    Veggie wrap just smooshed together
    Nicole B.

We just moved to Knoxville and we eat a ton of açaí bowls and protein shakes so we were really excited to try this! We got avocado toast, a veggie wrap and a protein shake.now the shake was bomb! But let me just say do not order food here. The veggie wrap was so saturated in vinegar it was not edible. And wrap is a loose term for what this was. It was like 3 veggies, a ton of vinegar and a tortilla all smooshed together. It was not even folded or anything. I couldn't figure out how to pick it up and eat it so I got frustrated that I dropped $50 bucks on this place and the this is what I got. The avocado toast was ok, still also saturated in whatever vinegar sauce they use. But it was edible unlike the wrap. With so many other healthy options here in Knoxville, I won't be back.

    The Dragon Fruit Bowl
    Nicole K.

Went here today. It was fine. We got the dragon fruit bowl, the carrot cake bowl and the hot pink for summer one drink or something like that. It was $40 including a tip. Service was ok. They took our order and we're nice enough. The drink and one smoothly bowl came out fast, 5 minutes or less. The other bowl took about 15 minutes and was melted by the time we got it. It was like soup. I could have drank it with a strew. The flavors of the bowls were good and the drink was not bad. I don't think I'd go back. It wasn't anything special and a little pricey.

This is a great juice bar in the Knox area that specializes in producing raw, organic juices with an emphasis on clean eating that espouses the value/import of making time to nourish your body, mind, and spirit. I frequent this spot and am always greeted with a smile and professional, courteous service. Both the employees and owners go out of their way to ensure that you have a phenomenal experience each time you visit. If you're intentional with regard to the foods and fuel that you put into your body, I highly recommend giving this spot a vibe check.

    Rotten Avocado Toast

The food preparation is extremely inconsistent. Errors are often made on orders. Most recently, my avocado toast prepared was rotten and completely inedible. This is unacceptable food quality, and I'm not sure how anyone preparing this food thought this was ok. When they get the order right, the food is great, but they desperately need to work on quality and consistency. This is the fastest way to ruin a restaurant's reputation.

Clean Juice is the latest juice bar to open in the Farragut/Turkey Creek area. It features 100% organic fruits/veggies. The selections are organized by their purported health benefits or some other title. For example, the drink that I ordered was called, "The Immunity One." Other selections are: "The Detoxifying One"; "The Glow One"; "The Energy One." I'm not a fan of the naming system because it forces me to read each drink to determine what is in them. So, if I wanted a "beet juice," I might have to read them all to figure out which one to order. My juice took a little while to make and I could see that they really took care in doing it well. As a result, the juice was excellent. It had great flavor and, hopefully, boosted my immunity to all the colds going around! In addition to juices, Clean Juice also serves Acai bowls, smoothies, avocado toast, and oats bowls (fancy oatmeal). I've had Acai bowls in other places. But, I haven't seen this in Knoxville before. Anyway, the food looks healthy and good. But, I didn't order food items on this visit. Overall, it seems like a good option for juice/smoothies/healthy stuff. But, it's not cheap. My 16 oz. juice was $10. Now, I understand that organic produce costs more. But, in reality, there is a small demographic that may be willing to pay $10 for a cup of juice. So, it will be interesting to see if Clean Juice can pull in enough business. They have a great location near Publix, Orange Theory and Neighborhood Barre. So, maybe the rush of people from these fitness places will help. As for me, I'll be an occasional customer -- particularly if I feel a cold coming on!

Clean Juice has the best organic smoothies and healthy refreshing drinks on the planet. My youngest son really enjoyed the chocolate one smoothie. They have a huge selection of organic made fresh to order juices and breakfast items.

I absolutely loved Clean Juice Turkey Creek since the moment I stepped in. Denise, the owner, is incredibly kind, loving, and runs a lovely establishment. No business is perfect of course, but the heart behind this company stands out. My favorite juice is the Orange!

