Great spot to grab picky tapas style apps/small plates. Outdoor bar is nice for fresh air and the interior is beautifully designed. Very cute restaurant for a catch up date w/friends or a social spot to meet after shopping down assembly row. Bartender was friendly & recommend these few appetizers to us.

Cocolee is a new spot in Assembly Row located next to the river and park area. We stopped by on a weeknight with a pretty large group and the staff was really friendly and accommodating! We ordered drinks and appetizers to share including the dumplings, egg rolls, and crab ragoons. Everything was really good, but my favorite was definitely the crab rangoons. They also have a few mocktail options that were great like the Hi, Barbie. I wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger for the price, but overall a fun spot to check out. They do have some indoor seating, but I recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice!

Surprisingly great addition to Assembly row area. They have completely transformed the former bar into a chic, cute, insta worthy restaurant. The food and vibes are both on point! The staff is very friendly. They have a pretty decent menu with lots of options. We ordered a plate of dumplings each and shared cucumber and papaya salad. Surprisingly the appetizers / small plates were larger than expected! The only thing is that if I were a vegetarian I wouldn't be fully satisfied with the menu. But overall, decent menu, great tasting food, and immaculate vibes. Will definitely be back!

Love that there's a new outdoor vibey restaurant in the assembly row area that you can enjoy with a nice view. This review is based of drinks mostly since I arrived after 10 and the kitchen was closed which was no biggie, I knew that beforehand from their website. So we ordered 4 drinks total which was Cocolee, sleeping with sirens, da nang, jungle bird and we personally liked them. They were not too strong or to sweet and it was just right, my boyfriend really enjoyed Cocolee the best out of the 4 because of the toasted coconut on top. We would consider going back for food next time we're in the area just to try it out but it would be a nice spot to Kindof relax after a long day of shopping !

Really good food!!! The spare ribs and gyudon were particularly exceptional, but everything hit. Drinks were also solid. Our only complaint was that the food was incredibly slow to come out, literally like 45 minutes, which was particularly surprising at lunch. They just opened and I'm sure are still figuring things out. I'd definitely come back again! Just not when I'm in a hurry lol.

The decor here is absolutely stunning -- from the vibrant tiki bar to the gorgeous river view, it's definitely a vibe. We tried their mocktails and let rhe bartender surprised us, which were light and refreshing, perfect for a hot day. The dumplings were tasty but arrived lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing. Skip the Singaporean noodles -- the pork didn't taste like char siu at all (despite what the menu says), and the dish overall lacked flavor. Great spot for ambiance, but the food could use some consistency.

Cocolee is a great addition to Assembly Row. The food/drinks were great and the service was wonderful. I loved the ambiance outside. The heaters on the porch kept us at a very comfortable temperature as well as the fire pit to enjoy. We got the spare ribs, scallion pancakes, crab Rangoon and chicken karaage. All were incredible and we will definitely be back!

Tried out this new outdoor bar/restaurant in assembly row for the first time and was not super impressed. Upon arriving, I noticed that they had some great decor here. The outdoor bar area seems very enjoyable for a night out with friends and the interior decor was quite pretty and well placed. We ordered an assortment of appetizers for five people just for snacking on. My favorite was definitely the blue crab rangoons because they didn't not seem that oily or over-fried and the crab filling was light and yummy. I also loved the topping of real crab, which wrapped up my bite well. I also liked the shark fin dumplings, which was a vegetable dumpling wrapped with a thin rice-paper like wrapper. The two salads we got were good, but lacking in flavor for me. I'm not sure if this is what they were going for, but I wasn't very impressed with what we ordered. Lastly, the cucumber salad was the most disappointing since it absolutely tasted like they just sliced some cucumber and put a store bought chili oil on top. Maybe we will have to come back and try more of their menu, but I wasn't very wowed during my first visit.

Came here during opening week and love what they've done with the space. Cocktails were the highlight. Tried a few of their dishes and while they are still working out some kinks, we will be back as they settle in. Our bartenders Oscar and Thomas were lovely.

