The service is amazing, the food is delicious and delivered quickly, and the cost? I thought I was looking at a menu from the 1990s. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Been to Eat at Joe's several times. It's a classic, throwback diner with a regular clientele, and an attractive classic diner menu. The ambience is bright and cheery. My wife and I both ordered omelettes which came quickly and were very tasty. The coffee service was regular, friendly, and plentiful. I also got a buttermilk pancake, and my wife got hashbrowns, which were both cooked to perfection. We eventually left with a big smile on our face having started the day in such a friendly and fun place. This is one of those breakfast experiences one should not overthink. Everyone should Eat at Joe's!

A breakfast place of choice for more than 30 years (!) for our family, Eat at Joe's serves it up right. The opening question: Coffee? Yes, please. Always brewed just right. My menu choice usually is the affordable 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. My friend loves Eggs Benedict. The place is always filled with happy, satisfied customers. Take-out is an option. Hope to see you there soon!

Great little breakfast spot we went around 10 am on a Saturday and the place was non stop busy.

Take a look at the shredded hash browns in the pic. They were the best cooked shredded hash browns I've ever had. And I've prob eaten shredded hash browns a hundred times. Outside was perfectly crispy. Inside was cook just right. Eggs and meat were on point also but I couldn't say that was the best I've ever had but it's really hard to separate yourself with just over easy eggs. They are either cooked right or wrong. These were cooked right. My only complaint is if you go during the wkend when it's busy. The seating feels a little cramped. Service was fine got your traditional dinner ladies serving you. Price was fine on par with most dinners. I'm not around this area that often anymore but whenever I do come back to visit my parents I will be back. This is my new breakfast go to spot.

A cute small diner that was hopping at 10am on a Saturday! We waited in line probably only 5 minutes, just a constant in and out flow though. Service was great despite how busy they are. Pancakes were so fluffy and yummy. Generous amount of strawberries on waffles. Highly recommend, don't be intimated by waiting!

Great little find! So, I needed to get some salt in my system asap as I was about to donate platelets at the Red Cross and got denied last time for low blood pressure. So a couple hours before my appointment, I treated myself to a salty breakfast at Eat at Joe's in South Euclid. I've never been before and the place was very hard to find as it is hidden next to a CVS. I still don't understand how I was able to find it! It was mostly filled with an older crowd at 11am on a Friday and busy waitresses. The silverware was water stained and the floor badly needed a thorough vacuuming session. My waiitress already seemed worn-out, whispering, "3 more hours" under her breath. I feel bad as a cash only establishment means that the staff tend to earn less tips. Hopefully, the rest of her day went smoothly. I ordered the $6.99 combo of two scrambled egg whites, two sausage patties, hash browns, and two slices of lightly buttered rye toast. Upgrading to egg whites was $1.00 extra. The food was out FAST and was yummy! It's basic diner food and nothing is seasoned at all, but they have all the seasonings and condiments on the table. Overall, I'm glad to have tried out this very local breakfast dinner. When I am in a pinch to get some salt in my system, I can get it done cheaply here!

This place is exactly what I expected it would be. Small, cheap, quick service, decent food, not the cleanest. Unfortunately if you're an iced coffee drinker, that's not an option here. But overall good for a quick breakfast.

