Alan was super friendly and accommodating; the entire apartment-signing process was pain-free and straightforward.

I lived in Williamsburg for five years and had the pleasure of True Management being our property managers. They were always quick and communicative with service and I appreciated the ability to pay rent online, along with any maintenance requests through their portal. Would live in another True Management property in a heartbeat. If there was a way to filter through which apartments are managed by True, I'd choose those over any other options. They truly give a personal touch to what they do. Thanks Rob and team!

We have been living in a property managed by True Management for ten days. In that time, our…read morewashing machine has broken and almost flooded the apartment, our dishwasher was falling out of the island, our toilet has broken four times, and a section of our electrical grid has ceased to work, leaving us with no internet. Each time we have filed maintenance requests and called about an urgent issue, True Management has been entirely unresponsive, forcing us to call multiple times with limited to no response. This has meant that we have been without many of the essential amenities, like internet and a functioning toilet, that we are paying for as part of our lease. We are very disappointed in the inability of True Management to fulfill its basic responsibilities as a management company. Communication with True Management has been nearly impossible. We have had to call their urgent line multiple times, which is not an urgent line at all but is connected to an external call service with phone operators who are completely unable to help tenants or connect tenants to management. When we were able to speak with people from management, they asked US to communicate with the super to arrange service for the apartment, another task that should be their responsibility that they have failed to perform. Furthermore, inadequate communication prior to the move in meant that they had failed to clean or paint the apartment prior to our agreed upon move in time. Additionally, after we moved in we were informed that there was mold in the apartment that had not been remediated. We were forced to vacate the apartment on the day of our move in, which we were legally paying to reside in. Per our lease, we are entitled to an inspection of the apartment. In light of the many issues we have experienced since moving in ten days ago, we've requested an inspection. However, when we did so management complained about the cost of a mold evaluation and refused to follow up with us about arranging this inspection.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with Native!…read more I used streeteasy to find the apt I wound up getting, and Alicja was super helpful, quick and attentive in helping me lock it down! I had to travel that night, so was sending her lease application info piecemeal via an airplane, and she was very patient and so helpful in making sure everything was all set. She also made time in her busy schedule to let me back in to view/measure the apt a few times after I put my offer in. Alicja was stepping in for Anna, who happened to be out of town while I my application was accepted. I singed part of the lease wtih Alicja, and then when Anna got back- finished up signing and went with anna to meet the landlords. Anna was also AMAZING- such a nice lady, and pleasant experience. She was organized, calming and made sure that all my needs/expectations were met in regards to move-in date and apt status. It was awesome how she knew everyone in the neighborhood and had a real, genuine relationship with the landlords-- which was so comforting because a lot of these places say they know the landlords well and that they are good people, but you could tell that they were genuinely close and have a great relationship! Native overall was awesome! I highly recommend!

Avoid this place. In…read morethe 6 month span we spent here, we experienced: - a freezing cold room with no heating (windows were promised to be sealed but they sealed it in May, when the weather was starting to get hot) - frequently broken elevators (the coworking space is on the 6th floor so this was especially inconvenient) - frequently unavailable wifi - leaking roofs (the roof leaked on top of one of our employees) - extremely loud construction noises interrupting critical meetings / conferences - extremely cold A/C in all common areas (our team was constantly shivering) - an overheated room with no AC - frequently out of order bathrooms - weeks of no cleaning (even when regular vacuuming of rooms was guaranteed) ... the list really goes on. Plus the rents are at least $1000 more expensive than other great options in the area. It's a converted pencil factory, so it does have its charm, and we definitely would have been more forgiving if our concerns were dealt with. Not even speedily dealt with -- dealt with in general. Our concerns were constantly ignored. We are so disappointed.
