Two words: Brisket Burrito! If you're nearby, you HAVE TO make a pit stop here for their breakfast brisket burrito. It's a detour worthy stop by the first bite of the burrito - the crispy yet tender flavorful brisket with eggs and potatoes. It's the best breakfast burrito I have ever had, and I honestly mean it. This place is awesome, I have been here a few times and wanted to wait before I reviewed. It's next store to a cookie place and Spuds on capital Blvd. Parking is shared with Spuds and the cookie place. On my first visit, we were greeted and seated fast. Inside is bright, the decor is great, and it's very welcoming. The menu is wonderful, lots to choose from, so whatever mood you're in, you're most likely going to find something yummy. I ordered a cappuccino and it was delicious. We ordered the smash burger and the Southgate Grinder. The smash burger is huge! The fries and tots were delicious too. What stood out most was that the waitress was super friendly and I'm not sure who the second Lady that came over to chat with us was but she was also super friendly. They chatted with us and made us feel super welcome. This is why I've been back several times, and the food is delicious. read more

Came on a Friday night for snacks, ended up doing Karaoke with DJ Viktor presiding. It was super fun. This girl named Sarah kept singing these country songs about freedom, which put a lump in my throat. Sis and I did a lot of Broadway tunes and Viktor sings rock so it was a nice mix. Got the nachos which were delicious and because it was happy hour we also got mini corn dogs and tots, while Sis got chowder and a grilled cheese. It was a fun night and we can't wait to do it again. read more

*Coffee review only* Came here on Saturday morning. This place is a bit out of the way for me but I've been seeing a lot of reviews so thought I'd come give it a try. Walked in to order two coffee and took about 15 minutes which is rather a bit of a long wait considering I wasn't dining in. Not a super big deal but there were a lot of workers. We got the signature dolce fine latte and a seasonal oul fella latte. I loved the dolce one so much! If you love cinnamon I definitely recommend. There's a coffee place in Lacey that has something similar but I definitely prefer this one! Oul fella is made with Irish cream, PB powder and caramel - this is okay not bad. PB flavor is not overpowering. We got both at 3/4 sweetness and it was just right. The space is spacious and clean. In a small plaza but decent parking and also have a drive through! Overall, love the coffee and would love to come back to try their food + other coffee. read more

Let's start with the good, or pretty much great. I had the, Rainier sandwich. It's the best sandwich I've had in Olympia, Tumwater, Lacey area. It's pulled chicken, pork butt, brisket, coleslaw, And cowboy candy on a bruschetta bun. It wasn't cheap but damn it was good. When you read what's on it you'll think it might be Overkill, but somehow it was just right. All the meats are season to perfection, it really was a blast to eat that sandwich. We also ordered a side of meatballs that unfortunately were cold. They seemed a little busy so we took them home and zapped em. That was a little disappointing but no big deal. The ambiance is a little corporate, and the country music isn't my favorite, but that's more about personal preference. So delicious. My chicken tacos were fantastic and my lemon drop martini was PHENOMENAL. I was with a large party and we were seated quickly and our waitress (didn't catch her name, but she had blonde braids) was absolutely wonderful. Everyone loved their food and experience. I wanted to update my review, I've been here a couple times but this is the first I've tried their food, I ordered a breakfast burrito from the drive through and to be honest I thought it would be just like all the other drive throughs and be one of those soggy, rubbery ones. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and got home and honestly I'm floored. It's so good!! I'm assuming they make them there, which would make sense since they serve actual food inside. The bacon was crispy and sweet and the eggs are fresh! I paired it with the salsa and it's also amazing. This place is a gem! This place is great. I tried the taco flight, brisket tacos were the absolute best. The brisket was juicy and tender. We had lunch here and the good was nothing to writ home about. Fries and tater tots were very crispy, so were excellent. Cole slaw and corn bread muffin were also something I would eat again. However, I had the BBQ pulled pork and it was AWFUL. Not only were there several burned pieces, it was so dry it was like trying to chew leather! I couldn't eat it. I mentioned it when I paid my bill, i wasnt adked how our meal was,l the response was "We could have brought you mor BBQ sauce". The sauce wouldn't have made it more edible. I was then told I could have had a different item, only issue, I wasn't aware that would have been an option as nobody came by the table to see how we were doing. BBQ Blues The Good: The Mount Rainer sandwich was very good. I loved the BBQ sauce and the pork and brisket were delicious. The chicken was tasty but dry. Fries were frozen crinkle cut. Meh. The chopped salad was okay but it wasn't chopped. It was more like a Knife and Fork lettuce salad. The salad dressing was good. The Bad: Just like every other new restaurant in Thurston Co, there are no acoustical barriers, loud music, and all hard surfaces. So it is really noisy. We would only come here for take out. But others won't mind. Too bad because they have some yummy sounding cocktails and this would be a perfect place for our monthly dinner with 6 friends. The Ugly: The restaurant is newly opened and kinks in service are to be expected. We understand that and didn't expect perfection. But orientation to good customer service and team work should be the culture right from the start. After waiting forever for our take out order, it finally appeared on the to-go window shelf. And there it sat. Forever. Again, kinks that I'm sure will get worked out. But when we finally caught the attention of one of the many employees who were standing around talking, we asked if that might be our order. She said, "Oh I don't think yours is ready". But, of course it was ours. When she brought it over, we mentioned that it had been sitting there for a really long time. She let us know that managing the take out orders isn't her job and told us to say something next time. (We thought that was what we had just done...) A simple, "Whoops, sorry about that" would have been all that was needed. We'll give it another try because we love BBQ and this area needs a good option. read more
