I ordered the matcha latte, which was really good--I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the strawberry matcha latte next. The salted cheese foam on top was absolutely delicious and really made the drink stand out. My husband got the black milk tea and said it was chef's kiss--definitely a win. We ordered two of the "Eggssential" sandwiches--one with bacon and one without--and both were excellent. A small note--the chairs are visibly worn, and one was falling apart, but my husband was able to swap it out easily, so it didn't impact our experience. The music had a really nostalgic vibe, which we enjoyed. The only thing I'd mention is that a few songs had explicit lyrics, so it might be something to keep in mind for families with young kids. Just Cuz Cafe is a Vietnamese-themed cafe located in Lacey, a short walk from Saint Martin's University. The parking situation is a bit limited in the area, but manageable. There are street parking and a parking lot behind the complex the cafe is located in. Do be mindful where you park because it looks like this parking lot is meant for residents living in the apartments in this area. I noticed there were some other parking lots nearby that were quite spacious but might have been for other businesses in the other. I have been wanting to visit this cafe for a while and finally decided to over the weekend. I rarely ever go down south of Tacoma, so it was a nice change of scenery. It was a bit busier than I expected it to be at 11:20AM on a Sunday. However, my sister and I were able to snag a table after placing our order with the cashier/barista. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte for myself while my sister ordered a regular Matcha Latte. We both ordered our own Bacon Eggsential sandwiches as a little breakfast/brunch item. The Bacon Eggsential is a sandwich made with bacon, soft scrambled eggs, garlic croissant toast, cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, sweet mayo, and chives. The sandwiches were SO GOOD. It was truly worth the $14 for the sandwich. It was a lot bigger than we expected, too. It was honestly a bit intimidating when it was brought out to us. It was beautifully crafted and plated up to show the softness of the scrambled eggs and melted cheese. The drinks were good, better than some other matcha places I have tried for sure. I liked that the cups were on the bigger side too. If there is one thing I recommend ordering, it's the Bacon Eggsential sandwich! If you aren't a bacon fan, there is one without bacon! read more

The food never disappoints and we love the tea drinks! The staff there are always so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance gives off the come in and chill for a while. Restrooms are always clean when we visit. I would definitely recommend this place without hesitation and love to come here when I get together with my girlfriends that visit. I've been here a few times, and I am always looking for an excuse to swing by even though it's out of the way of my normal routines. The strawberry matcha here must have some kind of addictive chemical in it, because it's one of the best drinks I've had in my entire life. Delicious matcha and a perfect level of sweetness and strawberry flavor to complement it, without overpowering the matcha. I assume it's real matcha and not artificially sweetened like it is at coffee chains like Starbucks. The coffee is phenomenal too. Really well brewed espresso, very flavorful, not burnt at all. This place hit the spot on the way to Hoh Rainforest! Plenty of street parking on rainy Saturday morning and it wasn't busy. Good for us! We ordered two iced Vietnamese coffee and shared a beef Banh mi sandwich. There were quite some seating areas inside where people were dodging the rain and enjoying a nice brekkie. We had our food together go, but the coffee definitely perks up our road trip energy. Vietnamese coffee hits different and to go it off with salty cream. Yum! The sandwich....OH EM GEE! Over hyped. Really disappointed. I really really wanted to like this place and was so excited to try it. I have to say it's a very limited menu. We ordered the coconut iced coffee and a caramel cappuccino and the egg sandwich that's featured on their menu currently. The coffee's both came out very quickly. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to get out to us. For the size of the coffees and the sandwich I found it to be pretty expensive. Also, I don't know what kind of creamer or sweetener. They're using in their coffee, but it leaves a really really bad aftertaste. I only ended up drinking about three sips of my coffee and I couldn't finish it. The egg sandwich had way too much sauce on it, and the eggs weren't fully cooked which obviously people are different about the eggs, but I just found it to be not good we ended up throwing it away. Like I said, we wanted to like this place, but it was just overpriced and not very good . The customer service and the ladies at the counter were both very nice. Washington may seem like the home of coffee but, having lived outside of the country, Europe and Asia have rebranded the coffee experience and it's not easy for any cafe in the states to compare. With that having been said, Just Cuz Cafe has both unique, sporty ambience and, more importantly, unique drinks with a very Asian influence, like matcha, ube, and black sesame, they even have cheese foam topping, something I've only really tried on milk tea. Additionally, they have avocado smoothies, which are amazing as they are BUT taste great with a shot of espresso as well. We stumbled upon this spot hungry and on the way to Portland from Seattle on a Friday afternoon traffic. We are glad we did cause little did we know they are Cambodian owned and we love to support our fellow khmers. Amazing matcha, aesthetic all around, but the smell... I initially was drawn to this place from the aesthetic labels on their drinks and solid ratings. I decided to meet up with a friend on a Thursday morning 9 AM to be exact. DRINKS 8.5/10 Matcha Latte Vibrant, creamy, and unmistakably green. The flavor delivered: smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced with their house sweetener. The salted cheese cold foam is a must. I probably could've done with a touch less sweetener, but overall, this was a hit. However, the space had one major flaw. From the moment we walked in, there was a strong scent of cooking oil smell hanging in the air. At first, I brushed it off, but after about an hour of catching up, I left and realized the smell had completely attached itself to my clothes and wool Margiela blazer. I could smell it on me for the rest of the day and felt so nauseated, which killed the mood significantly. To be fair, it could've just been something going on in the kitchen that morning, maybe off timing I guess, but it's worth mentioning for anyone sensitive to scent, because it lingered on me much stronger than hotpot. I'd definitely come back for the matcha, just as a to-go order next time. On the positive note, the cafes aesthetic was nice. Frozen mango smoothie is both fresh and creamy and has a small layer of (I'm assuming coconut) tapioca pudding at the bottom.
