Hands down the best restaurant in Saginaw. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was extremely flavorful! The mimosa were delicious and the perfect mixture of champagne and juice. The service was top notch. Our waitress made sure to check on us multiple times during our meal. The live music was a very nice touch. The owner Lonnie was the sweetest. Being from California it's nice to meet someone else who is from California. She gave us some restaurant recommendations to try. And every Wednesday the restaurants profits gets donated to non profit organizations. Make sure to stop by the restaurant. Came on a Friday night for date night. Besides a few hiccups I would come again! The environment felt both casual and slightly elevated. The staff were friendly and professional. Despite it being Friday night I was surprised we were the only ones there after 8pm. We ordered mussels, chicken parm, and their hot bacon spinach salad. The reason for the four star was because they were out of pork cutlets, spaghetti squashes, and sangria. With already a pretty limited menu, that made the menu even smaller to only like a couple entrees. There was an issue with my husband's chicken parm but once we brought it up the staff and cooks were super apologetic, professional, and addressed it right away. I was really humbled and blown away by their service. We generally aren't complainers so I felt bad but the way they handled the situation was so warm and prompt that it made me feel like we were well taken care of and definitely will consider coming back. My recommendation for this place: make a reservation, confirm it, and show up! I discovered this gem on my way back from a Sunday day trip to Midland and lucked into being seated for brunch. The staff made me feel like I was being cared for lovingly by my dear mother but being cooked for by a creative five star chef in New York, or even Tokyo. The decor is interesting and the other diners eclectic (they have only 10 tables). Unbelievably amazing food, service, and atmosphere! My highest praise. I wish we could give this place more than five stars. It was our second time dining in a matter of months and artesian urban bistro never disappoints. Started with the ricotta toast and then ordered lemon curd crêpes, the meaty breakfast pizza, and the blue plate pasta. The food is so flavorful and each dish exceeded our expectations. The server, Emily is truly one in 1 million. Her service was flawless in every aspect and a true delight to be around. When leaving, we realized our battery was dead in our car. Emily came to the rescue with jumper cables and the owner was kind enough to use her own vehicle to help us jump ours. She even offered to take us to Sam's club when we weren't sure if the battery was going to charge. We cannot wait to return on our next trip downstate! read more

Artisan!) made a special accommodation for us if we promised to eat fast. The food was exquisite: artisan is an apt name! Everything we ordered was delicious: feta cheese appetizer was fresh and hot and served with ample time to enjoy before the main course came out. The Jaeger Schnitzel was perfectly seasoned and juicy and the Spaetzel that accompanied it was delicious . Great find! Don't miss this little gem in old town Saginaw. Staff are friendly, the place is charming, the food delicious, and the owners are lovely and very involved. My husband has the jaegerschnitzel which was delish and I had the spaghetti squash with veggies and shrimp and feta. Fabulous and very healthy. The house Pinot Grigio was a delight and the beer from the great brewpub next door was very welcomed by my husband. The service was very good, but this Place needs to get some new booths and paint the interior to make it more inviting. I got the special of the day (Perch), two bites and that was it. The fish was fishy tasting, and my french-fries were soft and my friend's dish was tasteless. Needless to say, we will not be going back. Decent place in downtown Saginaw to eat. Appetizers were good, we had the drunken mushroom, calamari , bruschetta and fries. I really loved the fries with the gravy. I had the salmon, it was very good. The table also got the pork, pasta and the chicken pot pie. My mom, who had the pot pie ate all of it and said it was excellent. Wish they had more of a drink selection and more info about what wines they were serving. They were also connected to a brewery that you could get sealed beers to bring in if you want. It's a very good place besides the lack of drink selection I would say it took a very long time to get our food. I realize it's a small space with limited cooking space, we were easily that for over 2 hours. We were in no rush so it wasn't a big deal, but I could see how that may be an issue for others. read more

came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend, booked a 6:30pm reservation on saturday around 3:30pm, and was very thankful to get such a good time. we ordered some pinot grig (delicious and intoxicating), the calamari (salty in a good way), chicken parm, and the lonnie's special pasta of the week (a garlic cream sauce with broccoli, asparagus, and added chicken) the pasta was probably the best I've ever had in my life, I loved the unique shape, long & thick noodles, and they were cooked perfectly. my bf said the same about his chicken parm. the portion size was great but I could've eaten double that, honestly. the vegetables were garlicky and delicious. the butter for the bread was delectable, and the staff was very nice. It was just over $100 with tip, which is a lot for me but I was happy to do it for a nice date at a beautiful little place. I only wish we got dessert!! read more
