Coffee was ok, really sweet but that's everywhere nowadays. The real problem lied in the bakery. Everything we got was STALE. Like really stale. All together for 2 coffees and a dozen bread items it was 30 bucks. If I'm paying 30 bucks I think the bread stuff should be fresh. read more

Coffee Depot is my favorite place to eat in Syracuse. The food is ALWAYS so good, there is not one rude worker, there are so many options. For the tiny town of Syracuse, Indiana, a drive-thru coffee shop is a rare find! The Coffee Depot is just that, a drive-thru and well known to the locals. For the non-local, looks can be deceiving as it is a very small building and there is no drive-thru menu or speaker - but just go ahead and roll on up to the window and they will have a list of coffee drinks and flavors available there. They serve breakfast as well (just ask what their specials are that day), they are known for their homemade biscuits and gravy. You can get a 1/2 order of this with a choice of meat for around $4. There is a restaurant inside and seating as well. Find a seat and someone will be at your table to take your order. They serve breakfast and lunch, most of their lunch items are sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. Think small town friendly, I've never had bad service the handful of times that I have been here. read more

We are on vacation in Syracuse this week. Stopped by for some coffee and sweet treats and decided to come by for breakfast the next day. They were very busy but made sure we got out in time for our tee time at 920. All the food we had was delicious and the service amazing. The Coffee Depot Closes at 2pm, I stopped in at 1:52pm the open sign still on but the door is locked. Two people inside both saw me and decided I wasn't worth the trouble. If you're supposed to open until 2 stay open until 2. I don't that's to much to ask. I'm not from Syracuse, IN but I wanted some coffee I used my GPS to get here and that's the thanks I get. read more

The food was excellent here but the service was not so much. There is room for 30 people there and 2 tables left while we were present since they were not getting served. The waitress was trying really hard so no fault to her but they need another wait staff and also another person to help in the kitchen. 1 cook is not enough for 30 people with a variety of menu options! Notice all of the reviews only address food and specialty coffee drinks. My biggest suggestion to them, is please please get some good coffee! A coffee shop should have full bodied, tasty coffee that is pleasant when one wants a plain cup of coffee; not a foo foo fancy coffee. I went here twice shortly after it "reopened" and was appalled at how awful just a plain cup of coffee was, so I decided to not return until today. A friend wanted to meet for coffee and suggested this place so I decided to give it another shot. They have fixed this place up and it is very cute and homey. The food is adequate and tasty. Service was OK if you are not in a rush. I decided to try a cup of coffee and it was terrible. I then asked for a Latte (with no flavor) and it was at least tolerable but I could tell it was the same roast of coffee. I have several friends who have voiced the same opinion but no one wants to tell the owners! Please get new coffee!! read more

Found this gem on a trip through Syracuse when we were wishing for coffee. The kitchen was closed when we got there but the drive thru was open and we had coffee and baked goods, both really, really good. The service was super friendly and she was patient and helpful to us since we'd never been before.. she even asked where we were from and offered a punch card to earn a free drink for other trips there, which we gladly took. We left with an oreo mocha and dirty chai, both delicious and not cloyingly sweet, just perfectly balanced. We had a raspberry muffin (delicious), a brownie (even more delicious) and a cinnamon roll (spectacular!!) that they even warmed for us without us asking. We were really pleased and will definitely plan to stop by on our frequent trips through Syracuse to try other things and grab coffee for the road! read more
