One of my favorite restaurants in Ferndale. I love this place, and I should go here more often. The food is always good, the staff are friendly, its just a great little pizza place. The pizza, not like those other thin pizzas that you might get at other places, these pizzas are loaded with flavor. My favorite pizza is the Big Kahuna, and the the King Mahalo sandwich is my favorite sandwich at Coconut Kennys. The pulled pork sandwich is also amazing. Depending on your appetite, you may want to split the sandwich with someone. Certainly one of the top 3 restaurants in the city of Ferndale. read more

The food quality has been decreasing over the last few months based on food price it should be MUCH better. Pulled pork sandwich was dry with burnt bread and the two $20.00 pizzas had the same amount of toppings as a $5 frozen pizza. $60.00 for crappy food in a small town is pitiful. We were headed up to do some fishing in Vancouver and hit up Coconut Kenny's for dinner. It was a very unique setting trying to bridge the gap of Beachlife and Pizza parlor. We ordered two different pizzas, but received two of the same. They were very apologetic for the error and said that they would cook up another one right away to correct the issue, but we could have all three. Being that we were on the road traveling, we declined their offer. They went out of their way to make sure the remainder of our dinning experience was exceptional. I love Coconut Kenny's! The pizza is great. They also have sandwiches which I haven't tried yet because I love pizza too much lol. I'm sure they are great as well. Always have great service here. They goofed on our order once, an honest mistake so they gave us a coupon for a free pizza any size for next time. I heard people complaining about no sound on the one TV they had playing sports on. But this is a nice family place, not a sports bar. read more

We have been looking for some great pizza since Boston Pizza closed. We ordered online and had the curbside pickup. It was one of the best pizzas that I have ever had. The best thing I can say about Coconut Kenny's is that the portion sizes are extremely generous and prices are pretty good. You will NEVER walk away hungry, which is definitely important. However, overall, our Coconut Kenny's experiences have been rather lackluster. Not bad, mind you, just... so-so. The food is all good, but in a very heavy, feel-like-a-total-pig sort of way. I tried their King Mahalo Sandwich (voted top 5 in Whatcom county), and it was so huge and messy that it was hard to eat. The sauce tasted great, but I would not have put it in the top 5. The pizza is definitely king at Coconut Kenny's, go for it when visiting here. We don't recommend the sweets. We got the Cinnamon balls once and they basically seemed like dinner rolls covered in butter then sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. As soon as they started cooling they turned to stone. The service has been alright, but nothing special. Maybe a little better than your average fast-food experience. Establishment has been pretty clean, save for one time at the Ferndale location when we came just before lunch and over half the tables were filthy and un-bussed. The theme is fun, but overall we just don't understand the hype. Our friends talk about it likes its the best place in the county, but our experience just doesn't support it. read more

Great Pizza, Good Happy Hour Value Stopped by last Saturday at 3 when Happy Hour (M-S:3-5) just started. Cheese Balls with bacon were so good that my son wants to try to make them at home - unfortunately we live an hour away from the nearest Kenny's. Also ordered the Waikiki and Spicy Islander pizzas, which again, everybody liked both pizzas. I enjoyed my Chocolate Porter and my wife her Watermelon Cider. Employees were polite and attentive. Wait was short, but there were only about 5 other groups in there when we were there (early dinner). Will definitely eat here again when we are back in the area! read more

Great food - usually. Got the volcano pizza and it was nasty. I love siracha and jalapeños. This had some kind of mustard on it and was basically inedible. Expressed it to the staff and she basically said nope, no mustard. Anyway - pry not going back because they made no effort to make it better. Bummer on the poor service. read more

Showed up at that time, and still had time to download the Yelp app(1 bar of cell service), set up an account and write this review. We are now over half an hour from the time I ordered. I'm not sure about the reviews but I was SORELY disappointed in Coconut Kenny's. Ordering at the counter is one thing but having to pay up front for dine in isn't a plus for me. I asked what kind of crusts I had for options and there are two...deep dish and gluten free in large only. I ordered a small All Meat with jalapeños and a Kulshan Amber--I tipped $5 which brought the check to $23 and some change. I took a seat and waited. A couple ordered the Nachos and they looked DIVINE so I was hopeful my pizza would look just as tasty. My hopes were dashed with a SMALL 4 slice deep dish pizza slightly burned was set before me. Who only offers deep dish or gluten free crust? I must have missed the pics of the small personal size pizzas because that was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. A small pizza is usually 6 slices, a medium 8 and a large 10. Now back to pay up front...what if I wanted another beer? I wasn't offered that option either. I made the one I had last..I didn't get the water I ordered and no one checked on me until it was time to bus tables. If a restaurant is going to offer dine in, an you're NOT classified as "Fast Food" servers need to be available. The sauce could have tasted better but I'll never know because there wasn't much of it. The meat was acceptable flavor but overall...total disappointment. read more

If you haven't tried one of these places you have to try it the food is great. The sandwiches are awesome the BBQ pulled pork is two meals for me it is so big. I haven't tried all the sandwiches but the ones I have are all good. The pizzas are big with a lot of toppings and the crust is great. There is a pretty big variety so again I haven't tried them all but haven't been disappointed in any I have tried. One that I thought people were crazy until I tried it was the macaroni and cheese with bacon and BBQ sauce on it. It is actually really good one we have had multiple times. You also need to try the cheesy balls they are worth it. You are going to bring some food home anyway so give the palate a little treat. They are covered in cheese and cooked perfect. I like the meatballs too but others in the family aren't as excited about them as I am. I think they just like the cheesy balls better. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is helpful. Like I said if you haven't tried them it is a good place to take the family for an affordable meal with enough variety to please most people. read more

This was my first time in this place. I love thier Bellingham shop and have gone many times. This was a special occation as i had my grandaughter with me. We ordered and waited a good 20 minuets for our food. They brought my sandwitch but failed to bring my g-daughters pizza. The sandwitch was delicious but who wants to be the only one eating at a table? My grandaughter went to the register to ask where her food was and the waitress says, "oh, it didnt cook right, sorry. I ment to tell you." They did refund the portion of the bill that was her pizza but made her pay for the soft drink she had while waiting. Will we go back? NOT. Great lunch stop ! We stopped in after a long wait at the U.S. border and were very hungry! My hubby enjoyed his Maui Cheesesteak sandwich and our little kids enjoyed the cheese rolls. Generous portions overall. Very reasonably priced. My salad was tasty and very filling as well. The only downside were the nachos. The cheese was rather tough and the chips didn't taste very good. Service was fast and friendly. Great fun, clean, family atmosphere. Located in strip mall so plenty of space to park our camper. Extra bonus! read more

The drunken nachos used to be amazing. I just waited 20 minutes for an order of drunken nachos and it was a terrible idea. These used to be so delicious. I got a brick of overcooked chips and ingredients with sides of queso, salsa, and sour cream. Even with all of these things on top, it was still a brick of overcooked junk. ooooh yes! Such good food. Whether it's their sandwiches or pizzas, they load them full of goodness and they are wonderful! I am also a huge fan of the atmosphere.
