My matcha latte with oat milk was fab, hubs just got plain coffee and he said it was great. We enjoyed ours while sitting at the gazebo near the courthouse. So bummed out about this place last year and this year. We've been stopping here for years on our way out or back from camping. The turkey paninis were fantastic, and coffee was equally great. Last year and this year they've changed the sandwiches entirely--very little turkey, different bread, way more expensive. So now you pay $17 for a very sad sandwich. I would have paid that much for the way they used to be, but we will have to find a new lunch stop going forward with these developments. Coffee is always great, so go for the coffee but skip the lunch. read more

We are passing through Fairplay on our way back from the cabin trip and we stopped for breakfast Sunday morning. The staff were very welcoming. I ordered a veggie burrito with a side of green chili and my fiancé Chris ordered a bagel sandwich with a side of green chili. Both were five out of five stars and we're shockingly amazing! Better than most quick breakfast spots in Denver. But the real kick her hair was the green chili sauce. It was the best green chili we've ever had and I am dreaming about it till this day. Definitely get a side of green chili and add it onto whatever you get because it's the best! Perfect amount of spice, not too runny, and the right amount of chunk. The fruit smoothies were... not great. At $6 a piece you'd think they would contain real fruit, but both the peach and the strawberry/banana one just tasted like the Torani flavor syrup they had lots of in the back. Not even fully blended. There were a half dozen little ice pellets left when I finished the peach one. Couple all that with the charm of a small mountain town, ambiance, and great customer service it's a stop you won't want to miss. read more

Cute shop, super friendly service and we found it to be pretty efficient despite the Saturday morning crowd. Unfortunately our two medium oatmilk lattes tasted like big cups of oatmilk...like they may have forgotten to put the coffee in them. Or only put in one shot when there should be more in this size cup. Might stick with just regular coffee next time. read more

We stopped on our way through town on a Saturday and it was very busy. It's a nice little place where you order at a counter and they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We got two iced cold brews with oat milk. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had several types of plant milk available. I didn't notice until I went up to order and saw the different types written on the refrigerator. My husband got an egg and cheese croissant sandwich and although there were no vegan options written on the menu I was able to get PBandJ on a bagel. It took a few minutes to get our order out but they were clearly very busy. My husband really liked his croissant and the bagel certainly wasn't the best I've ever had but I was happy to have it as an option. We would definitely stop back in when we are in the area. read more

I've stopped here from coffee from time to time and, what can I say, it's not great coffee. But lots of places don't have great coffee, and this place happens to be convenient. On the other hand, other places don't take 30 minutes to heat up a panini sandwich. I'm not sure whether the owners think that it's reasonable to wait that long for a sandwich. Maybe they think their panini sandwiches are so amazing that folks should be happy to wait 30 minutes for them. (The sandwich itself was OK -- not bad, not amazing). Here's what's *not* reasonable, though: refusing to tell your customers that they're in for this kind of wait when ordering. In every other place in the country where you can order a panini sandwich, you'll get in 5 minutes, or 10 if they're busy. Knowing this context, it's deeply irresponsible to expect your customers to wait half an hour without warning them. read more
