Coco is pure magic and my absolute favorite place to celebrate any occasion! Whether it's your birthday, bachelorette party, anniversary, promotion, graduation, or even celebrating new beginnings like a divorce or a big move, Coco is the perfect spot. Donning a wig and a little sparkle is such a fun way to honor a moment and welcome a new beginning. This place is not only incredibly playful but also a profoundly transformative Austin legend. A longstanding treasure trove of resources and support for the creative community that has built a culture that has made Austin so desirable. Coco Coquette a haven for anyone who loves to cosplay, desires to create an alter ego, become their own superhero, or finally win the office Halloween costume party. Even if you just need a collection of wigs for those terrible hair days, Coco has you covered. Don't miss out on the magic that Coco offers - from wig party's to make overs (oh and you can get one of their makeup artists to zshuzsh you up for special nights out)! It's truly a one-of-a-kind experience! P.S. You will also find incredible jewelry, sunglasses, LASHES (!!), makeup, head dresses, pasties, tights, crowns, vintage, and all things glamorous. Go forth & wig out!

Five stars are not nearly enough. My best friend took me here as a birthday present, and it was the most fun, alcohol-free fun that I've had in a long time. To call these glamour shots is an understatement- they completely dress you, wig you, and do your makeup. I picked my wig, and the stylist made fantastic recommendations from there. After they dress you, they pose you for photos. We didn't have to come up with the poses, which was a big relief. The whole operation is inside an old house, and every room is decorated with adorable, photographable corners and backdrops. Also, everything in the shop is for sale: wigs, outfits, accessories... they keep a rotating supply of outfits, wigs, and designs. Many of the headpieces are even made by hand. I bought my wig to take home and my friend bought the dress. My friend and I have now vowed that we want to come back every year for BFF pictures!

If you haven't bought a wig and developed an alternate personality, what are you doing? This place is so much fun. It has wigs, eclectic accessories, and vintage finds. They host public and private events. I've done several wig parties there and everyone always has so much fun. Everyone is kind, helpful, and welcoming. Their website has all the info you need to book various options. I'm so glad Austin has this gem of a place!

This place is amazing! I've never felt more comfortable and happy in my life (no exaggeration). This was a very big day for me and was extremely nervous as I am an introvert. As soon as I walked in, that melted away. This place has great vibes and the people have a true passion and love for what they do. I truly loved my experience and plan to come again for repeat business. I can't iterate enough how lovely these humans are and how chill the vibes are. Please come and support this business in any way you can.

I got three wigs probably 10 outfits and other miscellaneous items that you don't need to know about.....

I don't remember the name of the lady that helped me but she was amazing beautiful, flamboyantly amazing personality I have ever witnessed. The shopping for me a second to none. I have never gotten a Shop that I love the stuff that much! I am a girl born a female, but I do feel like I'm a drag queen.... If you're even close to anything like that, you would love this place and I recommend that you go and please try on a wig because I'm telling you the woman that helped me was the most knowledgeable experienced person I've ever dealt with and she's a lot of fun!

We had an amazing time at our wig party! I have bought several wigs from Coco Coquette and have always been impressed with the wigs, clothes and make-up they have. When I found out about the wig parties I knew it was a must and scheduled one as soon as the right event presented itself. There were 7 of us, we brought food and drinks along with a fun attitude and transformed into our alter egos. The wig whisperer was fabulous. We all chose 2 of our favorites and in the end the ones we all ended up with are the wigs the whisperer said we should try. None of us knew until the end that she guided us toward the wig that was best suited for us for that evening. It made it even more special when we compared stories and found out that she definetly was a true wig whisperer. I will definitely be finding my next reason to have a party ASAP!

Came here for a friend's bachelorette wig party and it was just a great time all around! Depending on the # of people in your group, it'll cost you around $30-$50 give or take + tip. For the wig parties, the event starts at 7:30 p.m., but they let you in at 7 p.m. if you need to setup food/drinks. In the front lounge room, there's a large buffet table, a coffee table and bar area. I used up every single surface and I had an extra bucket to keep wine and other drinks cold. They usually do 2-3 girls at a time. Pick your choice of wig (there are ones that come with your basic set, but if you want a more expensive wig, you just pay the difference). There are so many wigs! Colorful ones to simple blonde ones. After you don your wig, you head over to makeup. You can purchase lashes to dress up the makeup -- which I highly recommend! It really does bring the whole look together. Once you're done, hang out, take lots of pics and just have a good old time. The service was great and everyone was there to help you have a good time. I almost wish we could've just stayed there the rest of the night! We had around 15 girls and we got out of there around 10:30 p.m.

