A coworker recommended The Coffee Pot to me before our trip to Sedona, and after hearing about their famous omelet menu, it quickly made its way onto our breakfast list. After visiting the Pink Jeep tour, we headed over and immediately loved the vibe. The restaurant has a funky, eclectic feel that's full of personality, and we ended up sitting outside on the back patio, which was such a great atmosphere. It felt relaxed and distinctly Sedona. I'll address something that may be helpful for other travelers. As we were leaving, a group of women mentioned to us that they had experienced some prejudice during their visit. As a Black couple, that naturally gave us pause and stayed in the back of our minds while we were there. That said, I can only speak to our own experience, and throughout our visit we felt welcomed, comfortable, well-served, and completely taken care of. We saw a diverse mix of guests and staff, and everyone we interacted with was kind. I mention it only because I know other travelers may be looking for that perspective when researching places to visit when from out of town. Now for the food. The fresh-baked biscuits were massive and absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the coffee, and I have to mention the mugs because they were surprisingly cute and added to the charm of the experience. Of course, the real star here is the omelet menu. There are over 100 omelets to choose from, and as people who love a good omelet, we were in heaven. Our meals were excellent, and honestly, I wish we'd had more time in Sedona because I would have happily come back to work my way through several more options. First off this was our breakfast spots on our stop to Sedona, when we came in there was a brief wait because I took forever getting out of the car so FYI they won't seat you until your whole party is here. My son and husband both had one, the other three in our party ordered pancakes and eggs, And I decided to start with a cinnamon bun and their taco enchilada combination and that's where I went wrong. I'm sorry to say my taco was not what I expected the beef was dry and had such a stringy texture I don't know what kind of beef it was but I was unable to eat it as well as the rice and beans. The issue was the rice was a bit crunchy and the beans were too dry. I did enjoy the enchilada but I was left with hunger and I know it's my fault for not speaking up but they got busy and didn't want to be a bother. Hiked coffeepot trail on a weekend early morning, then on a whim decided to eat breakfast there. We were seated within a couple minutes (2 people). My egg (over easy) was cooked just right, and the bacon was crispy and tasty. I just wish that the combo came with two eggs instead of one. Came for breakfast with my son who is pretty picky. This is the house of 100 omelets. They have a cute gift shop inside too. Place was packed on a Friday morning around 11am. Parking lot was full so had to pull into lot next door at the movie theater which wasn't an easy maneuver since you have to pull out on to the main busy road and then pull into lot next door. This place was very busy when we stopped by for some 10am breakfast on a Friday. I put my name down and we were told it would be about 40mins. The 40mins rolled by and my name was called out. The hostess was friendly as we were seated and she left us with menus. A few minutes after, our cups were filled with water. Sedona does not have many must go to "breakfast" restaurants but this breakfast spot in Sedona came highly recommended, so we decided to give it a try. We joined the waitlist on a Saturday morning, Valentine's Morning, and were seated in about 15 minutes, which was definitely reasonable considering the weekend crowd. Service started off quickly with our drink order, but the pace slowed down after that. It took about 15 minutes to receive our beverages which was just a coffee and a Dr. Pibb. After placing our breakfast order, we waited around 30 minutes for the food to come out. When it finally arrived, not everything was included. We had to wait on our server to come by to be able to ask about our missing items. She had to make about 3 separate trips to bring out the missing items, toast and a single pancake, which just added more time to the wait. They do deserve credit for having a great variety of breakfast options on the menu, with something for just about everyone. However, overall, the experience felt fairly average. I got grits on the side and they actually were the worst grits I've had. No salt or butter or anything. I think they were made with water. Idk just not for me. The toast was the only redeemable part. I did send it back and did not order anything else. My boyfriend got the eggs Benedict and he liked it. I tried it and it was pretty decent. Good hollandaise. Although very good and flavorful, it is likely a premade product due to its symmetrical shape and size. Staff were friendly, welcoming and ready to serve your needs. From being seated, ordering and Food delivery, staff was helpful and willing to answer our questions. The only disappointment in this visit was the coffee, it was weak and lacking good strong coffee flavor, I drink Folgers coffee, which is not a very strong coffee, but it is much better than what I was served as coffee today. Since they leave a coffee carafe on your table, you can refill your cup at your pleasure. Overall, still recommend this place for breakfast.
