I just wanna start off by saying that the salon is super clean. I was able to call and make a same-day appointment. As you can see from the pictures, I took my daughter and my niece. The staff was very kind and accommodating. I saw Dalena I'm not a huge nail person, but wanted to try builder gel with a small tip. Well, I feel like the process takes a while. I'm happy to sit there and have have it take time in a rush job. This is my first time with builder gels. I'll definitely be back. I do love that. The refills won't be as long, but if you're looking to try something different look out for Dalena she paid close attention to detail. The place was packed. They have a lot of of employees though. It's not a tourist area I was told, but I would definitely make the drive to go there versus the tourist area and the price was fair. read more

When the place first opened it had its kinks to work out. But I've continued coming here and have found my favorite people for different services. Dip- Joann, Son, or Emily are my go to's. They all do a great job. I always get complemented on my nails too, especially the chrome! Pedicure- Tom is fabulous! Amazing foot massages and my toes always look great. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel like people should know about my experience. I went to this salon for the first time to get a dip powder fill, which normally costs me around $40. During my appointment, the technician recommended switching to liquid gel instead, explaining that it was a new, non-toxic, more durable, and would last longer. Trusting her recommendation, I agreed, even though it increased my service to $65 (before tip). Unfortunately, less than 24 hours later, one of my nails completely popped off. To make matters worse, it happened the day I was leaving for vacation. Since I didn't have time to return to the salon, I had to stop at Walgreens and buy nail glue just to get through my trip. While I was on vacation, I called the salon to explain what had happened. They told me I would need to wait until I returned so the owner could assess the nails. During my vacation, another nail popped off, and several of the remaining nails began lifting as well, just in a matter of one week. When I returned, the owner initially seemed understanding and told me he would take care of it. However, while he was fixing my nails, he informed me there would be a $20 charge. I couldn't believe I was being asked to pay more after spending $25 extra to upgrade to a service that failed the very next day. After about 10 minutes of explaining why I felt I shouldn't have to pay and should receive some sort of refund, he finally offered me a $10 store credit--not a refund, but a credit toward a future visit. The most disappointing part wasn't even the nails--it was how the situation was handled. A quality business stands behind its work, especially when a service fails almost immediately. Instead of making things right, I was expected to pay even more and was only offered a small credit after arguing my case. To top it all off, after everything that happened, the owner asked me to leave him a tip. Lol. I love Cocoon Urban Nails! I've been going to cocoon for three years now, and I have never had a bad experience. Everyone is so friendly and caring towards the customers, and make it such a relaxing experience! The various different seasonal pedicures are so amazing and a great price for how much you get! There is such a huge selection in colors, and there isn't a design I brought there that they couldn't do! The nail salon is decorated so well, and has such a nice atmosphere! Love coming here for pedicures. I drive 45mins to come here vs all the other nearby newer salons. Specially because of the Hands & Stone and Ice Cream next door. I always come out of other salons with scaly heels, but my feet stay smooth after getting pedicures here. The staff are always friendly and able. I decided to write a review today because I adore the new receptionist who was working on 1/4. You never know how much you can communicate due to the language barrier of the employees, but she made sure we were heard and came by in the middle of our service to check up on us. When she sat us, She changed one of the TVs to sports for my husband who I drag to the salon, so that was pretty special to us. Its not a quiet place most times, but the service is great, and at the end of the day, a great massage & pedicure is all i want. Minutes from Disney's back door and located near 429, this location offers a large set of pedicure and manicure seats. My wife and I came today for a celebration gift to one another, which we both got pedicures together. The staff was friendly, they tend to talk amongst themselves as we (customers) talk amongst ourselves. The menu for options is typical from other places, I got the "volcano" pedicure while my wife got the "collagen" pedicure. Both offered massages but the volcano offer an extended foot and leg massage. This location was busy on Sunday Overton but also had plenty of seats and staff available for last-minute booking. My one gripe is the charge a 2% processing fee for the use of credit cards and I can't recall seeing a sign stating this, loss of one star for this but overall a great place. read more

