Another solid session of conditioning, bagwork, and sparring.

A true artist and master in Muay Thai Kickboxing (amongst a multitude of other martial arts), Master Joe Lee is the man to train with if you're looking to move towards competing, or just looking to get in peak physical condition! Since I began training with the 'Rajun Cajun', my technique, speed, strength, and overall physicality has improved drastically. I haven't trained in martial arts since a good few years back, but MJL has exhibited the utmost of patience with me, and has been very encouraging over the time that I have been working with him. Another huge bonus to this gym... you walk in and you aren't met by a stack of inflated & volatile egos - not at all. Everyone is dedicated, yet humble and helpful at the same time - something refreshing that you don't find at many martial arts gyms these days... heh... Whether you're looking to get fit, add to a repertoire of skills, or head towards competing, there are folks of all different training ranges on any given day, and MJL always manages to coordinate an effective flow with each session, while attentively giving bursts of one-on-one coaching throughout. Stop in and check out what a session is all about!

When our regular trainer moved on from another gym, Jeff was gracious to allow us to train at his gym.

I hate this place. Don't join…read more Just joking... this is my "third place" where I get some time to hang out with people who have become friends and my biggest cheerleaders. This is a great community and the workouts are safe and fun! The trainers are knowledgeable and approachable. They are always watching and correcting form while giving you a little push to go heavier. Workouts are usually a circuit of stations using free weights, kettlebells, TRX, boss balls, etc. The ab finisher and sled pushes at the end top off the challenging hour. That being the basics you might ask about the gym, let me tell you about my results on the 8 week slim down challenge. I worked out 2-3 times at the gym per week and tried to do alternate activities on my off days. I ate a sensible meal plan, no crazy supplements or restrictions. I lost 14 pounds and am off 2 medications. My labs came back better and the panic I felt about my health is gone and I feel hope. So instead of experiencing of crazy starvation diet and bootcamp misery, I found a lifestyle reset. This is sustainable. I don't feel deprived or broken. Even in this horrid heatwave, I'm getting up for my 5am workouts. I may not exactly look forward to that 4:30 am alarm, but it is a new habit that is part of my morning routine.

Exercises ALWAYS challenging and there is variety so doesn't get boring . Also , personal attention…read more. Trainer knows who can do more and encourages them to do so . Attention to good form is also a plus . Keep it simple - sometimes I get a little lost in the order . Numbers on the floor help .
