    Iced Passion Fruit Green Tea

Refreshingly good passion fruit green tea drink with lychee jelly and 50% sweetened. Always a winner for me! Conveniently located downstairs at 7th and Fig food court

Delicious and refreshing! I stopped by CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice during lunch hour. I've always heard good things about their drinks, but I've never had the chance to try until now. This specific CoCo location is in the financial district of DTLA, in the same mall/plaza as Gold's Gym. Since I was craving something light and refreshing, I ordered the Tropical Special (50% sweet). It's basically a passion fruit tea with boba and coconut jelly. I'm not that big on coconut, but I thought that this drink was fantastic. The tea was just the right amount of sweetness, and the boba/coconut jelly combination added additional flavor and texture. The boba itself was solid - just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness. I loved it so much that I came back the next day and ordered the same thing. Highly recommend!

Overall: 4.3/5 We got a large 3 buddies which was ~$7.49. This differed from the menu they had posted which shows $6 for a large. They also ran out of boba so we replaced it with sago. The milk tea uses non-dairy creamer but it was pretty good for not using fresh milk. The toppings of egg pudding, sago, and grass jelly went really well together too. Satisfied my milk tea craving.

I ordered this mango slush. I added a coconut jelly but as you can see from the pictures. they didn't put any toppings to it but charged me.

Today July 18 around 5:48pm, I ordered first 2 drinks then added this mango slush. I added coconut jelly to it but as you can see, they didn't put any but charged me. Very very disappointed with the service. I was the only one there and the staff was not even in a hurry

I love me a good bubble tea! The locations for Coco are limited so whenever I am in the area it is a MUST. My usual is the Thai tea (or the mango slush with yogurt when I'm in the mood for something tropical). Ps. 7th and Fig plaza must have had a collective staff meeting because before it was rudeness everywhere you'd go and now everyone is so friendly!

    Lemon Dunk

We needed to get our parking validated so decided to get some boba. I ordered the Lemon Dunk ($6.57) with Boba. It only comes in a large size, but I can definitely see that the whole lemon that they stick inside the cup takes up half the cup, so it's definitely overpriced. Once I got towards the end of the drink it was also hard getting my straw around the lemon since it gets stuck to the bottom of the cup, so it got annoying to drink. As for the tea itself though, it was pretty good. The lemon taste is strong but it doesn't completely overpower the green tea that you can actually taste the tea through the drink. The boba could be cooked a little more since there was still a little bit of hardness in the middle but it still tasted good. The menu was super small, it looked like there were only like 10 items to choose from, with more than half of them that I couldn't have because I can't have dairy. I later looked online and saw that if you order online there's a more extensive menu but I didn't see anything like that at the front counter. The cashier was friendly and I had no problems with the service. They were patient as we looked over the menu trying to decide what to get, and my drink came out really fast. You can also adjust the amount of sweetness and ice that you want in your drink, so that's good that you can customize it. I wouldn't really go out of my way to get boba from here, but I would come back if I needed to get my parking validated again lol.

Fairly small store located in the 7th & Fig food court

Yum!! I came here to treat myself since I was at 7th & Fig anyway, and I honestly wasn't expecting too much from a boba shop located inside a food court. It's a little hidden (at least, I didn't notice it upon entering the food court), but it's directly across the entrance of the food court. I think the sign may have been hidden by a pillar, or I was just really oblivious...either way, it's definitely there! Ordering is similar to many boba stores: choose a drink and customize your ice/sugar levels and toppings. I ordered a large 2 Ladies, which comes with the boba and pudding - 50% sugar and regular ice. It was $5 (including tax, excluding tip) - if you're not too familiar with boba, this is a pretty standard price. The person taking my order was really patient while I tried to make up my mind, and the drink came out really quickly! The tea itself tasted pretty good - not too sweet, which I liked. The tapioca was really soft and chewy, and the pudding wasn't too firm or too gooey. I'd say this is a nice spot for anyone who's at 7th & Fig and is in the mood for a drink - boba or otherwise. Would definitely come back!

    Grapefruit green tea with sago...

