I've been dreaming of getting into espresso for a long time. After over a year of research, I settled on a machine. However, in making an investment of over $4000 on a "hobby," I was hoping to find a place to purchase equipment from that would give me proper guidance in setup and use. I was so fortunate to work with Matthew at the Coffee Machine Depot. It was a 5-hour round trip to get to the facility from San Diego, but it was worth every inch of the commute. Matthew worked with me for over two hours and spent time explaining the machine, giving me hands-on demonstrations, and offering further support once I got the machine home. While I was there, I saw countless employees working with numerous customers and spending a similar level of energy and helpfulness with them. I can't recommend this business or Matthew enough. Didn't really like my experience! We were looking for a La Marzocco machine but we didn't give an open field of options, he just said "The Rocket machine was best for that and I don't think anything else is better. You COULD do this, but not the la marzoccos." I wanted to give best quality espresso for my customers especially working as a barista for years, but I felt like I wasn't being heard on my options and needs as a customer for this place. I couldn't be happier with my experience in selecting and buying a new Lelit Mara X here. Aaron was awesome to work with at every step - from going in as a novice to walking out with a machine I'm already, a week later, pulling amazing shots from. I think a great customer experience is rare - and so wonderful when it happens. This place has millions of dollars' worth of inventory, and deals with what I can only imagine are lucrative corporate accounts...and, even so, I felt valued and looked after as a customer buying the actual least-expensive machine they sell. Really, really love these guys. From start to finish, have been knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, and just really give a sh*t. Owner, Aaron, an Australian is absolutely awesome and the staff are incredible as well. It's like something is in their coffee. Or, it's a good sign? They work out of their own massive warehouse which is just the coolest. So many cool looking machines. We had a bad experience with a Rocket from Seattle Coffee Gear and gave these guys a call on a whim and just never looked back. Got a beautiful AV GS3 and love the hell out of it. Always stellar service with everyone i've encountered at Coffee Machine Depot USA. We just had to take our machine (which we bought from them about a year ago) in for some work & they were able to inform me of a few things that I could be doing differently to better help the health & longevity of my machine. Pretty much everything you could need for regular maintenance and filtration they offer as well. Perla was a tremendous help in getting us all of that information and insuring that we had all the information we needed going forward. We live pretty far away (400 miles) and she was very understanding of our need for a speedy repair! We also had a chance to talk with the technician that worked on our machine & he was able to give us insight & instruction too. Overall amazing quality service & extremely knowledgeable people. First off, Coffee Machine Depot is just a cool place to check out in Los Angeles. It's like one of those rare gems that you pass all the time without even knowing what you're missing. If you love coffee, or even if you just find espresso machines to be beautiful works of art, this place is not to be missed. I went in for a few small items to help me with my espresso game at home, and was blown away by the amount of time Aaron spent with me discussing the ins and outs of getting the most out of my Gaggia machine. They don't even sell the consumer model that I have, but that didn't stop him from taking my needs seriously. He made me the most amazing oat milk latte and showed me around, sold me some fantastic beans, and a few tools to help me make more consistent espresso. I really don't like having to write a negative review, especially now during covid when we know so many businesses are struggling, but this one has to be done. We purchased an espresso machine from Coffee Machine Depot USA for our home and it broke down twice. The second time we took it back, we were charged $85 and it was not fixed. We requested a refund on the labor since it was not repaired and they told us to bring it in yet again, even though we explained that we live far away and since they're only open M-F 9-5pm, we have to take a half day off from work every time we take the machine to them. They still wouldn't refund us for the non-repair. Their customer service is horrible, with only one employee there being efficient and responsive. We have now found a repair service in Pasadena that we are happy with. So, you can consider buying your machine here as they have a nice selection, but definitely take it somewhere else for maintenance and repairs. read more

