I came here for a quick pick me up drink and didn't really like it. I got their matcha latte and was left very disappointed. The matcha they used wasn't real matcha and tasted very powdery/milky. It was also WAY too sweet (even for sweetened matcha) and just tasted like sugar. Maybe their coffee and bingsoo are better options. It didn't seem like a bad spot for studying or WFH though!
I stopped by for a coffee and ice cream and left feeling like I needed to go home and shower immediately....keep reading to find out why. I ordered an ice cream parfait and it was nothing special. Their latte was just so so and it was only lukewarm instead of piping hot. TBH, I have never in my life been to a Cafe that swarmed with a ton of little bugs all along the wall and on the tables. I had creepy crawlers land on my legs (I had to continuously swat them away) and in my hair. TBH, it was gross, seriously. We switched tables and location in the Cafe 3 times. The back of the Cafe had no bugs but there was no AC either. The front of the Cafe was much cooler but the walls were crawling with tons of bugs!! Ugh....so I opted for the middle of the Cafe which had less bugs and some AC. This goes without saying, but I won't be returning to this establishment.
As stated in a previous review from another yelper, the AC was not working and it's still not working as of today 5/28. Very hot and humid and the door was closed. I think it's new owners once again. The menu changed, the food and snack selections are slim and no more monster sized cups which was my favorite. Ordered a mocha frappe today and it tasted terrible. Service was still friendly but not sure if I can come back and get drinks here anymore.
Near Murray Hill in Queens. After our dinner at Je-Ju Island right around the corner, we were looking for a bubble tea place on Yelp, and found this a few stores away. Unfortunately, they were out of tapioca, and we ended up having other drinks - ice latte, vanilla milk shake, Matcha shaved ice, Pringle, and other Korean bakery sweets. The place is simple. Not too loud (but, our visit was on a Sunday evening around 8 pm on a rainy day). Quite spacious. Very convenient for coffee since there are so many Korean restaurants right at Murray Hill train station.
We can't end off our meals without a dessert! So we spotted this dessert spot still open one weekend evening. The cashier worker really watched us talk about what shaved ice flavor to get for a bit before informing us they only had strawberry left lol. We got the Medium Strawberry Shaved Ice ($12) size, with an option of Monster, but the Medium was more than enough. They were nice to provide us with spoons and plates for our table. The shaved ice was refreshing with a great creamy texture! Strawberry would not have been my ideal choice, so I was surprised at how decent it was. It tasted like melten strawberry ice cream, with an artificial taste. I enjoyed the real strawberries on top, but there were some hidden fake fruit bits inside as well. While the shaved ice was nothing special, the texture and comfy ambiance makes Coffee Monster worth checking out for a quick dessert fix, especially in the summer.

We ordered: * melon bingsoo large $19 * iced matcha latte small $5 I love melon and this bingsoo was so good. fruits were so sweet and yummy, ice was so light and fluffy, and flavor was on point. It was more than enough for 4 people. I was surprised the iced matcha latte was so good too, so muchhh better than any other iced matcha lattes I've had. wow. I can't speak for other menu items but the items I tried were so good. I would go back if it weren't so far from me.
I stopped here for dessert one night after I had a craving for shaved ice. The interior is very cute and spacious, and there is also outdoor seating. The prices were standard and the portion size was decent. I ordered a Medium Red Bean Shaved Ice ($9.50) with mochi and boba. While I received the mochi, there was no boba. The shaved ice was good, the size was decent, and it tasted similar to other shaved ice I've had. My reason for the 3 stars is because of the forgotten boba and the woman behind the register and her attitude. I went in around 10:20 and the woman informed me that I needed to leave at 10:45 because they're gonna be closing. As far as I knew, the store closed at 11 but I always try not to be the last person in a restaurant out of courtesy to the staff. However, she was very rude as she basically told us that we needed to get out by 10:45. I also noticed that she didn't say that to the group that came after us. We got our shaved ice and ate outside, careful to leave at 10:45. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going here (especially when Coffee Factory is about 2 blocks away) unless it's later in the evening and you're really craving shaved ice like I was.

