Keep going down the hall until you see the Atlanta CPR door. I've gone here 3 times now, including one session for ACLS. Just had my most recent BLS re-certification here, and it couldn't be more of a breeze. Price for BLS at end of 2019 is $75. You have an e-learning session prior to actual skills check. So give yourself a day or two before you schedule the class. You need to complete the e-learning first, print out your certification and bring it with you. Once you sit through your hour long skills check, you'll get your card on the way out. Easy! Steven is the head teacher, and he's a hoot. Will definitely keep the session lively and entertaining. I was impressed with the tech in this recent session. Everything is hooked up to tablets, the baby mannequins glow when you compress or breathe into them. Lastly, I wanted to note one of my fellow students noted how she tried for hours at work (because that's usually free) but still failed and couldn't get her re-cert. So, yes, you're paying money, but it's definitely convenient.

Things to know: Give yourself time to complete the online portion of you choose that route. It takes a few hours but it's no sweat and great to brush up on your skills. Arrive a few minutes early. The class I attended started promptly at its start time, I believe it was 9am. They followed with an ACLS course for some of the class so they want to stay on schedule. The BLS CPR card was available right at the end of the class, the staff was quick and had everything ready to go at the end of the class. Finding it is key! Look for papa Johns parking lot and drive towards the back, it's on the second floor, so if you look up you will see the sign and take the stairs to the right of the sign if you are facing it. That was the hardest part, which wasn't very hard. The teacher was informative and friendly and they used a technology on a screen that kept you on beat which I had never seen before and thought it was pretty cool. I will be back for future certifications and also if you refer friends you can get a discount.

Then I was told that I was denied any assistance for another reason, but the Red Cross refused to tell me for what reason I was denied and refused to discuss my case with me because they put my date of birth in the system incorrectly. I received zero support, zero answers, and zero respect. I am extremely disappointed in the Red Cross and would never recommend their assistance to anyone else in need. I lost my entire house and everything in it and will now have to completely rebuild my life and my children's lives. Red Cross miserably failed to live up to their mission statement of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies. Ben S

Instead of stating specific actions she, as a Red Cross "volunteer," was doing to help others, she talked about herself and what she needed to do. Supposedly, she has been a Red Cross "volunteer" for years, yet she clearly didn't know what to do. Instead, she said she needed to do things. She talked about herself rather than taking action to help others. Her job as a volunteer is to help others rather than pontificate about herself. Talk and no action are damaging to us, the fire victims. Doesn't the Red Cross train its volunteers? This is the worst representation of the Red Cross I have ever seen. Please train your volunteers to actually do something. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to volunteer.

I'm honestly not satisfied at all. Although the person I have been speaking to seems to be…read moreknowledgeable and friendly, it's the business as whole that I have a problem with. I was court ordered to take anger management classes and contacted them for an evaluation. Prior to the evaluation, I was told that 8 classes was standard depending on the results of the evaluation which was $100 just to take. After the evaluation it was said I needed 8 classes. No surprise because she already told me that. However in my head I'm thinking "well what was the evaluation for if you already knew I was going to take 8 classes?" But 8 classes is what is required to get a completion certificate for court. Then the classes are $25 each. So I have to pay to be on probation, pay for the evaluation, pay for the classes, and all while dealing with unemployment due to Covid 19. If I needed 8 classes to complete probation why the extra money for the evaluation? To me it's just another way for them to get money out of people. It may just be $100 but if you get enough people to pay it, it'll add up quick. I'm just doing the classes to complete probation and not have to deal with Atlanta PD or this bs justice system ever again.
