Nice upscale feeling and decor. Super friendly and helpful customer service. I had the quiche of the day and loved it. Deep and fluffy and a large portion served with greens. Husband loved his eggs Benedict but a little disappointed about the hollandaise sauce--it missed a bit of the traditional flavor but over all enjoyed it. We always stop here to eat when in Cottonwood. We love the vegan burrito- Filled with sweet potatoes, black beans, avocado, green chilies and topped with enchilada sauce. My daughter ordered the heuvos ranchos breakfast, my choice was the Ruben breakfast, kind of like an open faced sandwich but topped with your choice of eggs and crowned by Hollandaise sauce!!! Red rooster is a fun little breakfast and lunch spot right in the heart of old town, Cottonwood. We chose to sit out on the patio, which is quite dog friendly. There were many pups out as the weather was perfect this day. They do provide water bowls for doggies and we enjoyed watching all the pups interact. The patio was shaded which was nice. The food was tasty. I had a fig and ciabatta chicken sandwich lunch special. We also tried the eggs Benedict, which was my favorite. Service was a bit slow but everyone was very nice. Parking in down town can get a bit busy on the weekends but after lunch you can walk around and check out Main Street. read more

The menu is pretty basic with most options being pretty similar and things you can make yourself at home. Our server Jen brought us water, took our order, and disappeared. I got a croissant sandwich that definitely needed a sauce (thankfully I asked to add sriracha aioli) that came out smashed. My boyfriend got the Eggs Benedict that was flavorless, home fries burnt and black. He had half of his and decided he was done. Jen never came by to check on us and only asked how everything was once we were noticeably done with my card on the table. I told her it was just okay and she had nothing to say, just placed the check in front of me and left the dirty plates to run my card. I've had this place on my radar for quite some time, but it is always so packed. Today we decided to head over and try for some breakfast before heading out of town. We lucked out and got the last couple seats at the bar. We were greeted right away water brought to us and given a chance to look over the menu. The place is fairly small, but it has both indoor and outdoor seating. We were starving so we opted for the bar otherwise the weather was perfect to sit outside. I ordered eggs, Benedict and my husband the basic egg sausage, toast, etc. we didn't order anything to drink besides water, but I was regretting that as I watched the bartender making some pretty delicious looking coffee items as well as bloody Mary's etc. service was wonderful everywhere I loved and it didn't seem to be that anyone was having a miserable time so that's a plus a woman next to me ordered a different version of the eggs Benedict with salmon and it looked so delicious. I was excited to get mine. I ordered the basic with the ham, but I knew for sure it would be good when hers came out unfortunately they only offer country potatoes or cheesy hashbrowns. I love plain hashbrowns, but to each their own, I opted for the cheesy hashbrowns to try at least our food was a little slow to come out but again they were quite busy and getting busier by the moment as we sat for our food when our food arrived, I couldn't believe the portion size while delicious. Other tables' orders were being taken that arrived 5-10 minutes after us. Upon finally getting someone to acknowledge us, we asked if we could get service. The girl said, "I will go check." My family visited this restaurant for breakfast Saturday morning and were greeted by a very joyful Odi. It was such a breath of fresh air after our unfavorable greeting at crema cafe a few doors down. At crema we were greeted with such a rude and grumpy gal when we entered we decided to take our money elsewhere. Boy were we happy we found red rooster! Odi totally turned our breakfast experience around. After sitting we placed our order and took in the atmosphere. We had the best breakfast of our trip at the Red Rooster Cafe! We stayed in Sedona and ventured over one day, and I'm so glad we did. The best Chai Tea I have ever had, and I've had a lot of Chai over the years. We had the two egg breakfast and it was cooked perfectly. Fun coffee drinks we have gotten that are amazing: caramel latte with blueberry, and an iced blueberry chai latte. I also have never had blueberry in my coffee until here. My husband opted to try the breakfast Rueben with an Americano coffee and I opted for the traditional eggs Benedict with upgraded hashbrowns to the cheesy ones. (Definitely worth it.) Both meals were delicious. I would have to say that I liked my hubby's just a little more. I love a good Rueben but add eggs and hollandaise sauce and I am sold.