Get a free 12 oz of coffee here with any coffee beans purchase!…read more Rising Star Roasters is my destination for a strong cup of coffee. It's by far my favorite local coffee shop chain. I frequent this location inside Van Aken Market Hall. This coffee stand is located right as you walk into the main doors of the market hall. You'll need to go to the counter, order your food and/or drinks, and wait for the order to be called (typical coffee shop experience). Wait can be a little long during peak hours but it's worth it! You can then select various seating options inside the market or outside. Various options are available inside - comfy leather-like couches, leather-like booths, individual or group tables, and high tops. Outside you'll find tables immediately outside of the Van Aken Market Hall or seasonally on the lawn. If you stop by during the right times, you'll find the district bustling with music and seasonal events. It's also always a good idea to pick up a cup of coffee then go cowork at AO or browse the local shops. The menu at this and other locations is concise and simple. You can get brewed coffee, tea, espresso, lattes, and seasonal drinks. The menu is straightforward and not confusing. My morning go-to's are usually perfectly strong iced coffees. I also always pick up something from the specials menu. All specialty drinks are very well made and consistently prepared. I have never had any drinks here that disappointed me. Small batch snacks are available at this location such as croissants and tea biscuits. I sometimes purchase a snack here or patronize other vendors at the market. All coffee beans at Rising Star are top notch. I recently learned that they have a dedicated coffee buyer who travels to coffee farms and brings coffee back to Cleveland. They're also incredibly serious about their roasting process and have a local roastery. How amazing is that especially for a local coffee shop?! You can pick up beans at their location that are named after regions of where the coffee farms are located. Each coffee bean bag has taste notes listed on the bag, choose your adventure! Coffee bean bag prices vary from $16-19. They'll roast them for you and tailor to your coffee preparation method (i.e. coffee press). If you purchase coffee beans in store, you can get free 12 oz drip coffee! You can also order them online and they'll be roasted within 48 hours of shipping. I love to explore their coffees, get something new every time. I highly recommend this location for your coffee cravings! While you're here, look out for notNeutral coffee mug - sleek, 12 oz, and must have. In the words of Rising Star, "a laser-etched Rising Star emblem adds a subtle, sophisticated touch to the side of each piece."

Tucked in Coventry neighborhood, there's Phoenix Coffee. The first thing you notice walking in is the vibe -- warm exposed brick walls, quirky and ever-changing local art (currently fairytale motif), and the smell of seriously strong, seriously good coffee. The Siren Eclipse art on the wall is alone worth the visit. And the scones? Unreal. Flaky, buttery, and somehow always fresh out of the oven. Really probably the best around. There's also other breakfast snacks like muffins and such. Very limited options but very tasty. Bonus points for the greenery -- the place doubles as a mini plant shop. There's a few leafy ones you can pick up. I got large drip coffee while I was there and it perfectly strong. There's two size options, light or dark roast. The menu also features some seasonal favorites. I had recently spring matcha there that was so vibrantly green. There's also a pretty extensive tea assortment. For warmer months, consider seating outside. They have very fun and aesthetically pleasing wooden benches. Street parking is available in the area but it gets busy. Try parking garage on the street to park. It's free to use.

Their menu is extensive - cold drinks, shakes, hot drinks, smoothies, slush, sandwiches, bagels, baked goods, ice cream, pastries, waffles, salads, sandwiches, bagels, hot dishes, and fridge items. There's so many items on the menu that you can try something different during every visit. The real standout is Dubai Iced Chocolate Latte although I didn't try it. I ordered two large iced coffees and one sandwich (plain bagel with omelette). Coffee was pretty good and not too diluted. Sandwich seemed to include fresh, in-house cooked eggs. I wouldn't necessarily call the filling an omelette. It was too flat and didn't have toppings. The sandwich was pretty small and very dry. There were no sauce or any toppings. I don't know if that was maybe a separate option. My grand total was $20 something which seems very pricey in comparison to the coffee shops in the area - chains or independent. Even more so considering cup sizes and sandwich size. I would have coffee here again, not the sandwich. Sandwich was around $10 and really wasn't worth it. Ambiance is nice and modern. There's innovative and soft overhead lighting. The cafe is very clean and inviting. There are some board games you can play while there. Marble looking tables and greenery make for an airy aesthetic. The cafe is a pleasant and bright place to start your day. Also the staff is very pleasant. They're eager to answer any questions and welcoming. There are also options to order "to stay" or "to go" on the iPad. The parking situation includes some street parking and a small private lot in the back. I wouldn't advise parking at the lot, there are a lot of very deep potholes. If you choose to, watch out for them.
