This is, for all intents and purposes, a Dazbog coffee shop. If you live in Denver, you know that means dark-roasted, heavy-handed coffee that can come off as over-roasted. It's how they do it and not a reflection of the staff. It is a reflection of how Dazbog roasts. The shop is located on the south end of town in a cute cabin themed space with some great old pictures of the local area. I've always had perfectly adequate service here, and I will occasionally stop in for a latte, even knowing what I'm getting from their choice of beans. I made this a destination for a bike ride from Silverthorne. I ordered a $11 breakfast burrito which turned out to be a microwave re-heat. Way over priced for this. Did the ownership change? Service this year was very different from previous trips. Staff wasn't friendly and seemed unhappy. Lattes were horrible, over steamed burnt milk that left you with a drink that you couldn't touch to your mouth for several minutes, and a predominantly burnt flavor from over-roasted, probably stale coffee. You know it's bad when you immediately yelp other cafes and toss your $12 worth of coffee in the trash. read more

Stopped here on the way back from La Francaise (see review as to why we didn't get coffee there) to grab some coffee, lattes and cold brew. Overall the coffee was good and hot. The latte choices were interesting and we ended up grabbing two specialty lattes. We didn't yelp before stopping in but I agree with others that the staff (owners?) come across as distant and not engaging, but honestly, I don't mind that in the morning. Went here this morning for breakfast and it was a bit of a let down. We didn't quite enjoy the breakfast burritos and that's totally on us but it would've been nice to get an accurate order. We ordered 3 sausage breakfast burritos but one of them ended up being a vegan one(?) with hash browns and something else in there. All we know is that it tasted nothing like the other burritos. HEADS UP: their breakfast burritos are not customizable so you better eat whatever you get! Also, I get it, it's super early in the morning and it's snowing and cold but you could really turn down the sass. This is a staple for us in Breckenridge. The coffee is always good and we love the breakfast burritos. They're fresh and filling. We sit on the patio facing Main Street and enjoy the quiet start to the day! It was fairly crowded when we came today; however everyone had masks on and good signage to keep a minimal number of people inside the store. I'm not sure if they still sell Dazbog coffee, but I believe so- and it's delicious. Definitely worth the stop while you're in town! read more

Cute place, right off main street. They are only allowing 6 people in at one time so you may spend a few minutes outside. We got a hot chocolate and a mocha haze (mocha hazelnut) which were both very good. The walls are adorned with old time pictures of breckenridge and surrounding areas. This is definitely a place worth try. The have different options through out the day. I found the place through yelp. I am not a big coffee fan so I can't tell how great the taste is but u can tell that the have enough options for the most part. I did try chocolate croissant and the coffee cake. Given not a big fan of chocolate(Yeah I know people like me do exist on this planet) I'd say it tasted okay fo me but quiet a guess a chocolate lover would say it's delicious. Breakfast burrito is disgusting and does not come with green Chile, comes with some red sauce that tastes like ketchup with Tabasco. 3 people working there and not one person smiled at any customer. ZERO STARS. There was a female and a male on their phone on a room right behind the front desk area. They saw me and my baby walk in and looked us then completely ignored us. My husband came in then he finally got up. Didn't greet us and seemed very annoyed we were in there. We ordered and then I decided to add a pastry and told my husband. The man said, " are you done" so rudely. We don't know what to do. He made our coffee and walked away. They were both so rude, but the male was shockingly rude. Other people walked in and they didn't greet them, they turned around and walked out. It's dirty in there. I hope the owner sees this message. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a quick coffee before hitting the mountains. Although, I wouldn't recommend if you are a coffee snob. The iced caramel latte I had was not good, the espresso wasn't strong and it tasted very watered down. My significant other ordered a cappuccino and really enjoyed it. This place is super convenient. The location was great for a quick bite before heading out for horseback riding, so I walked over to pick up breakfast for the group. There was a line, which is unsurprising for the weekend. I ordered for 6 - three egg burritos, two croissant sandwiches and one bagel. The croissants were great, the burritos did not compare to other establishments on Main Street, and the bagel was flimsy and almost soggy. I really did not enjoy the bagel. Good coffee location if you are staying near the base of peak 9. We grabbed breakfast here the first morning of our trip and really enjoyed the breakfast burritos. The burrito is massive and could feed one hungry teenager or can be shared as my wife and I did. They did a great job with social distancing and managing the flow of traffic in the shop as well. This place is a great spot to grab coffee before you hit the slopes. We came here two of our four mornings in Breck and thoroughly enjoyed it. They have different flavors of the day, but for me I just wanted a great house blend. As someone who normally grinds and presses their coffee every morning, I was skeptical at how good this place was. In fact, I had already been to a "trendier" coffee establishment in Breck the morning before and was extremely unimpressed. This place, however, really impressed me. How hard is it to make a great cup of coffee? Well, let me tell ya that while many screw it up, these guys know how to do it! You know the coffee is great when you are immediately zinged out and not an ounce of creamer was needed to make it taste better (they passed the test). Come to Coffee Depot if you want to grab a great cup of coffee (and yes, they have the frilly stuff too), or breakfast.
