First time at Philz Coffee, so I got the lowdown from the friendly cashier. They actually don't have any espresso or lattes. They specialize in pour overs and cold brews, and their signature drink is the mint mojito coffee. (There is no alcohol in it fyi, it's just a cheekily named mint cold brew) I ended up getting an oatmeal cinnamon cold brew and it was refreshing and delicious. The store itself is clean, spacious and has different seating options so you can come by yourself or with a friend. Saw some people working/studying and even chatting with each other while I was there, so that was nice to witness. Coffee shop culture is so back! Third spaces are so back! read more

Earlier this morning I stopped at this Philz Coffee and was greeted by 2 of their employees. They were both kind, sweet and helpful. I ordered their hot medium size Latte with Oat milk & whipped cream. I also had a toasted bagel with regular cream cheese. They have a lot of food and beverage items to choose from. From hot and cold beverages and same goes for food.. Food and my Latte were delicious. Place was lovely, nice, big and clean. I will return next time I am in the area. I sat at this Philz Coffee for a couple of hours while waiting for an event to start and I was so thankful for the space and the excellent coffee! We were warmly greeted upon entry and my drink was ready shortly after putting my order in with the cashier. Philz coffee is usually consistent across locations, and this location was no exception! The seats are comfortable and there is also a bathroom for customers which was pretty clean and well-maintained. Had a meeting in downtown and went out of my way to come and get my favorite iced tesora. Unfortunately, the barista said they were all out of their tesora beans.... Even at 7:30 am I was disappointed but nonetheless ordered something else. This location is clean but be mindful located right in DT parking is hard to come by. My coworker puts in an office group order 2-3 times per week. You would think that we would get enough. But nah it's addicting. Our order is always correct and hot/cold. You can sit in and enjoy your drink and food if you like, or take it to go. There's plenty of seats and tables. read more

rose latte - 10/10 service - 10/10 location - 7/10 heard a lot of great things about Philz Coffee so i was excited to try for the first time. i initially waltz in to try their banana brew but was disappointed to find out that they no longer had it :( . i observed the menu and their lovely employee helped me decide and gave some recs - i finally chose up on their Rose Latte. which, SERVED AND DELIVERED! i'm becoming more of a floral fan the more i experience it so i was excited to see it on the menu. i ordered it hot and it was ready in less than 5. it was mildly sweet, rose comes thru nicely with an earthy touch. it goes down smooth and its topped with subtle rose cream. whata combination. This review is coming from someone who doesn't actually drink Coffee, but I did order something and spend some time here. My wife and I stopped here a few weeks ago to sign the papers to sell our previous house. We came in around noon and the place was pretty busy, but the line moved pretty fast. My wife ordered whatever drink she ordered and I couldn't help but order the half chocolate chip cookie half, half Croissant. After fighting for some seats (not literally) we found a spot and I dug into the bad boy of baked goods. Now, I'll be completely honest here, I have no idea what I expected from this, but it is exactly what it looked like. It tasted like a chocolate chip cookie and a Croissant at the same time, you think I would have seen this coming. It was pretty solid, but not necessarily something I would seek out to order in the future. Overall, I'm giving this place three stars because the atmosphere here was cool, the music was great, and the baked good was solid. Can't get enough of their iced tiramisu. It still a treat even with less sugar. The iced mocha is alright, but definitely have to be with regular sugar. Service is pretty fast, and they will ask if the coffee is to your liking and if not they will adjust it for you. They have a few seat but doesn't look like a place to hang. My girlfriend went to the hope location to pickup coffee for herself and asked the workers for a vegan pastry, they pointed her towards the "Dusted chocolate flourless cookie" which was labeled vegan in their pastry display and was even reaffirmed it was in fact vegan after asking twice and confirming. It is recommended sweet and creamy, but I wanted to try the light version, and you could taste the coffee better this way (I tried my dining partner's sweet and creamy). Such a unique drink - loved! They do have various medium and dark blends but since it was my first time here I went with the safe route. Let me tell you the coffee didn't disappoint. First time trying Philz coffee. I decided to come early in the morning and there is free street parking before 8 am. I ordered on the app and decide to try the iced coffee rose. Even though it was a simple menu compared to the other coffee shops, this one has interesting flavors. At first I couldn't decide because there's a few I wanted to try, but the rose caught my eye. Even though the app said it would take 10 mins, my coffee was ready earlier than that. The barista was Queenie.. and I like how the barista signs the label on the coffee cup so it feels more personalized. The price is similar to other coffee shops, but the flavors are definitely different. I would come back to the other flavors. But parking will be a nightmare if later in the day. read more
