GTS is awesome. I tagged along with my husband and can see why he hypes it up so much. Reservation-based is genius - it's never crowded and you never have to wait in line for a rack... not that it's an issue since there's at least four of them here. No waiting, everything is organized and clean and they have everything you need for squats, hip thrusts, cables, asst pull up, hack/ leg press, leg curl/ extension, bands, free weights. Have always avoided the free weight room at the gym and strength training gyms in general as I did not want to be the "one of those things that doesn't belong" in a room full of swole Arnold Schwarzenegger and The Rock lookalikes. Then I found Game Time Strength. The trainers do everything they can to make you feel at home and make sure you're getting a good workout in (yes, they hold you accountable). They're big on form--important to avoid injuries--and they have female coaches which I love. Space is clean, equipment is new, everyone is friendly, the hours are flexible, and pricing competitive. Really happy my husband and I found a place where we enjoy working out--now we just need to get our butts in there more often! read more

I live in San Pedro and was looking for a small, private gym with all the right (and clean) equipment. I had a home gym, but since moving, I joined a larger gym...and no thanks. I don't want to catch COVID or anything else in these big box gyms. I found GTS and trained in their latest spot in Redondo. Yup, I drove 30 minutes one way to go to a clean and proper gym. So glad they opened up a Torrance location and I LOVE IT! I'm so happy to continue training in their facilities. I've been going to GTS since Nov with no prior weightlifting experience. The trainers were so patient with me to make sure I was using correct form before lifting heavy weights.
