This cafe is right by the Broadway LIRR station. A great stop for a quick cup of coffee, pastries and sandwiches. The pastries offered here are unique and they seem like they are this cafe's speciality. There's various mochis, puff pastries, and cakes available for purchase. I came here to try their korean street style toast which is known to have cabbage, ham, egg, and sauce in between toasted white bread. The bread was toasted perfectly and not too hard or burnt. Egg component of the sandwich had various vegetables in it as well which was surprisingly delightful. The cabbage was thinly sliced so it does not feel too difficult to bite through. There was ketchup in the toast as well to bring it altogether. I also ordered a kbbq burger which was so so so flavorful. The seasoning and marinade for the meat patty tasted like kbbq marinated bulgogi. It has a soy based and tasted sweet and savory. Definitely would order this again in the future.

We were very pleasantly surprised by our breakfast here! This is a nice little korean bakery serving breakfast and drinks. My husband and I had the BLT toast and the Korean Style Toast. We really enjoyed our sandwiches here! Both sandwiches were perfect for breakfast- tall but not too heavy and full of flavor. The Korean Style Toast was eggy, slightly sweet and the different ingredients complimented each other well. The BLT had a nice meaty flavor and the bacon was not overly crunchy, which made for easy bites. They both have a lot of vegetables and the bread isn't overwhelming. I'm normally someone who eats sandwiches open faced because I get overwhelmed by bread, but I didn't need to do that here because the bread was thin and perfectly toasted. We definitely suggest coming here for a delicious breakfast! The service is fast and the food is good. We'll be back here again soon!

From the baked goods selection-love these crispy sweet/savory snacks!

Cute local cafe for a quick breakfast sandwich. We tried the ham and egg and K-toast sandwiches and they were delicious and hit the spot. Iced coffee was flavorful and refreshing. Picked up some baked goods as well. Will be back!

Iced coffee and maple "pie" which is a puff pastry with maple on top. It is a crunchy and flaky, just lovely.

Location, location! Right across from the LIRR Broadway station (side street). A nice little cafe that has great coffee. Both iced and hot are done well. I absolutely love their iced coffee! They have a unique selection of pastries which I recommend trying. We really enjoyed the Maple Pie (see photo) which is a large flat puff pastry with a thin layer of maple candy on top. We also like the Croquant which is a layered cake with crunchy puff pastry (see photo) in between and light sweet cream. Reminds me of the Chinese Neapolitan cake with the walnuts. *you can just get the sandwich by itself or a combo with hot or iced coffee. Hot coffee is slightly cheaper.* * BLT + Iced Coffee = $11 * KBBQ (comes with a side of pickled jalapeño- so good with the burger!) + Iced Coffee = $12

This is a nice coffee shop that has excellent sandwiches. K Street sandwich was good! Coffee was amazing with some frothed milk. Nice art display as well.

Had to stop by on a weekend to try their premium korean bbq burger. Even a coworker said the burgers were really tasty. I literally walked in there just to try their burger but they had various pastries and other Korean Street Toasts also. The burgers are cooked to order so, you may need to wait 7-10 minutes. The burger was neatly wrapped in wax paper and placed in a paper container. I was afraid since it was "bulgogi" that it would be sweet but it had a hint of sweetness but you really got that korean bbq flavor with grilled onions. Accompanied by ketchup and korean mayo eith a slice of fresh tomato and crisp lettuce. It can be a bit rich so they give you a little container of soury jalapeños, just what I need to cut through the greasiness. It was still hot by the time I got home and I devoured it. Someone mentioned their French toast bring delicious so, I definitely want to try that next time with another burger!

Came by this place for a late breakfast. The inside is a cute small cafe, would be a good place to get some work done that serves Korean styled street toast, baked goods, and coffee! We ordered the K-Street Toast which has ham, cabbage and an egg omelette as well as the BLT Toast. The K-Street Toast has ketchup in it which I love, I know not everyone likes ketchup in their breakfast but honestly the combination of the sweet ketchup with the savory ham, crunchy cabbage and soft toast just makes for a wonderful bite! If it's your first time trying it, I would recommend this one! It's a great snack or light breakfast, if you haven't tried it before, it's definitely worth trying out here!

Was craving a Korean toast sandwich so I decided to drop by! I ordered the milk tea bubble tea and the K-street Toast sandwich. The bubble tea was good, not too sweet and had tapioca balls. Some balls were soft but some were firm. The K-street toast sandwich was delicious. I was sad when it was finished. :( Fantastic if you're looking for a quick, inexpensive and tasty snack!

The cafe name is actually called Cafe Toast. Recently discovered this cafe because of the Korean BBQ burger aka Tteok-galbi burger. This burger is hefty and very delicious. The patty is perfectly marinated and they include jalapeño peppers on the side which pairs perfectly with this burger. The picture on the menu is exactly what it looks like. You can add a cup of coffee for a dollar as a set meal. I heard the french toast is also very good so I'll give that a try next time for brunch. I highly recommend this cafe!