A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. Loved the decoration, it was black interior with red lighting and interesting seating arrangement with tables down the middles and plants around. The bartender was great, he was so patient even with how busy it was making sure to always check up. For food, the Goi Ca/Fluke was so good. It was flavorful and the texture. The peanut butter sauce wasn't too nutty and went so well with the fish. I ate every little piece up. We also ordered the Wagyu Viet Carpaccio which was also good. We ordered quickly after perusing the (rather short) menu, most of which was either small plates and cocktails . Our first plate was the hainan chicken arancini. I really liked the contrast in textures between the crispy exterior and the tender chicken and rice mix on the inside. Overall flavour was not bad, too, but I'm not sure that it was exactly good enough to merit the price point of $18. Next was the Xi'an street noodles, which was probably my favourite dish of the meal. The noodles were very well cooked - chewy but not too soft - and I loved the sauce, with the gentle peanut aroma on top of the various spices they used. One comment was that the chilli crisp, which was tasty, was very lacking (in amount) and as a consequence the dish was really not spicy at all. Finally we had the chilli crisp buffalo chicken. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chicken was boneless (I was expecting something more like chicken wings), which made for very clean eating :) The buffalo sauce was nice (and perhaps a bit spicier than the aforementioned chilli crisp) and the chicken itself was very rich and juicy. Portion size was quite large too and overall I was very happy with this plate. For drinks we ordered the Jaded, which was a fun matcha-themed cocktail (even the marshmallow was matcha-flavoured) and a (spirit-free) cranberry limeade, which was surprisingly refreshing and sweet. Overall a yummy meal, but definitely very expensive. I would be interested to try some more of their cocktails, which seem very creative, but I'm not sure if I would be keen to come again primarily for the food. (To be fair, though, this is often the modus operandi of these restaurants that specialise in small plates and drinks )

It was such a cute hidden area, and I was already excited before we even got to the place. We headed upstairs into the bar, and the vibe was perfect. It's small, cozy, dimly lit, with vibey music playing. Since it was our first time, we were a little confused at first, but the waiter was super kind and walked us through everything. I ordered the Elly the Elephant and my friend got the Laughing Gull, and we both really enjoyed our drinks. One thing I thought was really nice is that they allow you to grab food from the surrounding restaurants and bring it in to eat there. We didn't end up doing that, but we did get the charcuterie board they had. It came with cheeses, crackers, and some fruit, and you can add meats for $10, which we opted out for. I will say I was a little disappointed by the fruit portion. The menu mentioned fresh fruit, so I expected more than three thin orange slices and one sliced strawberry. HOWEVER, when I asked for more strawberries, our waiter kindly brought out a whole bowl for me, which I really appreciated. We stayed for about two hours, and as the night went on the place definitely got more crowded, so we headed out. Overall, this is such a cute and cozy cocktail bar. I'll definitely be back when the weather is warmer to try the other drinks and restaurants in the market.

This was our first time at Viale and restaurant week is always a good way to try somewhere new. Unfortunately our party of 3 all agreed Viale was a miss, especially for the price point. I ordered the salmon crudo, swordfish, and tiramisu. The salmon in the crudo was fresh as was the avocado, but it felt bland and like it was missing multiple ingredients - salt? Citrus? My friend said the sauce with the fried cauliflower she ordered didn't pair well with the cauliflower. The mains were the strong point of the meal - my swordfish was cooked well but still felt like it was missing something and I desperately wanted to ask for a lemon wedge but didn't get the opportunity to. My friend said her chicken parm was very good and my other friend said her crab risotto was decent and better than the salmon crudo. However, the desserts were once again disappointing like the starters. The lemon cheesecake was OK and the berry compote was my friend's favorite part - she ate that and left the rest. My friend's panna cotta was bland and the hazelnuts on it tasted stale or not prepared properly. My tiramisu was soggy and barely had the cream layer - sadly one of the worst tiramisus I've ever had at a formal dining restaurant. The service was a little slow but overall very good. Our server Marcelo was very good at checking in and keeping our water glasses full. There was complimentary bread which I really appreciated while waiting for the dishes. The ambiance was nice! We chose to sit inside for the AC, but I wish we'd chosen to sit outside because the inside was a little loud and we were struggling to hear at some points. This got better later in the evening when the restaurant was less full. All in all, it was an interesting experience. But the disappointing food means I won't be back and couldn't give this place more than 3 stars, especially when there are plenty of other restaurants in the Central area to try that can probably do better.