We just recently opened a small espresso bar and our machine went down, so after making a call to coffee machine Depot, they did a quick diagnostic over the phone and suggested we bring the machine in to save time and money. Let me just say that the team at coffee machine Depot are awesome! As soon as I got there, they put a technician to work checking out my machine as they knew I needed it fixed ASAP. They were not only able to determine and fix the issue right away, they also went through the machine with me to explain other settings, recommendations to help avoid any other issues in the future. This store looks amazing and their staff seems to be really knowledgeable at first. We purchased a refurbished machine about a year ago from this company. It had issues right from the beginning. Nothing major but things that should have definitely been gone over before selling it to anyone. My issues are not with the machine, things break I get it. But it took 6 months to get a tech out for service. I called and texted the number they gave me and then the owner proceeded to blame me for the switch going out as I am apparently never supposed to turn the machine off even for service work. He was 100% unprofessional and I should have walked away then but they promised to help and well..... they didn't. After the service tech left apparently he wrote down on his report the exact opposite of what he told us in person. And there were more issues I could have solved if I had been given the correct information. Basically we are two hours from LA and apparently they just don't want to make the drive even though they charge us nearly $200 for the trip. (A service they said they provided when we purchased the machine) Oh I forgot to mention, the number I was texting was the "wrong number" and I should have been calling a different number. Well I was calling and texting the number they gave me as a contact number for the service department. But once again, I was blamed for this error. Our machine broke down on Friday again, they said it was due to scaling and build up, all guesswork over the phone, but that wasn't the problem. The new tech I have is working on the issue and it was a part that (once again) should have been replaced when refurbished. We love the machine, now that we have a better technician especially. But the service from this company is where they earned the 1 star review. Rude owner/manager, condescending rapport, blaming the customer when there were faulty parts and not returning calls or texts to the number they said to use as a contact point. Oh and one very important thing I almost left off. They have never once even acknowledged that anything was wrong with this machine. Never. Blamed me for everything even though it didn't even work when I plugged it it. I had to get a tech on the phone to trouble shoot. Another electrical issue left unresolved. They care more about getting your money rather than taking care of a customer who spent thousands. Find another company, I'm not the only one with these complaints. Ask around and you'll find they have a terrible reputation, I should have asked around more. That was my biggest mistake. read more

If you are a small business owner, or just a coffee enthusiast, coffee machine depot should be you one stop shop. The sales team is great, but the real 5 star service is the maintenance department. It starts with the women in the office, if you need anything they will answer all questions, and if they cant they quickly get the answer for you. I unfortunately had my machine break on a thursday night, and they were able to get me a rush appointment to get me up and running in less than 24 hours. I will continue to use this company as long as they are around! read more

Wow, I came into this place amazed. I went into Coffee Machine Depot looking for a job because I'm in love with espresso machines. Although I didn't end up working for Coffee Machine Depot, I can honestly tell you that this is the place to buy your next machine. When I went into the shop, the owner showed me an in-depth look at their process. They give every machine an in-depth descaling, and look closely at what parts need to be replaced. If a part is even QUESTIONABLE, they change out the part. They go through multiple test to make sure the machine is in perfect condition before selling. This process is huge when buying machine! I once bought a Reneka Viva 1 off Craigslist, and the machine was in terrible condition (it took a lot of my time and cost to get it working correctly). Buying cheap off of some random seller I found cost way more in the long run. read more

Cameron was a great coffee advocate and professional in every aspect of coffee, so if he's showing you around you can be rest assured that you'll get exactly what you need. The girls in the front Perla and Veronica are personable and professional and know their jobs. The whole buying experience there was a pleasure and fun. It's nice to know you got the right piece of equipment as they are loading it in your car and confirming it everyday you use it. This is my new go-to spot for my coffee equipment needs! My Linea Mini needed servicing and I was able to walk-in and have my machine ready to go the same day! These folks are the REAL DEAL!! I own a shop in Philly and we went to upgrade our machine to a La Marzocco GB5. After a few conversations with their team it was determined that one of their refurbished units was best for us. After clearing the financing checks our machine was on its way! Once it arrived we had a minor issue which took a few days to clear up. This was potentially due to a loose wire from shipping but made worse by a bad technician then made right by the folks over at ABCD. Aaron and his team walked us through the process the entire time and assisted from the phone well into the night. We were able to solve the issue and get our machine up and running.