Coco Fresh recently opened at 7th/Fig underground food court. Took months to open after seeing signs this place was to open months ago. It's good to see more and more tea/boba joints around. I'm kind of a fan of Coco Fresh but they're a tad bit more pricey than other tea spots. My go to here is the grapefruit jasmine green tea, half sugar, half ice. The service here isn't that great or helpful. A bunch of kids running the show here and the times that I've been here, very slow and little help behind the counter. Also, the menu isn't posted on any walls, though they do have a LED screen that shows daily specials. The only menu they have is one at the counter that is wet and sticky. Other than that, pretty a pretty convenient spot for tea.

Welcome CoCo's to Downtown LA. We finally have a boba tea place that is a reasonable price and not bad tasting. There are places around here that serve boba but they are either not good or way overpriced. Their deal right now is buy a drink and get a pudding milk tea for free. I am not sure when this deal will end so make your way over there. If you have been to other Coco's, their milk tea is super creamy and not too sweet. The pudding is silky smooth and delicious! I am happy that there is a location close by to my work now. If you are not working in Downtown, you will need to pay for parking... The location is at FIGat7th food court, located on the bottom floor. You will not miss it since you will see it at the center once you walk into the food court.

Tried the Grapefruit Green Tea. It was meh at best, which surprised me. Maybe I will try another flavor next time.

The franchised tea store is located inside the food court of fig at 7th, friendly service and inexpensive prices for regular and large cups. Tried the roasted milk tea and 2 ladies (milk tea with boba and pudding), light taste.

Boba wasn't really that great (a bit hard - not as soft/chewy as I've had at other places).

So I looked for a coffee spot closer to the restaurant at which I could do some work. Alibi Coffee is only 10-15 minutes from the restaurant, which made it a good candidate--and off I went. It sits on the corner of Washington and Raymond Avenue. While there's one-hour parking on Washington, Raymond seems to offer unlimited parking (other than street cleaning days)--the friendly, helpful barista directed me over there. Inside, it's a tranquil, clean and comfortable environment that mixes contemporary touches with brick industrial vibes. I'm in my cream top era, so I decided to get their Trademark Cream Top Latte, which uses cold brew and house made cream with a hint of brown sugar. The drink was smooth and not too sweet and, all in all, extremely enjoyable. Next time, I might try the Salted Caramel Cream Top Latte. I was warned it was a bit sweeter, but I'd like to see for myself. Wi-Fi seems solid, and there are plenty of outlets (yay!), so this was a great work spot. I'd definitely return anytime I needed to be in this area.

The pictures don't lie. It's got that clean, modern coffee shop aesthetic, but a few quirky touches keep it from feeling like every other minimalist café. There's a photo booth in the back (which I assume explains the name) and a display of sunglasses that I never quite figured out. Also, no bathroom code. Always appreciated. Neither of us usually orders einspanners, but my wife got the vanilla and I ordered the mocha, both iced with oat milk. They were excellent. Creamy and rich and the coffee underneath was tasty even before mixing in the cream. The pastries looked beautiful and artful, although I was hoping for something simple like an almond croissant. The vibe outside on the patio was great. Lots of people working on laptops, plenty of room to settle in, and it felt more like a co-working space than a typical coffee shop. It's also super dog-friendly, has ample parking in its own lot and we even found easy street parking out front. Everything about this place just worked. We'll gladly make the 25-minute drive again.

Parking can be a bitch as the shop is located in a small strip mall. They do offer valet, but it's kind of a nightmare. Stick to street parking and walk it over. There was a small line up extending outside the shop, but the line moved at a decent pace as the baristas cranked out matcha lattes and other drinks. The spot was pretty packed with people studying and enjoying their drinks. I have no idea how people can study in such a busy and noisy environment, but props to them for trying. Ended up getting the double matcha for myself and my friend got the strawberry matcha. We both added oat milk, which was an additional $0.75 each. The drinks came out fairly quickly and definitely lived up to the hype. The double matcha was creamy, silky, and had a good balance of bitterness and mild sweetness. The matcha cream made it stand out in a great way. Besides indoor seating, they also have a small wraparound sitting area outside the shop where you can enjoy your drinks. They also have some merch for sale including hats, totes, tshirts, and matcha peripherals. I didn't get any baked goods, but saw that they had various pastries including matcha cookies. Definitely will have to give those a try next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend if you're a matcha fiend or just want a nice after meal drink.
