I always get there taco salad with beans and it's delicious. I recommend going there and pairing your meal with some drinks. They are priced well and they always taste excellent. I have never had a problem there really. Either you have really quick service or it's slow. I've never had in between. Recommend for sure. read more

Sparkling clean restaurant with attentive and professional staff. The food was wonderful! Excellent quality, beautifully presented meal. The seafood chimichanga I ordered was fried to perfection just like the menu says, and covered in white sauce, just like the menu says. The rice was fresh, the beans tasted great, and I think I tasted fresh lime and cilantro. Yum! Incredible! Like another reviewer wrote, I like this location better. They do not accept card payments over the phone. This would be very helpful in placing orders that are being picked up by someone else. We had a rather large order from the hospital that a family member was picking up and they couldn't take our payment over the phone. read more

Food is delicious. My wife and I have patronized this establishment for about 5 years now. We love their food. But, since the Covid19 outbreak, the carry out service is terrible. Twice they charged for pop but didn't give us any. They said they don't have carryout soda yet it is on the online menu and you are able to select it. Twice in a row we have arrived a little early to pickup our food, announced who we were and that we were there to pickup our carry out order. Both times they took a look at the orders that were already there on the table and overlooked our order. Ten minutes goes by and we ask where our order is. It was the last one sitting on the table. It was also the one that was there when we arrived. The last time this happened two different waiters looked at the tag on our food but didn't give it to us. When we complained about it they acted as if they didn't care. Thankfully there is another restaurant with similar food in town. read more

Even though this restaurant is a drive from where I live, it is worth it. The decor is amazing, very colourful. Has live music sometimes. Food is as good as it is going to get in Michigan - pretty impressed compared to other Mexican restaurants in this region. read more

We ordered food to pick up. Not only did they take longer to get our order ready but they also messed it up in multiple ways. They did not send us part of our appetizer and they also put toppings on they were not supposed to. I ordered the nachos and couldn't even eat them because they were soaking wet and disgusting. I think they put a lot of money into renovating the place and also for the live music I guess they have now, and have to pay for it somehow. Went here with colleagues a couple of weeks ago. I used to really like this place, but they must have changed cooks. The dish I had was very bland, not much flavor really at all. It was strange to taste MEXICAN food, that I just assumed would be spicy, and it so definitely wasn't. I liked it better when it was called El Mexicano. The food was more authentic. How dare you call this a Mexican restaurant? Their menu is false advertisement, they don't really sell Jarrito products. Their entire menu is English using terms such as "Mexican rice" and "ground beef" so you know it's not authentic. I would leave less than this but it is NOT available. My bill for 3 people was $65.00 plus tip, the girl couldn't even put salt on the rim of our margarita. Our food took over an hour to get and no one was in the place. The restaurant was empty and now I know why- the service sucks !!!! We had to take the food to go after an hour of waiting for it because we were going to a baseball game. I had asked the owner to call me time and time again before I wrote this, but that never happened. This place service is disgracefull and I will never walk inside another COCO LOCO ever. Coco Loco is my favorite Tex-Mex place in town. The decor is great; colorful. Lime margaritas are usually always on special and they taste great! They have a full stock of imported Mexican beers and liquors. My go to meal are the cheese enchiladas. Please eat here! read more

Wrote a review last June--four stars. Had eaten here at least once a month since. But today, I submit this: Just had dinner less than a week ago. Went back for lunch today--6 days later, as we love(d) the place! My wife has a dairy allergy and was very specific--only chicken, lettuce, pico--as she always does. Was rung up that way on the receipt. 1/2 way though, my wife tasted cheese...Dug deeper to see more (white) cheese mixed in. Waiter called over the manager. Manager said, "you needed to tell the waiter". SHE DID. Didn't even offer to take a drink off the bill, let alone the food that will now cause my wife pain for the next day or two. The manager's flippant attitude, lack of apology and inability to correct the issue means we're NEVER going back. Accidents happen, but their lack of apology, concern and shortsightedness means we're done, there are lots of other Mexican options in Saginaw. read more

I had huevos rancheros; presented well on dinner plate, tasted good and were served with homemade flour tortillas.
