Cute little spot right, conveniently located, plenty of pastry options to choose from. I got a raspberry beignet and iced raspberry white mocha latte. Beignet was large with tons of filling and tasty. The latte came with lots of whipped cream on top, which I was surprised by, but it was good - not too sweet, which I appreciate. Staff was busy keeping up with the crowd, but nice. I would stop back by and try a few other things - their sandwiches looked great, but it was only time for coffee and a snack!

The staff are super friendly and the drinks are on the heavier/creamier side. I wish I'd ask to reduce the cream levels because I wasn't expecting a drink like this. Despite that, I was very pleased with the white raspberry drink - it is a new type of drink I haven't seen before. Come inside and step away from the cold to enjoy this always cozy French bakery in Breckenridge!

We finally made it to La Francaise. 1st time round we couldn't get a table. 2nd time around we went for breakfast and seat ourselves at the back facing a beautiful creek, I think that is the best seat in the house. La Francaise is a French bakery, they also serve breakfast and dinner. We went with their quiche ICHand a few pastries . The almond chocolate croissant was delicious. So many parties to try. Service was fast, there were only a few people in front of us and they give us a buzzer to go back for our food.

Popped in after walking around Main Street just as we arrived. Busy place, but service is fast and friendly. There are spots in and out to enjoy your treats.

This location is in a shared plaza and is downstairs. With the snow, there isn't much street parking but there is a parking lot behind the complex. You stand in line to order and then grab a table and the food and coffee is delivered to your table. The options look great as is the portion size. The service was lovely. There are two separate spaces for dining in. We tried the almond chocolate croissant, the almond croissant and the quiche. The almond paste is yummy and the croissant is flaky and just how you would want it to be. I really enjoyed the quiche as well. We will definitely be back to try more savory bakery items.

We always come here and it never disappoints. Just a quick update for new photos including the yummy pistachio choux they had in the bakery case this morning. It is big enough for two to share. Delightful

A cute little cafe located downstairs on Main Street. As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted by the staff and cases of pastries. It was difficult to decide. I went with the apple croissant and pain au chocolat. The pastries were flaky and while the chocolate was good, the apple was absolutely delicious. The thin sliced apples and a tad bit of cream in it. Omg was it good! If I was local I'd eat one every day. This bakery is a must-try!

We tried lots of different things here and they were all amazing! Do not pass this place up

    Love these pastries!

I truly love this place! I've been coming here for many years, mainly for the almond croissants! They are the best I have ever had. Something about the gooey-ness in the middle is so delicious. This time I also bought the chocolate chip cookie, my husband's favorite. Overall this place does not disappoint and the service was friendly.

BEST MOUSSE CAKE EVER! the service could have been a little bit better but the cake was great. The inside is very cute.

I've always wanted to try this bakery. We had the chance before our trip to Fla. to bring our guest for a quick bite. It's a great location central to almost everything in town. Great experience for a sit down quick visit. Featured here: 1. Ham and Brie Panini 2. Turkey Swiss 3. Croque Madame 4. Croquet Monsiuer Did you know? A croque madame is simply a croque monsieur with a poached or fried egg on top. The difference between the two sandwiches has to do with how the egg is incorporated into the rest of the ingredients: In a croque monsieur, the bread is dipped into the beaten egg before it's cooked (French toast-style)

A local shop owner recommended this stop and it was lovely! Authentic french pastries and the coffee was delicious too. We ended up getting a chocolate almond croissant and some iced mocha lattes before taking a seat on the cute patio out back. Everyone working was kind & helpful, service was quick & I would definitely say this is worth a visit if you're in Breckenridge!

My husband and I just stopped in at the Crown and it was wonderful! It just started snowing here…read moreand we were able to sit in the window seat to watch the snow fall outside. The inside of the restaurant has a really rustic feel to it, and they had some good indie tunes playing in the background, which made for good ambience. The service was very fast, and we had our food within 10 minutes. We both had one of the breakfast burritos, a mimosa, and split a chocolate croissant. All of the food was really delicious and you can tell that it was made in house. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting!