I've been visiting this Koryodang since they've opened, and I think this is one of the places where I would give an A for effort. The bakery is tiny and you would probably miss it if you're not from the area, as it's hiding by a modest little church and behind a kimbap corner shop. You might also get distracted by the tacky vape store with the parking lot, which I recall being a deli when I was growing up. Koryodang is a much humbler bakery chain in NY, and first opened on Union St. when I was a kid by a photo store (remember those?). They're not as fancy as the bigger ones that came to the states, such as Paris Baguette, but Koryodang has a couple of staples that they've always done right - the croquette, their cream/custard bread, and their family sized breads (such as the butter one). This small Koryodang doesn't have all my old favorites, including some of the more savory croquettes, but what they have still hits the spot. The staff has always been friendly and the bakery feels very small town, which rates high in my book - especially in the morning or a quiet weekend when you don't want to start the day with a mean shot of some nasty sass. The younger part-timers seem to rotate a lot, so there might be hiccups here and there, but I think that adds to the charm. Only time I somewhat get annoyed is when they sometimes forget to apply my family life card to my order, but it is what it is. Anyway, this is a tough spot, and I'm glad they're still around. This is especially true when I'm craving for some bbang within walking distance! I'm still secretly hoping they'll change up their menus sometime and bring back their potato/beef and curry croquettes, but they're doing just fine either way. Update: Woah weird, I went in today and noticed they now have potato curry croquettes! It's a bit like their other one, but curry flavored.

Okay, wow. I think I've found my fave cafe in Queens!! The Iced Matcha tasted like it was made by God. Oh, and the egg sandwich was unreal. I seriously wish I could have it every morning for breakfast. They know what they're doing. And the service was quick!! Made in less than 5 min. I had a train to catch and was nervous but they delivered.

This place is new. I'm sure they have other locations in Flushing. They have coffee/tea/bubble tea/smoothie/bakery. Bakery section has a wide variety of choices. The place is not huge, only about 7 tables. I ordered green tea latte and it tastes great! Will try their bread or dessert later!

Nice comfy small bakery/cafe. There are breakfast specials but I know I shouldn't have any. So I asked for a sandwich to be modified into a more calorie friendly meal. The cheese was taken out and instead of grilling the bread with butter, I asked for it to be toasted. They also have a dairy free option for coffee. I had mine with almond milk. Everything was done with ease. Plus, the coffee and sandwich were great!

I am a fan of the pandan flavor desserts and bought two that I wanted to try. One being a roll cake and the other layer cake. The pandan roll cake with taro I was told is a specialty that they only have on weekends. It was really flavorful, moist and spongy, just perfectly touched with a dash of sweetness in both the cake and the cream - I personally don't like overly sweet foods, and this is just perfect for me and my mom. I'm equally pleased with the layer cake as well it was very fresh and have that "QQ" texture - deliciously chewy and bouncy. This too, just hit right for me on the gentle sweetness, the pandan flavor keeping the spotlight in this dessert. My mom and I are big fans of these desserts. We just came back trying out others pandan layer cakes in Downtown Flushing and this shop beats them by a large margin. I hope to come back more when we could even though this shop is quite a distance for us.

The bakery itself is clean and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to browse and enjoy treats. Overall, Shinpuru Baking delivers top-quality baked goods and excellent service. I'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves fresh, tasty pastries.

I walked into a clean, well lit space designed for quick selection rather than lingering, and the display cases were filled with brightly decorated cakes and pastries that looked consistently fresh. The mango based cakes are the most consistent thing here. I tried one and found it light, creamy, and built around fresh fruit rather than overly heavy frosting, which made it easy to finish even after a full meal. The matcha cake also worked well, leaning more milky than bitter, with a soft sponge that held its structure without feeling dry. The pork floss cakes are one of the more interesting savory sweet options, and they came out better than I expected since they did not go overboard on sweetness. The croissants and egg tarts are solid supporting items rather than the main reason to come. The croissant I had was flaky with a noticeable butter layer, and the egg tart was best eaten warm as the custard tightens up when cold. The purple rice desserts are heavier but work if I want something more filling and texturally different from the fruit cakes. Service was generally efficient even when the bakery was busy, and the staff moved through orders quickly. Prices sit a bit higher than older style Flushing bakeries, but the tradeoff is cleaner presentation, more modern flavor combinations, and consistently fresh looking cakes. For a modern bakery stop in Flushing, Shakalaka delivers on quality and visual appeal.

The lady who I assume is the boss said she had held a pop-up shop about two years prior which blew up, hence what we see here. The selection here was deceptively small compared to chain bakeries, but it didn't take us long recognise how much power the smaller selection packs and, actually, how the selection really is not small at all. The matcha red bean loaf grabbed my attention straight away and didn't disappoint, but their red bean bun was just as impressive, as it's a more bread-y counterpart to the fluffy versions other bakeries typically have. The onioissant is definitely experimental and worked better on the chive bacon cream cheese one than on the pollack roe, which was a bit too much on the salty and fishy side for my liking. Their chocolate horn is at least twice as big as a typical one you'll find at other bakeries and has a rich dark chocolate filling which was a pleasant surprise. Their coffee brioche pastry was another hit, thanks to the strong coffee filling and delicate layers of pastry.
