Since I'm pretty much a regular here, duchess I think now, it's about time that I review this place. Any bubble tea enthusiast should know that Coco is not the best. To be honest, I feel like New York is lazy in the bubble tea scene, with the same flavors and poorly made drinks. But people buy because there's no better milk tea out there. Personally, I really dislike the taste of Coco's regular black milk tea. Milk tea should not taste like that but for some reason, I do know some people who like that, so maybe it's a personal preference. Their menu is quite small and has the typical offerings. I really wish they had more variety, but once again, unless there is demand for it, I really doubt Coco would push the envelope and introduce new drinks. I've pretty much tried everything on the menu because I've been here so much, so here are my personal favs: -****red bean fresh milk. It's pretty much whole milk with red bean and boba. It's super creamy and yummy. Beware of post-milk breath; keep your mints nearby! (This is pretty much the only thing I order here now) - green milk tea. It's not on the menu but they do make it. Once again it's not the best, but it's not horrible either. I order it once in a while when I'm craving it. - taro milk tea. Made of powder and it shows. It's on the watery side but it does the trick. - 3 guys. Once again, it has the horrid BMT taste so not a big fan but who doesn't like grass jelly, egg jelly and boba. - 2 ladies. For those who like fruitier drinks, aka not milk tea. It's refreshing but personally not my thing. (All their flavored teas are good, except for the lemon one. Unless you like the idea of ingesting Pledge-flavored tea.) I'm not a fan of Coco but I'm always here because of its location. Came here twice and I got stomachache afterward! Yes, twice! There's something wrong with the tapioca pearl. They all u digested. I got a very bad stomachache for at least 5 hours after that. This is one of a few locations in the downtown Flushing area and is located directly inside Shops at Sky View Center. The storefront is rather small and there are only a few employees.. it can get busy and wait times can be rather long. There is limited seating as well. The quality and consistency of their products is solid. The tea tastes like tea and the fruity flavors taste fresh. They offer a couple of specially priced drinks on a rotational basis. The drink specials are better that Chatime though.. BOGO on all drinks and all sizes! I don't like how they don't offer all their drinks in the larger size.. and they seem to have no way of overriding it in the system or ability to charge you manually for a larger sized drink. read more

Been here a few times already and had their black milk tea and their cream black milk tea. First off, if you DO NOT LIKE CREAM, DO NOT GET CREAM BLACK MILK TEA. So logical right? I tried it out of curiosity and it's too much cream for me. Also, cream tastes a little different from cream you put in your coffee. More thick and sweeter. Black milk tea is actually quite refreshing. You can ask them for half the sugar or even 30%. Their bubbles are sweet and chewy. I had some old bubbles in the past from other places and they are gross- hard, chalky in taste... However, this place, every time I went their bubbles are fresh, chewy and sweet. Their fruit flavored drinks are WAY too sweet. Even with less sugar. Think it's their syrup. Wasn't a big fan.... So, why not 5 stars? They messed up the orders a few times. Granted, it's when they are busy, but honestly there are normally 4 or even 5 people working there at times. Im going to rate this purely on value because the service was decent and it isnt much different anywhere else. I ordered a mango yakult drink with boba because I like to try new things, and this was the only place I saw offer a yakult boba drink. It was about $5. It was not a good deal. The drink was really watered down. Water was added in the beginning of the drink process and at the end of it. I have not tried a milk tea from them but I would not recommend getting a yakult drink. It is conveniently located in the mall though, so if you really want to get your tea fix and you are in the mall, this is the place to get it. Also the sign for deals are misleading, the current promotion says if you buy 2 of their promoted drinks, they will give you $10. Oh my goodness, my boyfriend and I came here to order two drinks to cool down on a hot day.... We requested that one of the drinks not be made as sweet...meaning slightly less sweet then the regular drinks. We received our order and they both were regular sweetness.... So we asked that the order be corrected to what we originally requested, so we got our corrected order and the one drink that was supposed to be less sweet was completely bland tea flavor..... So we asked her to add at least a little syrup and she did..... Ohhhh she did. The drink was undrinkable... Like a combo of 80% sugar and 20% milk tea So gross. At the point we didn't even bother going back to corrected, not only do they take a long time to complete the order but they all give off a very unhappy, unpleased vibe. I'm a regular at Quickly's and Kung Fu, but I strayed out of my comfort zone to try Coco. I have had it only once before and was not too impressed. This time, I ordered a Vanilla Bubble Tea. I was sipping my drink for maybe 30 seconds when I began sipping air. Confused, I looked at my drink. They had FILLED MY DRINK WITH ICE almost to the top, with less than an inch of air between the ice and the lid. We're talking like, 90% ICE, 10% DRINK. Now I know that bubble tea places use this strategy and you can ask for less ice in your drink, but IN WHAT WORLD is "regular ice" the whole flipping drink? I am extremely disappointed, as I feel like I was ripped off. Unfortunately my phone could not take pictures at the time, or you bet I would have posted it everywhere. Don't bother with this place - they don't care about the customers, and you can get bubble tea at Quickly's, Kung-fu, or Chatime for the SAME PRICE that tastes way better anyway. read more