I saw affogato on the menu and since that is one of my favorite snacks, I had to try it. Not sure if it was the unsweetened espresso, but I didn't really like the flavor of that particular coffee and I felt like it was a little sloppy, they handed it to me with the coffee already poured over the ice cream, which if you know this dessert means those first few seconds and first couple of bites are the most precious when the hot coffee meets the cold ice cream, but hasn't fully cooled off yet itself. in the coffee itself is good quality & I'm sure I would come back and enjoy a latte again in the future!

Take Away: Be careful who you hire as a server…read more Diners can quickly forgive a one-off, mishap in a respected restaurant when it's busy. When a clueless, loud, "sing-song-y" talkin' server is added to the misfortune, it becomes apparent how the atmosphere of the meal is as important, if not more important, than the meal itself. Blue Moose is a solid, unpretentious restaurant. The serving are generous and the staff creates a family experience. There is enough variety and a nod to GF and V ingredients for all to feel at home. The prices reflect quality ingredients but stay below Breckenridge's gourmet establishments. Skiers love this place for their hearty meals. Blue Moose knows their audience. We tend to do breakfast at home but they mirror the vibe we love about Breck so from time to time we stop by. We split our time between Breckenridge and an out of state home. My husband has worked ski season on the mountain for decades, full and part-time. I waited a week to post this but should mngmnt be wondering about how diners are experiencing the service... Labor Day Sunday, busy & chilly, we were the first to say "sure" to an outdoor table. I requested extra broccoli with the garden breakfast. When it arrived the biscuit was in a pool of hot water. I quickly tilted the plate by placing an upside down spoon on one side to drain the water away from the over-easy eggs and veggies. I understood what happened. The broccoli was over steamed to the point of yellowing stems. It was plated and in the minutes it took to walk it from kitchen to table, the water was dripping off the stems and pooling on the plate. My thought process: I dislike wasting food, I did not want to get a cook scolded - stuff happens, we are smack in the middle of the patio - I am loyal to Breck businesses so did not want to call attention to the mishap and have that discussion invade the other diners' experience. "Suck it up and see if I can get a fresh bisquit" I thought as I lovingly caressed two packs of orange marmalade - a true sign of distinguished breakfast service. As the minutes ticked by I was increasingly dismayed that the pool of water was turning yellow from my over easy egg yolks. The mess was hard to miss. Our server flitted by our table a few time and I saw her look directly at my watery plate twice. Once she asked if everything was fine and we sort of nodded and I quickly raised my hand and said "May I please (have a fresh bisquit) but she kept walking after I said please. I placed the brocolli into a food storage container I typically bring for leftovers when dining out, hoping the plate could be removed ASAP. I salvaged the egg whites and enjoyed the other veggies. Man, she could talk up a storm with the other diners but kept gliding past us. I sustained my dream of a fresh, warm biscuit slathered with orange marmalade. Our Server-in-denial continued to flit. Neither of us could catch her eye. When she finally brought over the check, I pointed to my plate. OK - this is where I forgot a rhetorical question is too subtle during a biscuit crisis. "How does this happen?" I quietly asked, hunching over the plate, pointing to the yolky water and wet flour ball. I just wanted the issue acknowledged so I could get a quiet, sympathetic "Oh, no!" and fresh biscuit to go. Instead, she explained loudly, loudly, the hydraulics of brocolli that has not been drained. I raised my hand slightly, mumbling "Please stop, I know how to cook." I have never met the owner(s) but I was thinking of them and the people who are making a living from the restaurant. I did not want others to hear this conversation. Our server seemed to want everyone, 5 feet beyond normal earshot, to know that my ordering extra brocolli is the reason my plate has a pool of water, though I don't think they wanted to know about it. I was afraid to ask for a fresh biscuit as that was sure to extend the conversation and there was no telling what was going to be said around that issue. She then rushed off came back loudly announcing to the dining circle around us that she was "giving" us a "local" discount and our bill was now $40.16. Golly, gosh. We did not expect to be identified as "locals" as we don't go there often. We did not want this to be an issue as we are "local" enough to want everyone to enjoy a Breck Breakfast. But when she reappeared announcing her valor in securing us a local discount, it was ridiculously self-serving and once again we were forced to be "on stage" with her. I will be back to get that fresh biscuit to-go. Full confession: being forced to be "on stage" I lost track of the fact that I never stopped clutching the 2 marmalade packets and they are now in our fridge. Sorry about that.
