They caught the skunk, repaired the damage it caused, and sealed any possible entry point to prevent any future wildlife getting in. They replaced my vents (including my dryer vent) with high quality, sturdy ones, and they put concrete around any area that an animal could dig around. They also cleaned up the mess under my house. I would not recommend them for building a home... I'm sure for a garage or a barn they would be…read morefine. I'm giving them 3 stars mainly because Kennedy was awesome! But the end result of my home is not what I expected. First, they convinced me to move the location of the house, they said it would save me a lot of money in excavation, so I trusted them and reluctantly agreed but that meant I lost the view I wanted from my back porch. That view was THE reason I bought that land to build on! But the excavation ended up being the same cost they originally quoted me... it didn't save me any money at all! There was no communication about that until after the excavation was done and I asked about it. When the house was done, it didn't pass inspection because they didn't use tempered glass above my bathtub and a few other silly little things that the codes people were being too picky about. But the builder should've known the codes for glass above a bathtub. Their solution was to send me a link to where I could buy a peel and stick film to put on my bathroom window. I told them I didn't think I should be responsible for paying for that, or trying to apply it myself! They ended up getting it and putting it on for me...BUT it bubbled and looks warped when I look out that window. It's my new home, it should have been fixed the right way but now I'm left to deal with that. Also, my concrete floors are awful, I pointed out a big spot by the front door that was worn down and really rough, my builder said not to worry about that because I wouldn't see it when they were done. Well, it's still there, exactly like it was when I pointed it out. They were supposed to clean the floors after drywall and seal them again. But over 6 months later, I'm STILL scraping drywall mud off my floors! They never sealed them again, but they left 2 huge full containers of seal (along with a lot of other trash) on my porch when they were done. My floors in my home are way worse than most garage floors, the expansion joints are wide open for dirt to fall in to and it doesn't look like the floors are sealed at all. I've seen many homes with concrete floors that are sealed (not stained, just sealed) and they are beautiful. That's what I was expecting, that's not what I got! I know this was just another "job" to them, but this is my home. It took literally EVERYTHING I had to build it, and I trusted the Barn Store to build it. I didn't want to write this kind of review, I was hoping to have a 5 star experience but sadly that is not the case.

Trustworthy and communicates well. Miguel kept us updated on the daily processes and progress. We watched the process and let me tell you my deck is more than what I imagined. It is beautiful and relaxing and solid. I have never seen any contractor out here, take the extra steps to make sure a deck did not rot away and was level. Miguel is a little ocd, that's a good thing. The little extras go a long way. We have other projects around our home that we are hiring JD Land Development for. He was responsive to all of our questions and requests, his bid was less than 80% of the other contractors, and finished the job a week early and under budget. We added a bathroom & bedroom to the first floor for my father and could not believe how great the job turned out. His crew/subs were here early or on time, not one mess was left behind every single day, and would personally go over what was completed and asked for input at the end of each week. We were gone one day when the extremely expensive tile we picked out and bought for the bathroom but he sent his tile subcontractor to another job because when he started the tile it didn't look good to him in terms of color and size. He left a voicemail, text and email, all with photos and we were so happy he had stopped the tile from being installed. He also saw how much we paid for the tile and suggested an alternate tile that was more than half the price for both the tile and labor due to the size of the tile. I looked at the review left by another person who had used them for another job and I'm having a hard time believing what she had to say. BTW, Miguel, the partner/contractor only recently completed this work for us has a great reputation for the work he has completed on every job out here in California. We checked with the people he listed as references and even visited with a family he had worked with and got to look at the work completed and got to ask questions about his work. This family gave such a positive reference that we signed with him that da
