an issue with any server in all of the years we've been patrons. NOTE: The times they got it wrong were always corrected when I spoke up. The sweet tea here is some of my favorite in all the south (except for this last visit) and also their frozen piña colada is my third favorite ever, with the first being one I had on a random beach in Costa Rica many years ago and the second favorite being at Pepper's Cantina in Panama City, Florida. I don't personally believe their current 3.7 rating is accurate (should be higher), but then again my loyalty might be making my opinion bias. However, any local will tell you this location is packed regularly and is almost impossible to get in on weekends without a significant wait time. Get the carnitas, burrito, sampler, three way cheese dip and a frozen piña colada or sweet tea.

This place is superrr busy (vibrant and active with families eating and chatting). The decorum is culturally beautiful, as well. We enjoyed dining at El Real. The only drawback for us was the wait for our server to come back to take our dinner orders. We were relieved when our orders were taken. However, this was short-lived. We then waited close to 30mins before our dinners arrived. The wait(s) were exorbitant. However, the meals were delicious, our server was polite, so we will try this eatery again.

They frequent this joint every Friday. Talk about a loyal group of people! It was busy tonight. There were quite a few of us tonight but our server got our tables handled. He started us off with our drinks. I ordered a peach mango virgin margarita tonight. After drinks were passed out, dinner orders were taken. Our server handled business! He got all off our orders squared away and then refilled drinks, chips and salsa dishes. My peach mango margarita was so good! I was perfectly salted on the rim. The margarita was flavorful with peach and mango. It took a lot out of me not to suck the whole thing down in one drink. The flavoring was the best when you licked threw salt and then took a drink. So yummy! I ordered the shredded beef flautas for dinner. I got 3 chunky flautas covered in fresh lettuce, cojita and sour cream. My side of rice and beans looked super tasty! My flautas were perfectly crunchy with tender and savory beef in the middle. The ultimate bite was the flauta, lettuce, cojita and sour cream together. So good! I ate too much of the chips, cheese dip and salsa so I only had 2 of the 3 flautas. It was a hearty meal! The cheese dip is money so order the cheese dip! You won't regret it! We ended dinner with a fried ice cream. The size of this ice cream is no joke! I love the heavy dusting of cinnamon on top of the ice cream and whipped cream. The corn flakes were sweet and chewy. The ice cream was creamy! The perfect bite was the ice cream, corn flakes and some with the cinnamon dusted whipped cream. A fantastic treat after dinner! I did notice the gentleman next to me eat something called Bobby's plate. It's grilled veggies with a piece of grilled chicken, a plate named after a customer after he passed. It was his specific meal he ate all the time. That is what I'll be having next year! I had such a fun time tonight and a fantastic dinner. Looking forward to next year's fiesta!
