The best experience I've had with a real estate agency/broker in NYC. I contacted Pat through his company instagram and he quickly responded and emailed me with several listings. We were able to schedule a viewing of three different apartments shortly after and my roommates and I found our dream home. Pat let us know when the apartment was going to be viewed again so we could put down a deposit and he held it for us for a month. The lease signing went smoothly even though Pat was unavailable due to a personal issue and had John finish the process with us. My friend came up from Kentucky to the lovely Brooklyn NYC, to visit me a Bushwick to check out the scene and look for jobs and apartments. I was also looking to get out of my sublet for a multitude of reasons. Towards the end of the week we both had decided the best option would be to get sublets and just continue looking for apartments when he arrived at the end of the month. However, on his second to last day my friend said "u gotta go check out this apartment...hurry as Rocco will only be there for 15 minutes." So i hustled on over and Rocco was kind enough not only to stay and show me the units available and also to wait for my friend to return and look at the apartment together. A solid move. He didn't have to do that. We couldnt make our mind up at the time to take the apartment, but we were interested. What to do. Rocco solved this issue by saying that we could take the night to think about it. This was such a generous offer and really allowed me to feel relaxed while making my decision to move in. We decided to take the apartment. The only thing left was to have a meet and greet with the land lord and also grab the keys. Rocco facilitated both of these meetings with incredible professionalism. Everything went super smoothly, because this guy was so understanding and proffesional. I cannot say enough great things about Rocco and his team at CODA. Dealing with them was not your normal painful moving procedure, but a smooth and easy transition aided by Rocco. If you are looking for an apartment here in Brooklyn I would heavily suggest using this company as they are the best and understanding around and will treat you with respect and cordiality. He was professional, informed about the apartment we were interested in and worked with us to negotiate a lease that worked within our schedule which was super helpful. Unlike many other brokers in the area he was not pushy or pretentious. Never once tried to "sell us" an apartment. Instead he was happy to answer any questions we had and gave us our space to think about whether the apartment fit our needs. found these guys on Zumper (love Zumper btw) and set up an appointment with their agent Dave who was very quick to reply and flexible with my sched (I work late alot), he met me at the place I first called on and also had keys to about 3 other units nearby (all in my stated price range which was appreciated and one of which i ended up applying for)... these guys understand the urgency on rentals and did not waste any time getting a lease signing set up and three days later I had keys. We used CODA and the realtor Michael lied to us about everything. He told us that we could use the basement (which the lease later said is off limits), he said that the rats and cockroaches would be gone (Nope, they're still very much here!), and that the apartment would be renovated (HAHAHA oh he got us good). I found Avery beautiful 2 bedroom apartment listed on Zillow.com. I contacted Rocco the 2 nights prior and got no response.. Totally fine, I understand this job can have a very busy schedule. I reached out again the next day and I got a response by text message... Never did I speak with Rocco on the phone. but that isn't the main issue here. We set up a viewing for the apartment on 10/09/2018 at 5:30 P.M. My mom and I texted Rocco around 4:45 P.M. which was about 45 minutes earlier than we planned. An attempt to contact Rocco was made and he replied that we had set an appointment for 5:30 P.M. and that he was on his way.. PERFECT we thought. We arrived at the wrong house and let him know that we were actually 10-15 minutes away. We arrived at the proper address at around 5:05 P.M. where I texted Rocco (again because each time I tried to call he doesn't answer his phone) and notified him that we were outside. He simply replied "See you at 5:30". With that reply, I was a little turned off but was still very excited to see the apartment and replied "No problem were waiting outside". After that message there was no more communication until I again texted Rocco asking if he was nearby because we were waiting. His reply to that was "Just parked & we were scheduled for 5:30 it is currently 5:25." "See you soon". At this point I was very upset because we had been waiting 45 minutes on top of driving nearly an hour to view this apartment with Rocco.But still, I called him and tried to resolve the issue on the phone. I asked Rocco since we were all at the meeting location if we could start the viewing a few minutes early. (he arrived 5 minutes prior so we would only be starting the viewing about 2-3 minutes earlier). He proceeded in a very rude tone that we had an appointment and he is not starting until 5:30 P.m. and that he is early.... WE WERE EARLY TOO... If you have an appointment to view an apartment with someone I believe the appropriate thing to do would be to greet the possible renters at least? the whole 45 minutes of us waiting we did not see Rocco. He sat in his car and was being rude instead of doing what im sure is in his job description. Sucks for the owners. Sucks for the company. Sucked for us that we lost out on time and gas for traveling so far and being very disappointed by this experience. Never will I use or recommend this company or should I say this specific "relator" Rocco ever again. read more
