Apparently a landscaping service can't clean up large clods of dirt which I could pick up by hand and rake through. To be fair. Pros: Responsive and quick to come out to give a quote and set a day for the work to be done. Clear communication when work had to be split up into two separate times because his crew contracted Covid and they did not have the manpower. Cons: Left a mess on the lawn after removing sod. I accept that some soil would be left after removing sod but this was an unacceptable amount. Instead of cutting the sod and rolling it (they did this for the first piece) they resorted to just throwing it around. Had to spent another 3 hours the next day shovelling clods of sod and dirt to clean up the mess ( filled up an entire wheelbarrow full of dirt and rocks) Mulched the beds as agreed on but left mulch on lawn as well as out of flower bed. First 3 pictures show the quality of work Beck's left and the 4th picture shows how it looked after I cleaned up with minimal tools (aka my hands, shovel and rake).

We recently (Saturday, July 4th, 2026) had a microburst storm that literally destroyed 8 trees on our property. These trees were all about 40 years old from when we built the house. Dubois Tree Service was out on our property the following Tuesday at 8:00 with a full crew. They not only worked on our property, but also on several other properties that day. It took two days to totally clean our property, but they were out in our neighborhood six days in a row helping people with MAJOR storm damage. The quality, the professionalism, the commitment to making sure everything is done correctly, and pricing is second to none. The owner Jimmy was with the crew everyday and his wife Christine in the office kept us up to date while I am sure she was managing a hundred different calls as this again was a MAJOR storm. On Saturday he said he was on my way to my house but alas, he didn't show until 4 hours later. I asked him for a time to expect him but he never let me know. I have a contract with them but he is very unresponsive and my yard looked terrible as we were over 2 weeks without a cut at the end of May and early June. I thought the issues that I had when I initially contracted with him to mulch and seed my yard in the spring were an anomaly but they appear instead to be part of a pattern. After first contacting him to do Spring bed clean-up and mulching, I waited 3 plus weeks and they never showed even though he stated they would mulch within the week after receiving the contract. When I finally was able to reach him, I had to insist that they do the work as they wanted to wait another 2 weeks which would have put us into late May for mulching and seeding and over 5 weeks from the initial request for service. (Then he never cleaned up/trimmed the plants in the side gardens. ) The delays, unresponsiveness, and lack of communication and the fact that he clearly misled, if not outright lied, to me about being on his way are indicative of the poor customer service and an unreliable business. I would advise you to avoid working with Pine Ridge Landscaping.
