They know how…read moreto work with folks that have various limitations from injuries or long-term inactivity, which is why I went to them in the first place. When my husband and I came in for the initial consultation with the owner, Bruno, we didn't feel any pressure to sign up right away, unlike other gyms. Because my husband was on the fence, Bruno offered us a free session in the functional fitness class that he recommended for us. Our trainer, Anna, was awesome and we were sold. The class is small, usually just 6 people max, so she can give individualized attention and modifications for the different exercises whenever it's needed. She makes it possible for people of varying levels and abilities to all do the class together while still being challenging for each individual. When I started, I couldn't do a single burpee. Now I can do several in a row without stopping. All this after just a couple months of doing class twice a week. The level of care and responsiveness here is next level. When the class recently started getting a bit crowded, Anna immediately went to Bruno and got an additional class time set up. The staff and the other members are all kind, friendly, and encouraging so it's a pleasant place to workout. There's no intimidation or competition, just good vibes.

My Brother joined Body Mack Fitness and started personal training about a year and a half ago and…read moreit has completely changed his appearance and life! My Brother has lost a total of 70 pounds and has built muscle mass on top of it! After seeing my Brothers transformation I decided to join as well and I have lost 20 pounds and counting since Nov of 2014. The gym is owned by trainer Mac who knows everything under the sun about nutrition and training, he only hires the best trainers and he understands the pain and emotions that come along with the battle of the bulge, he is easy to talk to and he will set you up with the right trainer and meal program to get you started. The facility is clean and organized and never over crowded, so it is easy to get good workouts in without having to fight with the other gym patrons for the machines and weights, nothing like waiting on weights to kill the workout mood. Bernardo is our trainer and he is beyond good, he is a professional and has perfected the art of body building. He not only knows how to help you lose weight but he knows how to perfect a workout routine to get your body into its best possible shape. You will feel and see muscles you never knew you had. You won't only lose weight you will feel great and look your best if you follow the steps and training that Bernardo gives you. I enjoy my training sessions so much that I am disappointed when I miss one and in the world of diet and exercise that is rare!! I have tried every diet and exercise program under the sun and after two weeks I always lost interest and hope. I am going on 5 months now and seeing the actual results and the change I have always longed for. I am actually dedicated for once and without the help of Bernardo and the friendly and encouraging staff at Body Mack Fitness, that would not be possible. The money that we have spent towards our personally training and memberships at body mac fitness are priceless in exchange for looking and feeling our best when we look in the mirror. I have found a new confidence and I am excited and motivated to see what the future and my continued training with Bernardo will bring. He is a diamond in the rough, and if you are lucky enough to find him and Body Mac Fitness then you are lucky enough :) I will add the photos and let them do the talking.

I'm excited for the results and I'm always happy to go there (which is a first for me when it comes to going to the gym). I can see how it may not be for everyone; it's not a typical gym - it's better!

The concerning part is not just the complaints themselves, but the pattern. Different reviewers…read morecontinue describing the exact same issues: poor management responsiveness, lack of accountability, declining class quality and availability, instructor turnover, cancellations with poor communication, clique-like behavior in certain classes, and an overall dismissive customer service culture. When the same concerns appear repeatedly over a long period of time without meaningful improvement, it reflects a leadership problem. For a premium-priced membership, members should not have to deal with frequent class cancellations, instructors abruptly quitting, or reduced schedules. Multiple instructors leaving is also a significant indicator of internal dissatisfaction. High turnover rarely happens in healthy, well-supported environments. Members are paying not only for equipment access, but for consistency, professionalism, and reliable programming. Another major concern repeatedly mentioned is the atmosphere surrounding the Zumba classes. A public gym should never feel socially exclusive or intimidating. Reviews consistently describe clique behavior, territorial attitudes over spots, rude conduct, excessive noise, and instructors allegedly siding with regular groups instead of maintaining professionalism and inclusivity. That is not the type of culture a fitness business should normalize. Operationally, there also appears to be a lack of attention to member experience: canceled classes communicated only through website updates instead of direct notifications, unresolved concerns despite suggestion boxes and reviews, overcrowding issues, members occupying equipment while on phones, and complaints about cleanliness and room conditions between classes. The most disappointing aspect is that these do not appear to be new concerns. They have allegedly been ongoing for months, yet review after review suggests management remains defensive or disengaged rather than solution-oriented. Long-term customer retention cannot thrive under those conditions. People may initially join because the concept of a women's gym is appealing, but retention depends on members feeling respected, heard, welcomed, and valued consistently. Until ownership demonstrates a genuine willingness to address these recurring concerns in a meaningful and proactive way, I cannot support this business and would advise potential members to thoroughly research current experiences before committing financially.

A few improvements I would like to see at the gym are brighter lighting and opportunities to interact with other members hosted events that are not just about recruiting new members but also to inform women about the benefits of weightlifting, nutrition other trends which I believe would be well received.
