Vegan burrito split in half with a side of marinated butter beans. Yum!!
    Lori A.

We always stop here to eat when in Cottonwood. We love the vegan burrito- Filled with sweet potatoes, black beans, avocado, green chilies and topped with enchilada sauce. It's supposed to have pico de gallo, but we didn't get any for some reason. We also had a side of marinated butter beans. It was all delicious! Such a cute restaurant with a great patio and fast, friendly service!

Jen introduced herself with a tall bottle of water in hand and we ordered the Coffee. They have a great southwestern menu with home style favorites as well. Pancakes, eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy. My daughter ordered the heuvos ranchos breakfast, my choice was the Ruben breakfast, kind of like an open faced sandwich but topped with your choice of eggs and crowned by Hollandaise sauce!!! My side was the cheesy hash browns, amazing! Very reasonable prices and awesome staff!! Thank you very much for feeding us! Much appreciated!

    Fig chicken sandwich lunch special

Red rooster is a fun little breakfast and lunch spot right in the heart of old town, Cottonwood. We chose to sit out on the patio, which is quite dog friendly. There were many pups out as the weather was perfect this day. They do provide water bowls for doggies and we enjoyed watching all the pups interact. The patio was shaded which was nice. The food was tasty. I had a fig and ciabatta chicken sandwich lunch special. We also tried the eggs Benedict, which was my favorite. Service was a bit slow but everyone was very nice. Parking in down town can get a bit busy on the weekends but after lunch you can walk around and check out Main Street.

    I would have to agree.

Yep. Another boring 5 star for this fab estab. Had the salmon Bennie yesterday, today is the brekkie special, 3 eggs, ham, red peppers and the cheesy hash. Happy belly for the future mountain biking me. Thanks RR for the fuel up. Love the fresh squeezed oj. Atmosphere here is set to chill dee-light. Always be back.

Delicious dirty chai! Energetic staff and service. Local vibe for sure! Locals came in with a hi, wave, and sat in their usual spots. Very friendly!

Stopped here for some lunch and enjoyed the outdoor patio. Ordered the strawberry NOjito and the Rachel. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

My family visited this restaurant for breakfast Saturday morning and were greeted by a very joyful Odi. It was such a breath of fresh air after our unfavorable greeting at crema cafe a few doors down. At crema we were greeted with such a rude and grumpy gal when we entered we decided to take our money elsewhere. Boy were we happy we found red rooster! Odi totally turned our breakfast experience around. After sitting we placed our order and took in the atmosphere. My husband and I both ordered the breakfast burrito which came out quickly and hit the spot. Jacob and Odi were both welcoming and made us feel right at home during our visit. We would absolutely return next time we're in town.

We had the best breakfast of our trip at the Red Rooster Cafe! We stayed in Sedona and ventured over one day, and I'm so glad we did. The best Chai Tea I have ever had, and I've had a lot of Chai over the years. We had the two egg breakfast and it was cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned to perfection, and the pancake was fluffy and delicious. Our service was excellent, friendly and attentive!

There WAS a breakfast Ruben here.... Where'd it go?
    Turner W.

The food is amazing. Can confirm the breakfast Ruben is now my favorite version of an eggs Benedict. Fun coffee drinks we have gotten that are amazing: caramel latte with blueberry, and an iced blueberry chai latte. I also have never had blueberry in my coffee until here. Don't knock it til you've tried it.. (it's like a sweet blueberry coffee cake) Our servers Santana and Sierra gave us the best service, even when it was short staffed. The area inside has a chill vibe and I'm excited to keep trying more of the menu.

Why are dogs allowed into the inside dining area?

Been there many times with our dog and have only heard the rule that dogs are only allowed on the patio. Have never seen a dog inside. Never even seen anyone walk through with a dog. They all go around the outside to the patio.

Our first morning, we had Todd, who was very attentive and took good care of us. We had the coffee, muffin, one pancake and a breakfast sandwich with bacon and the fruit skewer, along and a mocha. Everything was very good. We were pleasantly surprised how good the pancake was as my husband is very fussy about his pancakes. I was worried the bacon would have a spicy cake, but the cake is very minimal. The bacon was delicious! Our second day was not as good of an experience as we had a younger server who was not at the level of Todd. We laid our vouchers on the side of the table, just as we had done the day before, and this he completely missed them and brought our bill with full charges. Therefore, he had to go back and redo the bill. He didn't seem fully awake. LOL. He also was not as friendly as Todd. Next time we go, we will ask for Todd. This time, we got the latte and muffin, and also shared the traditional breakfast with bacon and fruit. It was perfect for splitting.. we will definitely come back again next time we are in town. This is a really cute café.

I've been a long-time supporter and patient local observer. The new owners have made consistent wonky staff and menu changes. I'm not a complainer without offering solutions, so I've offered constructive perspective on the issues. However, if I ask you to keep mayonnaise (new addition to old menu item) out of my vegetable burrito because it nauseates me...and all I get is an argument from staff telling me it was alway made that way and the menu states it - when it clearly does not, I have no need to patronize an establishment which is devoid of basic customer service etiquette. The singular change I will not accept is being served up hatred with my order. The new staff - Pam and Violet, have overtly argumentative, unwilling, and erroneous positions toward their basic job function. No matter how much the pastry situation improved - Jessica, everything else has significantly devolved here!!!! You no longer have my patronage, and I am now the local who will overtly steer my fellows elsewhere.

Cafeteria style ordering, gigantic portions, and every sandwich/main course you choose comes with a side dish and a drink! No boring burgers here! The french fries are super tasty, but they are cooked in the same Oil that the chicken fingers are cooked in. (Just in case anyone's vegan friendly). But if you're not, it makes for an extra layer of yumminess! My dad had the bbq pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw topping and fries, I had the turkey sandwich with a pile of Boars Head turkey and jalapeño potato chips, and my guy had a veggie burger with macaroni salad, also worth mentioning the macaroni salad is gluten-free and vegan (but was still actually very flavorful!), so everyone can order something regardless of their diet.