I've tried a lot of different boba milk tea shops and I think this is by far the worst milk tea I have ever had. I ordered a classic bubble milk tea, something all milk tea shops should be able to get right. I ordered the Lava Pearl Latte and had a horrible experience. The drink did not taste like there was any sugar. After I went back to add some sugar, they told me they were closing and gave me regular syrup sugar. Also, they didn't even bother giving me the regular transparent lid where I can insert the bubble tea straw, instead I got the coffee lid which created a big inconvenience. How can I drink bubble tea with a coffee lid and the guy could not close the lid and left the cover open and gave it back to me. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I was extremely thirsty that day and craving for bubbles didn't help the situation neither. The small was $3.50 so I asked if I could up the size. Alas, they couldn't sell a larger cup size because it only comes in small? Someone should tell them that it is the same cups small or large. The only difference is how much stuff you put in. Their menu had an array of SMALL ONLY drinks and then LARGE ONLY drinks...the hell...Anyway I did not have the patience to have someone higher up explain to me how difficult it was to put mango and passion fruit in a larger cup and charge me as a large. I ordered the special that had going on called the "bubble gaga" or "something gaga" wasn't exactly in the mood to really recall the name honestly. I just wanted to get my drink and get out. The "bubble gaga" as it turns out was pretty good which is why I gave the 3 stars instead of the 2. Customer service is big in my book. My friends and I were exploring Flushing Chinatown, when one of them got super excited when they saw Coco. She mentioned how Coco was imported from Taiwan and so we ventured on in. The storefront was quite small, with no seating area. Their menu was very brief and included the staple variety of milk tea drinks. I went with the taro milk tea with egg pudding and it was so good! It actually had good tea flavor and the egg pudding was soft and fresh. I got a taste of their regular milk tea and that was equally refreshing. Service was quick and impersonal. Most bubble tea places are good. They are all have their specialized. What I like here the most is Green Tea shake with red beans.

Thirsty and needed a drink. The prices are okay but their dirty and unclean. The person making my drink used a dirty blender. They don't clean any of their equipment well. Just barely rinse the blender with still yellow liquid in the blender and she started making my drink. The equipment sink is next to the mop sink and when she's making my drink she had to push the broom stick left and right to get my drink done. Ah-May-Zing bubble tea. My absolute favorite is their Bubble Gaga. The drinks tend to be quite sweet so did enough trial and error to request the least amount of sugar and it's still sweet enough. It's one of my most favorite drink spots and favorite bubble tea chain. read more

I hope I'm reviewing the correct location. If it is this is my least favorite Coco spot. The other Coco located on main street by the subway station and burger king is a million times better. The one located inside Sky View across from Adidas I believe is very inconsistent. When I order the same drinks from the other location on main street its always good/taste is consistent. I don't expect the different Coco locations and workers to make the drinks exactly the same however it shouldn't taste drastically different or terrible. Also the staff at the sky view location is poorly trained and horrible attitudes when I questioned them one time about what they actually used to make my grapefruit green tea.
