Decided to stop and get a cold drink for the road. Since I will taking over the wheel for a few hours I selected the Original Mocha blend. It was blended just right and looked so delicious with the whipped cream and chocolate drizzle on top. The delivered request was delicious as it looked! This location is located inside the Chevron building along with other familiar named eateries. There are plenty of seating in the building to enjoy your meal/drink from the extreme heat or cold outside. I could imagine this place could fill up quick too. The area I sat at while waiting for my drink was clean and seating was plenty. The service was quick, not really a personable employee but at least it wasn't rude. I would definitely stop in again if in the area and needed a delicious drink for the road. read more

Horrible customer service!!! They are scheduled to close at 6:00 pm. We were getting fatigued so we decided to pull off to grab a coffee and we get there and they hustling to lock the doors at 5:30 pm. Thinking they were just prepping early, I walked through the other open side and they refused to take an order. I asked about their posted hours to close at 6 and the response was "too bad, our manager told us to close now." I don't understand businesses that work this way. read more

Great coffee and blended ice coffee at CBTL in the middle of the desert! I have always liked their brand and had owned an CBTL machine at home. It's just not as popular where I lived, so we sold that machine; but, let's get to the review. We have stopped here many times. Usually, it's not crowded and there is little to no wait. Yay! Quick stop, but no drive-thru. So, you have to park and go inside. However, it's convenient on the way to/from Vegas & CA in the middle of the desert with limited or no other options. Hot mocha is my hub's go to coffee. I tasted it and it's definitely better than the iced coffee mocha blended. The iced mocha blended is okay, but tastes a bit powdery or has an aftertaste that I'm not so crazy about. I like the caramel better. Mostly, I like that they don't taste like a pound of sugar water was used to make the coffee palatable. This time, hubby just ordered a shot of espresso. Strong, so it's what he wanted. However, for taste, the restaurant's espresso we had with brunch earlier tasted better. It's good, if ya need a quick pick-me-up though. The service is usually quick and easy. Once, we had one of those days ... you know, when they're out of everything or the guy just has no clue. No cookies for the Cookies & Cream drink?! What?! No cold brew... all out?? Really?! Not sure about him, but if you get the girl barista - she's on it! Friendly and helpful. You won't have to ask her twice. They have baked goodies, too. We usually end up ordering a cinnamon bun from the adjacent shop. So, I cannot comment on their baked items yet. For now, I will round 3+ up to give 4 stars since I am happy to get some coffee options and mostly good service out here where it's mostly cacti and tumbleweeds. CREDIT CARD FRAUD!!!!! I stopped in for a coffee in July 2024 and today (Dec 16, 2024) 5 months later saw a charge for $17.03 on my Visa from BAKER TRAVEL PLAZA. I contacted my credit card company and they said that my card number was entered in manually at the location in Baker, Ca. I do not live anywhere close to Baker, Ca. Bad customer service. The young lady taking our order was rude. Not a pleasant experience and it's just coffee, disappointed.

The customer service was horrible to say the least. When I am nice and say hello and the girl that's working the counter doesn't even say hi or smile and looks at me stone faced. I'm thinking she doesn't like her job and maybe should be told or trained how to welcome patrons. I made a sarcastic remark about usually people smile when they greet customers lol. After she did my order she went back to the girl plus another girl and said what I said then also added that I wish I could have told her what I thought. Oh I forgot to add I waited for her and another employee chit chat while I waited. I must've interrupted their convo and that's why she was so rude. I asked for a vanilla iced coffee with a shot of espresso so I wash them make it there is absolutely no ice coffee you're literally drinking milk with a shot of espresso and the vanilla part is powder I literally watched him make the drink he had a shot of espresso grab it looked like white coco which I'm assuming is the vanilla stirred it together and poured a bunch of milk in a cup so literally I'm full of milk no coffee nowhere just an espresso this place is a lie you drink milk more than you drink coffee I know my coffees I see why everybody chooses Starbucks over little places like these because at least Starbucks is really pouring your coffee this place is pouring you milk read more

So so so happy there's a cbtl here! Please don't ever leave. We always plan our trips around stopping at different cbtls but this one is actually right on our route. They even have the 32 oz size here, amazing for long trips. There is only 1 employee today working at 2 food shops but she was extremely fast and friendly. Great job, will absolutely be stopping here again on every trip. read more

Stopped here today for a quick coffee on the road. The servers were quick and the drinks tasted great. This location doesn't get great reviews, but we had a fine experience. My only complaint is they were out of half and half which is unexpected for a coffee shop. Also, FYI this location is inside of a gas station food court. Well, stopped in again today. Arrived at 950am, they are not open u til 10am. I don't understand! The other food court places are all open & busy. KFC, Fat Burger, Pizza Hut & Subway. So I could get chicken burgers or pizza before 10am but no coffee or tea. Coffee Bean hours include Cinnabon they don't open until 10am. So the only breakfast places in that facility open late. I'm told they aren't busy at 7am since covid last year so they decided to not open until 10am. Seems to be a bad decision. Gets better, I wait the 10 mins. Order chai latte, as the girl attempted to make it she tells me the water isn't hot & doesn't know how long it'll take. Normally the machines are not shut off so she gave a refund. By far the WORST coffee bean I've ever been to!! Ordered a drink and literally no one else was ordering or waiting for a drink. The cup was placed on the counter and the employee making the drinks whisked the pre made coffee over and over, put it down, poured herself a cup of water and drank it, walked over to the register where every other employee was gathered around looking at who knows what. She proceeds to stand there for another minute or so, then goes back to the coffee. Pours it in a cup, puts a lid on it and placed the unopened straw on top and puts it back behind the counter instead of handing it to me. When I noticed this I went over and asked if I can please get the coffee and she had the AUDACITY to say "hold on a minute" as another employee goes to grab it and hand it to me. Clearly this lady was not interested in even making the coffee let alone handing it to a customer when it's clearly finished. All this was over the course of about 10 minutes or longer when in total it took her 2 minutes to make the coffee. Terrible service. read more
