The space is absolutely gorgeous and located in an old building with major speakeasy vibes, which made the experience feel even more special. We were welcomed by the owners, Carolyn and Jason, with delicious Rye Whiskey Sours along with an amazing spread of artisanal cheeses and meats. For the class, Jason taught us not only about premium liquors and how to make four different cocktails, but also about the history of alcohol and cocktails. I wasn't expecting that part, but it was so interesting and made the experience feel like much more than just a cocktail-making class. They also incorporated a fun team system where we earned points for answering trivia questions, which added a really fun and competitive element to the experience. The four cocktails we made were an Apple Jack Old Fashioned with brandy, a Bees Knees with gin, a Cuban Espresso Martini with tequila, and a Spicy Pineapple Tequila Sour. Every single drink was delicious! Some of these are cocktails I probably never would have thought to order, but I ended up loving them all. The Bees Knees was so good that I actually bought the syrup afterward so I can make it at home. They did such a great job setting up our bartending stations and cleaning throughout the class, which made the whole experience feel very seamless. Jason was also an incredible host. He literally learned every single person's name in the class, which I found so impressive and made the experience feel much more personalized and welcoming.