Wow so disappointed! Disgusting! First off I order before checking the place out, who would think they would have rotten fruit visible all over the place. Food scraps and crumbs left on cutting boards. Then the guy makes my smoothie filling the blender up mostly with ICE! The extras I paid for he does not add, says he forgot... (think he was trying to avoid putting rotten fruit on top!) when I ask about the strawberries he goes to back and comes back with one black moldy strawberry to cut and put on top, I stopped him and told him to not worry about it. I can't even enjoy my bowl bc I'm grossed out and it's mostly ice. Wish i would have went to the other juice shop but sadly they just closed for the day. This one must be going down due to lack of customers and the supplies are rotting.

    Great juice in the store!

Well, I finally satisfied my hankering at a relatively new eatery called Everbowl in the Turkey Creek area. It offers a variety of bowls, smoothies and coffee made to order. Every ingredient is gluten free. I ordered a small-sized dish, appropriately called an Everbowl for $9.49. Frozen açaí served as the base which the creator topped with crunchy granola. Next came bananas (she used a nifty tool to evenly and simultaneously slice the fruit into rounds). Then she rounded out the bowl with fresh strawberries and blueberries, and ended with a drizzle of honey. Absolutely yummy and refreshing! The bowls come in small, medium and large sizes as do the smoothies. And there are a variety of bases and toppings to satisfy most palates. You can order to-go or sit down at small tables that line one wall or a 3- seat bar facing the parking lot. The employees are welcoming and seemed enthusiastic about their jobs. It's clean and light inside, and I look forward to returning especially as the weather warms a bit. It will offer palate-pleasing treat on a busy day.

It can be pricey, though, unless the products are on sale. NormalIy I would rate them much higher; however, today's visit left me wondering whether I should return. While the employee behind the meat and seafood counter provided helpful customer service, the other employees I encountered did not. One of the sale items that brought me in this day -- baguettes for 50 cents each. What a deal, I thought, as I later reasoned that the ad: "SAVE 50 cents each" -- meant the loaf did not cost a half dollar. As I walked through the bakery/deli aisle, I saw only one baguette in a large display basket. The price, $3.29 with 50 cents off if one also purchased a pound of chicken salad. The solo employee visible in the deli had his back to me as he was busy with a task. When I caught his attention, I asked him where I might find the baguettes. He said, "back there." i asked him if there were more. He said he didn't know and didn't offer to assist. As he returned to his task and with no eye contact, he added, "They must be sold out." I walked back to the lone baguette as another bakery/deli employee emerged. I asked her if it was on sale. She didn't know and instructed me to take it to checkout where the cashier would know. WRONG. He did know that customers would get 50 cents off if they also purchased chicken salad, so I brought up the ad on my phone displaying baguettes at 50 cents off with no chicken salad attached. Such a small issue, yet with a reputation as a top-notch store, one would think customers might encounter employees skilled in top-notch customer service and product knowledge.

That concept is dominated by Whole Foods and/or incorporated within regular grocery stores. All that said, EarthFare is a unique place and very convenient for those of us in this part of town. I really like the unique assortment of items here. Great produce, bakery, meats, bulk nuts/snacks, and cheese. They also have some really good deals from time to time. Seriously, you can actually find a few bargains here. The prepared food is good too. But, the hot bar is inconsistent. Hard to know when they'll have food or if it'll be good. They could easily improve on this. Same with the yogurt selection -- it's pretty sparse. Overall: Good local/regional healthy grocery store. I recommend giving them a try.

It is small and thoughtfully decorated with some IG-worthy walls, a menu full of smoothies, bowls, toasts, and coolers of grab-and-go bowls and frozen pops. While our bowls and eggy avocado toast were made, I chatted with the owner about their biz, travels, and ingredient choices. They try to source locally and when they discovered I worked for Yelp, they asked for recs for local bakeries that make amazing bagels, as they currently get theirs shipped from NY. I love these attentions to detail and desire to support other Knox small businesses. Our bowls (a build your own and the berry bowl) were SO good...and refreshing. As a heads up, the owner told me that they overflow the bowls when you order in instead of to go, as the lid takes up more space. Ask for the lid on the side and have a few bites before putting the lid on and leaving. The toast was well-constructed and perfectly balanced with creaminess of the avo, thin slices of boiled egg, and salty/crunchy kick from the Everything Bagel seasoning. YUM. In the South, we gravitate towards fried food and pimento cheese, so Hippie Bowls is a welcomed change for my arteries. ;-) Not only will I be back, but I will recommend this biz to all of my friends.