I've had my nails done here several times and overall a good experience. Very nice employees. My issue is solely with "the Boss" as he calls himself. He is very rude and purposely goes out of his way to ruin your visit. He really goes out of his way to be outright mean!I don't know his name, he calls himself "the boss". There is def something wrong with him. Don't know what but he has anger issues or something. I've overheard him speaking to customers and other workers and it's been quite uncomfortable during my visits He is the only issue at this establishment. Absolutely atrocious. It was myself and two children who went for mani and pedi, and our gel manicures were awful. 4 days later, the gel is coming off like regular nail polish. The girl that did it barely used much polish as she kept wiping it off at the rim of the polish bottle. These people are terrible at what they do. The materials they used are not even sterilized or new. No one opened a new packets of tools to use on my nails which set off alarm bells. I will never return. Waste of money! read more

I'm very disappointed that I will no longer be coming here. I've been a regular customer here since they opened. Today I came in because my nails were starting to hurt under my dip powder manicure. I asked if they could take it off and just do a regular manicure/nail clean-up without any polish. Just so my nails could breathe a couple weeks before coming back. I was informed it would be $35 for a soaking my dip off and cleaning up my cuticles...mind you, without using any other products except the acetone. I'm sad to go but don't feel right coming back to a place that can't accommodate regular, loyal customers. Edit: I did only pay $15 because I did not get the manicure I was planning to get. They tried to charge me $20 for just taking the dip off and I had to ask for it to be corrected to $15. I pay $40 for a dip powder manicure there every month plus a pedicure. I do not understand how a regular manicure without the polish, base coat, top coat etc was going to be $35. read more

Rude staff, I drove 35 minutes to this place after seeing reviews I figured they would be good. I wanted to soak off my gel x manicure and get dip on my natural nails. Walking in they seemed busy but I was told they could fit me in. After I was sat down and they were soaking off my nails, the staff kept making comments about customers coming with no appointments. These comments made me feel extremely uncomfortable. They are extremely understaffed and the staff they have isn't prepared for what the customer might ask for. They didn't have anyone who knew how to do dip. I decided to just leave after my nails were done soaking. They charged me $20 dollars just to take off the acrylic on my nails. $20 dollars for something I could've done at home. A $20 soak off, unbelievable. I asked the front desk lady, who was nice but didn't know how to handle the situation, why it was $20 she said that "everywhere you go a soak off is $20". I asked her to drop down the price, an employee, who I think is the manager said that if I went back they would discount my next service. I told the front desk lady I wasn't coming back. We visited for the first time last week and I'm undecided if we'd go back. They are newly opened and I understand there are going to be some growing pains but I'd rather a nail salon tell me to come another day then have us wait and then not have enough time to complete all requested services which is exactly what happened. We're a family of 4 and called before we headed over to verify they could see us. We were told there was no wait and to go ahead and come. Upon arrival we saw they were extremely busy and had a wait and if we'd known how long the wait was we would have gladly come back. We checked in and requested 4 pedicures, 1 mens manicure, and 1 dip manicure. The owner told us it wasn't a problem, they had time for everything. My daughter received her dip manicure 10 minutes later and the 3 of us waited about 25 minutes for our pedicures to begin. We didn't know that my other daughter would not be able to receive her pedicure until our feet were already in the water and the pedicures had begun. So we were in the middle of services and they sat other people next to me. I was confused and she was told it would be at least an hour before she could get her pedicure after getting her dip manicure. So her fingernails were done and she sat waiting while we got our pedicures. Had we known, my husband would have gotten a manicure instead of a pedicure because that was more important to him. He ended up going elsewhere to get his manicure. I still don't understand why we were told when we arrived that it wasn't a problem and they had time but we didn't get the services we requested. My husband didn't get his manicure and daughter didn't get her pedicure. At that point we were frustrated with the situation and just ready to go. We didn't make a big deal about it. We just paid and left. We were hoping to make this our go to nail salon because it's decorated beautifully and there are many polish options but I don't think we'll be back. We were happy with the services we received but just annoyed because we didn't receive all the services we requested and had to go to another salon to get them. Katie was rude and kept telling me to relax, when I was relaxed and she was obviously very uptight and not relaxed! I told her I wasn't sure what color I wanted on my nails and she kept pressuring me to make a decision on a color before I even sat down. Also, cut my skin in two places.
