Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 This place located in the heart of downtown LA so ambiance could be better but it's really hard to maintain since what's going on around the area. Food wise is pretty solid. They have most of the selection of their bakery items. Drinks are also good. Parking could be hard depending on the time of the day.

I was thrilled that there was an 85 degree bakery walking distance from where I was staying. I love this chain and had not been in a while. Walking through the doors filled m with excitement as I was greeted with a view of oh so many baked treats. From oreo buns to cakes to savory rolls, the choices were endless and all delicious. I quickly made this my everyday breakfast spot and made an effort to sample as many flavors as I could. The items were all well baked, with soft and rich bread, and all the fillings were amazing, with the textures being perfect complementary. The interior was well organized and I love the self serve tray as it allowed me to have control (maybe too much) over my selections. The servers were very helpful and explained the hours and when the fresh selections would be available. I also was very impressed with the packaging, which was secure. Can't wait to try more!

This 85 location is actually the smallest one I've been to so the selections are less varied and there are no tables/seating. The parking is also horrendous with loading zones only but if you're here for something quick, it's not bad. I went here mainly bc I have craving egg tarts and a sea salt beverage which were decent! The service was alright, nice cashier and just people getting their work done. Recommendations: sea salt oolong tea might be the best out of their sea salt collection. The egg tarts aren't the BEST but it gets my cravings satisfied. Please don't come here if you're looking to park and sit!

I've been here over a handful of times since I work nearby. I appreciate the location. If I forget breakfast or am craving Asian bakery bread I can stop by before work or on my break. I like coming here for an afternoon pick me up for a tea drink if I don't feel like getting coffee. Can't go wrong with any of the breads that they have. Most recently I have tried the taro cheese roll. It was tasty.

A cashier that puts your change on the counter while your hand is out....rude Then just sat my drink on the counter top in mid motion and walked away....rude This has never been my experience previously, because if it was, I'd never return. I see "Vi" on my receipt, not sure if that's his naw or part of a reference number.

My new favorite bakery! Freshly baked, Excellent prices & unique flavors! Get here early because they sell out fast! This location is smaller with less of a selection but still worth stopping in! You will not be disappointed! Try some of my favorites: Garlic Herb Soft Bread Chocolate Chip Bun Bun Sweet Cream Cheese Bread Taro Mochi Boroh Roll

It was our first time in the place, everything taste good, but the guy making the drinks was rude when we asked him to confirm if it was our drinks

    Assorted sweet breads.

The downtown location is surprisingly clean and their baked goods and pastries are fresh. They appear to have a regular clientele who stops in on their way to work or class. On the weekdays anyway. They probably sell through their products faster maintaining their freshness. This is a takeout only location. No seating at all. Grab and go. It's nearby several downtown hotels, Sheraton, Hilton, Hotel Per La, as well as several colleges. Staff is friendly and efficient. They keep the location clean and tidy. I have observed them handling difficult people, who are not customers, but who walk in off of the streets, with grace and kindness when the situation needs to be addressed. This is a small, but mighty location. People who work, live, go to school or visit downtown L.A. are lucky to have it as a choice among several Starbucks. Parking is a challenge. Metered street parking and a few parking garages are available.

No way for someone in a wheelchair to access this establishment.

They have gone downhill. Quite is mediocre at best Also they have been in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act for the greater part of the year, gating off the only handicap entrance, w I th no plans to rectify.

Everything was okay, typically 85 degree service with picking out breads and sweets. This location in dtla is a grab and go type 85 degrees, there are not seats inside. Anyways, the reason for my 1 star is my Vietnamese coffee, See my photo. They must've thought I ordered ice with a small splash of Vietnamese coffee for some flavor. Their drinks are usually good but don't get their Vietnamese coffee

Classic Taiwanese bakery offering fluffy sweet and savory buns and drinks like bubble tea. My favorite is the taro of course. Recommendation that if you have a particular item you want, go earlier in the day.

Staying in DTLA on a budget requires a stop at 85°C Bakery. That, and I knew I would make half of my Instagram followers jealous. Picked up about 8 pastries, in addition to an iced Vietnamese coffee at the counter. My favorite pastry has always been the blueberry cream cheese brioche! Everything is $2-5 each, which is a great option when you don't want to leave your hotel every time you're hungry. Customer service was fantastic. They're always whipping out fresh pastries, and even though this is a smaller locations it's just as well stocked with sweet and savory options. Been a few years since I've been to 85°C, and it did not disappoint.

We were on our way to Whole Foods but stopped by since it was on the way. The store is small and has a tiny selection of bread compared to other 85 C Bakery stores we've been in at the Bay Area. They had a buy 3 get 1 free bread promotion & some seasonal items at the time so we decided to take advantage of it. Aussie Meat Pie ($3.10): I wasn't sure what to expect but it wasn't bad. I thought the meat would be full of umami & salty but the meat marinade was pretty light. Premium Milk Bread ($2.50): This is a good palette cleanser for me so I take a bite after a meal to satisfy my sweet tooth. The bread is really soft and would probably be really good to dip in some condensed milk. Cheese Dog ($2.50): One of our go to items here. We love eating this as a savory snack. Taiwanese Boroh ($1.85): I am a sucker for the beautiful textured look but forget how plain tasting it actually is so skip on this if you want to make the most out of your carb intake! Egg Tart Box ($4.45 for 2): These were good but not as great as I remember they used to be. Mango Coconut ($5.15): Oh. My. Goodness. We loved the mango smoothie here but this blows the other one out of the waters. It's super refreshing, sweet, delicious, & comes with real mango pieces that are ripened This is a must try! Taro Lavender Latte Light Ice ($5.05): This is also a new drink that was pretty good but it doesn't compare to the mango coconut. This latte is lighter in flavor so there's no burst of sweetness or refreshness after drinking it.

