Coffee Corners is a quaint coffee shop on the square in downtown Burton (on the square). It's well loved by the community and was buzzing during my visit. I stopped in during Apple Butter Fest, and simply walked over to the cafe. AMBIANCE: It's the type of cafe where time stands still. Many friends and families were relaxing on the patio during the last warm days of autumn. At unhurried pace there were even mother and daughter playing cards. Slow pace atmosphere carried inside. Each home-like room of the cafe was occupied by families having a nice conversation and coffee. There are plenty of diffident nooks for groups and solo coffee connoisseurs. Seating is available in the form of couches, wooden tables and chairs. The way that the cafe is separated into rooms allows for extra roomy atmosphere and an element of privacy. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu includes food options like soups, wraps, deli sandwiches, and breakfast items. Baked goods can be found in the case like tasty looking muffins. As far as fiends, there's wine, coffee, tea, and more. Coffee can be customized with various pumps of sweeteners. Tea is available loose leaf and you can custom scoop your tea bag with a desired flavor. I really wanted to order Cayenne Kick Mocha. But my middle aged body would have acid reflux. Instead I went for another option - hot apple cider (medium cup, $4) to continue my apple theme. The cider was very tasty and scorching hot. SERVICE: The best way to describe service is very transaction and anxious. The line was pretty long which may explain it. This part of the experience felt the most fast paced. I didn't enjoy the service at all. I might drop in again to try Cayenne Kick Mocha next time. I loved the atmosphere but not so much the service. Nonetheless, I want to give them a try on a slower day. read more

This place has down home comfort. Lots of little rooms are filled with misc tables for two and four. The front room is like grandma's house. The sofa and overstuffed chairs are the perfect place to visit with friends over coffee, tea, beer, wine or Velvet ice cream. Hubs said his milkshake was the best he had in a long time. My glass of wine was from Ohio's Debonné. The menu includes breakfast, soups, salads and sandwiches/wraps. A family was having dinner when we walked in on a rainy evening. Check out the pastry counter. This place is so warm and cute! We met friends for Saturday night music of a two piece band, and to visit. Very nice atmosphere to meet up and relax. Glad to know this cozy coffee shop with band music is not far from home. read more

Sweet little spot in The square of Burton, OH. Very busy place currently as it is only 58 degrees. Too cold for this Florida girl. The inside is inviting and there are several rooms to sit and enjoy. It's such a cozy, comfortable place. We went in to grab some coffee, and the variety of syrups and drinks was astounding. Every room feels like it's a private home. The seats are cozy, there are tables to seat one person and tables for 8-10. My daughter said they have the best whipped cream. read more

Coffee Corners is really the only place to get coffee in Burton. While I enjoy having a locally owned and operated coffee place two minutes from where I live, their lack of COVID 19 safety precautions has me taking my business elsewhere a lot of the time. The employees making drinks usually aren't wearing masks and social distancing isn't really enforced. I realize this is the "tail end" of the pandemic but this was happening during the peak of it. Also beware of their cold brew. It's really strong and can give you a stomach ache. It's the only way to get iced coffee from them. Their cold brew really turned me off cold brew in general. read more

My friends and I started going to Coffee Corners daily in high school because I had to wait a couple hours before attending college classes. Since first opening, Coffee Corners has come to grow quite a bit, expanding to the sides, the back rooms, and a nice little patio. Sue, the owner, is very friendly and knows many of her clients by name. Their Mocha is pretty famous in the Burton area, and keeps people coming back. I don't drink coffee anymore, but they do make very good steamers and have a nice tea selection. Plus, the hot chocolate is made from the same secret mocha mix! Apart from a coffee shop, there is also several rooms dedicated to antiques and candles. That isn't so much my thing, although the candles do smell really nice. The atmosphere is perfect for Burton. I miss the days of hearing the bell on the door ring as somebody walks in from the cold NE Ohio weather, looking to warm up to a nice cup of coffee. You never know who you're going to run into here either, as it is one of Burton's only hangout spots for all to enjoy. read more

What a cute, quaint little treasure of a coffee/wine shop. Just happened to be passing through and needed a coffee. Was so surprised at how spacious this shop was. A group of regulars sat off to the side talking shop. A counter full of what looks to be homemade treats were very enticing. Prices were reasonable. The decorations and antiques really add to the ambiance. And some good jazz music played above. If I were a local, I would frequent this place on the daily. There is not much to do in Burton Ohio, when you visit the family that lives here, sometimes you just have to get up and leave, and find a nice cup of coffee. When I was still in high school I would go here because I thought it was the cool thing to do. I would walk through 3 feet of snow to get here. In all seriousness this is one of the only stores that is open past 6. I am a fan of locally owned businesses. Middlefield does have a Starbucks now, but why drive when you can get a good cup of Joe in Town? This place has one of the best mocha's I've had in a long time. The coffee is fresh brewed, the pastries are good, and tasty not sure if they make them in house or what, but they are delicious. My husband wanted an affogato and asked for 1 scoop of ice cream and 1 shot of espresso. One scoop is $2.75 and a single shot is $2.50. The coffee and muffins are wonderful but the customer service leaves much to be desired. Most of the staff are friendly but Sue, the owner (manager?) has been very rude to us and others on multiple occasions. My mom, sisters and I came in for a coffee date and to catch up on each other's lives and we all pulled several chairs together in order to be closer. Sue came up to us, interrupting our private conversation, to tell us we couldn't move chairs. Mind you, these chairs were not fragile antiques, they were sturdy and we moved them maybe a foot or two. On another occasion, she told a couple next to us sitting at a table that could seat six people that they had to move because there are often big groups coming in. The shop was close to empty and no one had reserved the table. I keep coming for the muffins but I always breathe a sigh of relief when there is anyone besides Sue behind the counter. read more
