Well, as anticipated, there was miscommunication with the curb that they had to come back out and fix. I would give 4 stars but as mentioned previously, there was a miscommunication with the curb that had to be addressed and then when they came back to fix it, there were some minor scrape marks of whatever tool/equipment they were using that scuffed up the asphalt surface. Speaking of tools, the guys there also used some of my personal tools on the property to assist with their job (pickaxe and shovel). This wasn't that big of a deal but I wish they mentioned it instead of me having to find out on my own. Lastly, there was trash from the crew left over after completing the job. Again, not a huge deal but just annoying. Other than those issues mentioned above, the quality of the work wasn't bad and they were solid on their original quote. He was responsive to all of our questions and requests, his bid was less than 80% of the other contractors, and finished the job a week early and under budget. We added a bathroom & bedroom to the first floor for my father and could not believe how great the job turned out. His crew/subs were here early or on time, not one mess was left behind every single day, and would personally go over what was completed and asked for input at the end of each week. We were gone one day when the extremely expensive tile we picked out and bought for the bathroom but he sent his tile subcontractor to another job because when he started the tile it didn't look good to him in terms of color and size. He left a voicemail, text and email, all with photos and we were so happy he had stopped the tile from being installed. He also saw how much we paid for the tile and suggested an alternate tile that was more than half the price for both the tile and labor due to the size of the tile. I looked at the review left by another person who had used them for another job and I'm having a hard time believing what she had to say.