Not even anyone sitting down. My brother and I bought 2 wraps. I asked for an affogato. The staff didn't know what an affogato was. So I explained that it's an ice cream with espresso poured over it. He couldn't find it in his computer so I ordered a strawberry shake for myself and a limeade for my brother. We sit and wait for about 5 minutes. There isn't any other customer there. My brother said he'll go out to bring the car around since this shop was closing soon. He leaves. I turn around and our drinks are ready on the counter. Now im the only customer that he's had eye contact with when I ordered the drinks. I approach the counter, the worker picks up the drinks. He turns around to tell his coworker that I'm not here yet to pick them up. I was so confused. He places the drinks on the perpendicular counter so I walk over to pick up my drinks. Now I have 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches. I have to go out the door with all these things. I went to the counter again to ask for a drink caddy. The same guy is putting together tea for another customer. He told me to wait. As I'm watching him put together tea, he seemed to have a hard time checking the cup, the tea bag, the order, then again 2 more times. I just feel bad for the guy. He stopped and turned to me. I asked for a drink caddy. He didn't understand. I described its a drink holder. That it's behind him. I pointed it out to him and he handed it to me. I ran out as fast as I can. On the one hand he could just have been new. But I don't understand why he didn't recognize that I was the only customer in the first 10min and took my drinks away. His coworker was not helping at all. This was too frustrating for a late night snack. As I read other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one with a bad experience from the workers. The drinks themselves were great. Both the wraps were really salty though.
I don't know why this place gets horrible reviews. It's spacious and seating is plentiful. The staff is relatively pleasant and my food items have come out pretty fast. I've tried a few bing soos here and the one I keep going back to is the 15 grains bing soo. I think there's a bit too much red bean in it, but overall the taste and flavor is good and very refreshing. Although this is probably mostly a summer item, I eat it all year round. I've also tried the smoothie here. I'd say it's about average.

Hers was sweet which was a given since it's honey but I felt like my drink was also too sweet, since I asked for less sweet but we both tried it and found it really sweet. Mine was still a good drink in my opinion but I just found it to be too sweet. We also ordered the misugaru (Korean roasted multi grain powder) shaved ice that includes red bean and mochi. There is medium and large size, we got medium. I've had a fair share of shaved ice and I feel like this one was below par. It certainly does come with what was listed, but the flavors weren't great since there was too much red bean to ice ratio so it was super sweet, but it does not have any toppings with texture. I feel like it would be better if they offered it with almonds or some kind of crunch. It just felt like it was red bean ice, with nothing else going on, no texture. Drinks price were decent but I feel like the price for the shaved ice was a bit expensive for its quality. Total spent was $26.57. The employees were nice though, changed the toilet paper right away when I informed them there was no more. Store is a decent cafe size with plenty of seating, got a larger table that can seat up to 6-7 ppl as well.
This place serves shave milk ice, they have teas drinks. They have shave ice with green tea, strawberry, mango. They have two sizes small and large, we order the small shave ice won the mango, it came with frozen mango not fresh and syrup and whipped cream. It would been better if mango was fresh not frozen.
Stopped in for a peach iced tea! There is street parking only, and the Murray hill train is right across the street. Inside was clean, and had really cute decor. Lots of people inside chatting or working on their computer. It was not loud either. I ordered the peach iced tea, which was really good! They also had many other types of coffee, some sweet treats as well. The staff were friendly and polite. It is a really cute little stop in Flushing, totally reccomend. read more

Great local coffee spot. Ample tables available and a cool variety of treats and drinks. Extensive menu for both. I stopped by here after my massage next door just to sit and enjoy my yuzu tea. It was so refreshing on a warm summer afternoon. My buddy got a flavored iced coffee as well and she enjoyed it very much. Great spot for snacks as well. They sell baked breads, macarons, and little bites. I'm going to have to try the desserts next visit. read more

I absolutely love coming to any of the coffee monster chains, but especially this one because it's much bigger inside and seats more people. Whenever my wife and I are craving something sweet on a hot summer day we come get a patbingsu which is shaved ice with some condiments to complement of your choice. One this day we ordered a misugaru bingsu which is basically shaved ice with roasted grain powder sprinkled on top, red bean, condensed milk and mochi. The best part of this dessert is since it's shaved Ice it feels very light on the stomach and not sweet enough where you'll get sick of it. read more

Super nice workers but shaved ice could of been more better. The fruits were refreshing but the shave ice itself wasn't that good. We only tried one thing on the menu but definitely recommend getting ice cream with your shave ice! read more

Might be my new favorite spot for shaved ice. A spot with fair prices for shaved ice, also a spot that has a variety of options especially for picky kids who just want the milk shaved ice. They have such simple shaved ice but the flavor pairing is just great. It is also a good place to get work done, very quiet, comforting, and relaxing spot to work by yourself or chat with friends. I came once for the red bean shaved ice and have not stopped coming since. They give a lot of red bean and mochi so each bite you can have a little bit of each. I also tried the 15 grains shaved ice and it was so good, I finished it all by myself. They prepare the shaved ice in front of you and very quickly too. They staff is also very nice, very accommodating to what I asked for and will do it no problem! Definitely keeping this as a go to and will be back often!! read more

One of my go to places for shaved ice. Their menu is confusing however and you have to find it when walking in. It is located on the counter. Pretty fast service with plenty of seats read more

Pretty good cafe to get studying done since there's plenty of outlets and it's open till late. Only bad thing is that there's a credit card minimum ($10) read more