I recently decided to place a DoorDash pickup order so I could swing by and browse while waiting for my food. The only minor downside during my visit was the lack of customer service when I arrived. I wasn't greeted, and it felt a bit awkward standing there for a moment while both employees were preoccupied almost like I was maybe being avoided.. one was restocking pastries and the other calling out a drink order. As someone who works in the service industry, I completely understand how hectic things can get and how easy it is to be focused on tasks when you're busy. I'm also a pretty patient person and can read the room, but a quick acknowledgment would've gone a long way. Other than that brief moment, I really have no complaints. If it weren't for that slightly awkward interaction, this easily would have been a 5-star visit. While waiting for my order to be warmed up, I took some time to browse their beautiful display of pastries and cakes. Everything looked so good that it definitely convinced me I need to come back soon to try a few. For this visit, I ordered the sourdough turkey melt, which came with turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It was really good--filling, flavorful, and something I'd definitely order again. The sourdough bread was soft and tasted fresh, which I really appreciated. The space itself is also pretty nice inside and feels like a chill spot to sit down for lunch, so next time I might actually dine in instead of taking my order to go. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu soon!

Each piece features smooth, sculptural finishes, layered flavors, and seasonal components--elegant in appearance and delicate in texture." Each cake serves one and is 2.75" in size. Love that there were mini versions of these mousse cakes. All of the glazes were done well and the cakes were moist. Earl Grey Strawberry - Light Earl Grey and strawberry flavor. However, I prefer the Jasmine and Strawberry combo. The Earl Grey Strawberry combo did not taste harmonious like the Jasmine Strawberry. The glaze is beautiful. Not only aethetically-pleasing, but the light jelly-like consistency, creamy and smooth glaze brings a beautiful texture. The cake is moist, but you mostly get the glaze. It is a mini-cake, but you can taste everything in one bite. It is small enough where you can eat it by yourself or share with someone if you want half. Sobacha - Good nutty flavor of sobacha, buttery flavor at the end. Yet still light texturally. Overall beautifully done! Hojicha - Beautiful, strong hojicha flavor. Any hojicha lover would love this! Espresso Cookie Butter - Really good strong flavors of the biscoff. But did not detect nor taste any espresso flavor anywhere. Matcha - Light in matcha flavor. Vanilla sponge cake. Buttery flavor at the end. Chocolate Black Sesame - Very strong black sesame flavor. Has a caramel layer between. Buttery, nutty deliciousness! However, I prefer the signature cake slab version. Favorites: Espresso Cookie Butter, Hojicha, Chocolate Black Sesame. SIGNATURE CAKE SLABS Taken from Dōmi website: "Cake Slabs are sliced portions of our signature whipped ganache cakes, crafted for effortless enjoyment without compromising on quality. Each slab features soft, balanced layers finished with light whipped ganache made using Valrhona chocolates--refined, indulgent, and true to our fine-dining-inspired approach to cake." Before consuming always bring to room temperature or the swiss meringue buttercream will be hard and the cake will be a bit more dense. Yuzu - Very good yuzu curd with light tartness and sweetness in balance. Creamy buttercream. Vanilla cake was soft and moist. London Fog Birthday - Love the overall look! Moist vanilla cake. Light Earl Grey flavor in cake. Vanilla buttercream is thick and creamy. Overall tastes like light Earl Grey. Love the rainbow sprinkles throughout the cake! Chocolate Black Sesame - The black sesame whipped ganache and vanilla buttercream is so good! Moist, rich cocoa cake. Not dense like the last time I've tried it. The thin layer of caramel between the cocoa cake really brings the nutty black sesame and buttery caramel flavors together. Without the dark, buttery caramel flavor, this cake would not be as fantastic as it should! The cocoa cake was slightly dry when eaten separately, but with the buttercream, I could not tell and it was delicious! Hazelnut Blood Orange - Tasted a bit of hazelnut flavor. Cannot detect the blood orange. Had to double check my order to see if I got the right cake. Can only taste cocoa cake. A little bit of deep tea flavor or caramel. Hard to detect. Some kind of dried yuzu or blood orange peel on top. It was a bit hard and unpleasant to chew on. This was my least favorite. Favorites: Chocolate Black Sesame, London Fog Birthday. I'm glad I've got to try both types of cakes, but I love the signature cake slabs! The marbleization design of the cake was stunningly beautiful and the flavor was robust in Japanese Hochija tea flavor - just how I like it. The mousse part is where the Hojicha flavor is at and the texture was nice and smooth. I liked that it was not too sweet. The base is a thin layer of dark cocoa cake, which contrasted the Hojicha perfectly. Chocolatey and roasted tea flavor ... just warms my heart and soul.