I came here on a Friday night for my friend's bachelorette Coco Wig Party. It was one of the most memorable experiences I had during my time in Austin :) The Coco Wig Party lasts for 2-3 hours, each guest goes home with a wig and has a chance to get their makeup done by a makeup artist. There is a huge selection of wigs, some of the wigs are not included in the wig party and you will have to pay extra if you choose one of them. The owner of the shop made the experience so fun, she spends time with each guest to help you put on the wig securely. You even get a free wig cap! After you select your wig, there is a makeup artist to help tie your look altogether. We all felt beautiful and amazing! The environment is super fun, a no judgement zone, everyone is just there to make you look and feel your best :) There are tons of lashes, accessories, jewelry pieces, etc. to play dress up with, the wigs were great quality and stayed on securely all night when we went out dancing in the town in them ;)

Went on Friday night with my best friend who came to visit, I would say it's a BLAST! There was a bachelorette party who came after me and they were loud...I would do this again 110% but I would say a group of 6 max! The wig whisperer was sweet and very willing to let us try on 3 wigs. Makeup was so great! She did an awesome job! My friends lips looked so good I'm going to buy the lip color she used on her tomorrow!

I can not say more good things about this place! This shop is amazing! 8 girls were flying into Austin for my friends's bachelorette party so what better way to make the bride feel crazy and gorgeous at the same time than at a wig party! Coco Croquette lets you host a wig party after hours which starts at 730pm. You get about 2 hours with the shop to yourselves with the "wig whisperer." This whole party was made possible because of the fabulous Anna Marie who I had to contact several times due to date/time and headcount changes. She was super accommodating on the phone and was fun to hang out with at the shop! We were allowed to bring food/drink and set up the main room of the shop like a party. The wig whisperer then takes you back to the room with all the wigs 2 at a time to find out which wig suits you best. Each person got to try on about 2-3 wigs. The wig party price includes eye/lip makeup application (lashes not included--lashes cost $7+) We all had fun taking pics in the shop esp with the ring beauty light. It had a stand to pop your phone in for the best selfie light! The experience was great for the bride and her friends. We then spent the night out bar hopping, colorful wigs and all!

Gorgeous art on the outside of the building!

I simply loved my experience here, what a unique place!! I came here to buy a wig to wear in Las Vegas, and there are so many beautiful options it was hard to decide! The selection is vast, and the prices seemed very competitive for the quality based on the small amount of research I did prior to my visit. Everyone working there was really nice and patient while I struggled to decide between colors. The best part is that they help you try on different ones so that you can actually see what it will look like! And it helped save me from YouTubing "how to put on a wig" later, haha. I already can't wait to go back and get another wig! Takeaways: 1. Would definitely recommend this shop 2. Wigs are super fun and I got a million compliments, so if you're thinking of buying one just do it! 3. They do parties, which I have no experience with, but it sounds amazing, and I would definitely do part of a bachelorette here.

Our kids hired this planner, and from the very beginning there were warning signs-but the scope of the issues that unfolded went far beyond anything we could have anticipated. From not remembering meeting the groom after a one-hour introductory call, to ongoing disorganization, to inconsistent and frequently changing pricing, the experience was stressful throughout. We were quoted inflated costs for items such as generators-significantly higher than what we were able to negotiate ourselves-and were directed to vendors whose pricing was nearly ten times higher than identical products available on Etsy. Despite being repeatedly reassured that all details were handled, several critical failures occurred on the wedding day. The string quartet never arrived because 36th Street Events sent their information to an outdated email address. Instead of notifying the bride, groom, or any parents about the mistake, recorded music was played without explanation. Requested site visits never happened, staffing was not confirmed, and as a result dinner was delayed by 60-90 minutes, guests had no water available, and the wrong song was played for the father-daughter dance. These operational missteps were extremely disappointing. However, the most troubling aspect was the unprofessional and at times blatantly rude behavior displayed by Ren toward parents, guests, and even the priest officiating the ceremony. Multiple guests approached us asking why the wedding coordinator was so dismissive and why, as family members scrambled to help guests during a sudden rain, she stood by and watched. Prior to the bride and groom entering the reception, Ren told the groom he should button his jacket so he "didn't look fat." All of the above are just a few examples of the disappointment. For an event as meaningful as a wedding, professionalism, organization, and care matter enormously--and sadly, these were consistently lacking. After our bad experience, I did see another similar review for Ren on this platform.

Suffice it so say, they have many reasons to highly recommend Ren and her team. As a mother of the bride, Ren and her team were there for every part of the planning. There was not one ball dropped in the process and in fact the handling of the unusual weather which forced the ceremony and reception into one space was probably the most professional job I have ever experienced during a large event. This was a large wedding that required last minute drapery, which Ren snagged from the best team in the area. The hall was transformed into an intimate, cozy ceremony and was truly spectacular. The tear down from the ceremony and set up for the reception was flawless and did not affect the timing of the entire night. There literally were no hiccups! We trusted Ren and her team from the beginning and that allowed for us to just be calm and confident that this major last minute change would be superbly executed. My favorite part of the experience with Ren was experiencing her heart for my daughter's vision and her attentiveness to her needs and wants with assurances that the day would be spectacular, despite weather complications. Her recommendations from the band, busing, big and small details during the ceremony, happy hour ambience in a tent requiring last minute forced air in rainy weather, and reception ideas and design were truly amazing. 36th Street Events will be my first pick for any future event.
