Lost a star, (maybe should be 3 1/2 stars) because it took FOREVER to get 2 sandwiches. AND I was the only person there, with 3 employees. I went in on Sunday, about 11:15, because a friend let me have a bite of her Pistachio Croissant. It was sooo good I wanted to get a few (4). Sadly there were only two left. As I looked at the wall menu I thought the sandwiches sounded good, and I wouldn't have to cook lunch. Well I then ordered 2 Club Houses to go. (My mistake time wise) Again... I was the ONLY customer/person there. I stood around for 30min and noticed the two front end girls were lightly wiping a counter and as my momma would say, "puttering about". Nothing was said to me still standing at the counter. Finally I said 'is anyone making my sandwiches?' One girl said yes, the other girl went to the back to check. The decor is nice, but with a sore foot I wasn't interested in decor, not to forget HH (hungry hubby) was waiting in the car that warm day. The sandwiches when I finally got home to eat them were large and well packed with meat & cheese. They were good. The croissants were really good. BUT waiting 45 (yes Forty-five) minutes for two sandwiches in an empty restaurant was crazy! read more

I found this gem while I was in the area early in the AM for a lab appointment. I wanted to support small and avoid the typical SBs and such. So glad I drove a few extra blocks to get here. Super cute inside with ample seating and space. It would be a good place to work in the morning if you're remote or have a business meeting. Clean and pretty quiet. The coffee was great! The sweet barista was upfront about the sugar in their flavors, so skipped that and got a good old-fashioned breve latte. Hit the spot! I opted for the Turkey Sausage Burrito for food. It was pretty good, but I'd probably try something different next time. Now that salsa was the bomb. It made the burrito so much better. Did have the food but they do have small bites to eat and a little breakfast menu. The coffee shop itself is very spacious. You can have a morning coffee with the whole family if you'd like. Just got some wonderful service from the owner here! She recommended the Blueberry cobbler, which I absolutely loved! The place is clean and spacious, and there's a huge variety of flavors to mix-and-match. If you're more of a specialty-coffee person, you won't be disappointed either, since they do a good job of pulling well-balanced espresso. I saw them flushing the machine before I left, too, which is a huge green flag. Highly recommend this place for anyone who likes any kind of coffee! read more

Coffee Culture's new location on Wharf St in downtown Loudon is now open! It's a great location, and every bit as good as the original location. Jan has a kitchen in the back and has expanded his offerings. This is a great option for the area and definitely worth you taking the time to stop by. read more

We are kicking ourselves for not coming here sooner! The pastries are AMAZING (we tried the almond croissant and the raspberry/cream danish). They're up there with the pastries I had in Paris. The chorizo breakfast burrito is delicious too. My favorite part about this place is the service - Emma is so sweet and personable, she really brightened our morning. Love that they have a drive thru since we're pretty lazy in the mornings. Will definitely be coming back! read more

My whole family really enjoys this place. It's a little pricy but not much more than any other coffee place and the drinks/food here are delicious so it's really a treat to come here. I highly recommend the chicken and chorizo breakfast burrito and pistachio latte (soooooo good!). The burritos take a while to make, but are worth it! My only real complaint is that the girl who works the window on Wednesday mornings seems really annoyed and like seems like she'd rather be anywhere else. If you can get past that, then definitely give this place a try. read more

This is just a coffee shop. I have had wonderful sandwich there in the past, but today they didn't know what a fountain drink is, only cans and bottles, and very little choices. They didn't seem to know anything about gluten free, and when the menu says one thing, it's actually another. Sorry, was excited about this place when it opened, but won't be back. read more

Had heard of this place so decided to give it a try. Had to give the breakfast burrito a try. Never have been a coffee drinker so ordered the wild berry infused lemonade. We ate there and our food came on these darling white silver rimmed plates. The burrito was good and the lemonade was delicious, especially on such a hot day. I know we are all creatures of habit and the Mega chain is just a block or two down but why don't you try breaking that habit and supporting a local small business? Well, let's start with the products. The coffees are EXCELLENT! Even the bold coffees are smoother and less bitter than CC's competitors! Food selections are EXCELLENT as well. Prices are affordable but the Owners still provide a higher end coffee shop feel. And, as to the Owners? The Lenoir City and Loudon locations are owned, managed and staffed by a really nice Mother-Daughter Team. I ordered a Sugar Plum Latte....oh my goodness! It was so delicious, not too sweet, just perfect. The Almond Croissant is freshly made by a baker from Belgium, so of course I had to also try that. I'm typically not into pastries, but this was great! Soft, crispy, buttery and just the right amount of almond flavor. This place is cute, clean and the customer service is the best. In the very most sincere sense of the word, mediocre is the most flattering adjective I can bestow upon Coffee Culture. While the atmosphere is quaint and welcoming, the coffee, along with the staff's knowledge of its brewed varieties, is lackluster. I visited Coffee Culture for the first time on a cold morning with optimism. I was greeted by the barista upon entering, and she was knowledgeable of the menu items as I inquired of what was most popular. It was when I asked for a very common coffee drink called a "cafe au lait" (of which one would expect to find at any craft coffee shop) when my experience began to decline. The barista (presumably the owner?) started to describe in question form to me what she thought a cafe au lait might be. It was not what she thought, so I said "I'll just have a drip coffee". The only drip option was a Vienna Coffee brand called Stone.... something or other. I'm not sure if the blend she served me was supposed to be as weak as earl grey tea, or if there was simply an error in the brewing process that morning. Whatever the case, I could taste the minerals in the tap water over the extracted flavor from the coffee. Also, and perhaps this is just my personal preference, coffee should be served piping hot - this one was not. This, combined with the lack of knowledge of basic coffee drinks, is enough to drive my future percolatory needs elsewhere. read more
