The environment at The Pub Out Back is very chill and has regulars that come and everyone knows everyone. This is definitely the kind of bar I look for when wanting a quick drink with friends. They do not have food but there is a pizza place that they can order food for you that will deliver. Last night, I got some French fries and it showed up on my bill. I loved not having to order the food myself and deal with the hassle of getting it delivered.

Fiess is normally alive music club, but on Viking game days, they become the ultimate Ohio Viking bar. Erik and the local Ohio purple people eaters club doing amazing job of transforming the place into your Vikings home away from home. They do the SKOL chant and they sing the fight song whenever the Vikings score. They give away prizes during commercials. They have a 50-50 raffle. It's like you're at the stadium. The staff is super friendly and very attentive, even though the bar was packed. Never missed a beat when your drink is empty or if you needed some food. The food is just OK. It could definitely be better in my opinion. I had the sliders and the beef just had no seasoning or flavor on it, but it was still OK. They do allow you to bring in outside food and there is a pizza joint next-door That had very good pizza as I got to try a piece of somebody's. I personally would recommend getting the pizza from next-door over the food inside. My only sort of gripe is that I wish the TVs were bigger and newer and brighter. Since the place is not typically a sports bar, I sort of get it. But they definitely need bigger TVs. Still totally watchable they just feel really small in the big space.

It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall/dive bar, which honestly, is my favorite. I'm much more of a laid back person than the high-end bars downtown or the Short North. They have karaoke on Thursday's and it gets pretty busy! The vibe was awesome, people cheering for others even if they weren't American Idol-level. A close friend of mine MC's for it and uses a website that has almost 40k songs and you can reserve your spot and choose your song from it. It's pretty awesome not to lug those huge song books around. Our bartender Ashley was so sweet and attentive, sang some songs (she has a great voice) and worked really hard to keep everyone happy. We all just smiled and laughed. Old school decor hasn't changed in forever. Certainly didn't bother me as love that old school dive feel. All cash, so don't bring your credit cards.
